Costa Blanca North's best kept secret.

I stayed in this apartment at the end of July (2009) with my wife and 2 boys (11 and 12). Communication with the owners was excellent and everything went well in terms of directions, key collection and a chat with the owners the night before we left. We have been to this area many times and usually stay in Javea, this time we decided on Jesus Pobre for a change of scenery and we were very happy with our choice. The village is in a perfect location, situated approx 8kn from Javea and Denia, more importantly 5 minutes from the motorway, making it easy to get to all the major destinations.

The actual apartment is superb, the owners have gone to great expense flying in quality furniture from the UK and fitting the apartment with quality air conditioning, this was really appreciated as the temperatures were regularly around 38 degrees.

Whenever I return to the Costa Blanca we would certainly return to Jesus Pobre and this apartment, thanks for a great holiday.
Owner's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review on our apartment - which is like a 2nd home to us! Feedback is so important.

We are pleased that you had such a good time and enjoyed the location and the apartment itself and look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you again to Jesus Pobre.

Thank you again for your comments.

We have just returned from a great week staying at this apartment. The facilities provided were first class. The apartment itself is finished to a very high standard and the owners had thought of everything as regards TV CD Player DVD player etc. The kitchen was excellent too. It was a great base for visiting Javea Denia etc and we also had a trip to Mundomar near Benidorm. The town is just the right size and we were lucky to catch the fiesta with something going on every day of the week including bull-running, gigantic paella, free beer days and games for the kids. So our little girl really loved it too.

This superb apartment afforded every luxury and the presentation was excellent. Well located for touring with the towns of Denia and Javea readily accessible by car. Lots of nice walks and numerous restaurants to suit all tastes within a 10 mile radius. The village is peaceful and still 'Spanish'. We would not hesitate to go back.

Well worth it!

The apartment lived up to its billing in every way. It was perfectly clean with freshly laundered towels and sheets. It was tastefully furnished, and extremely well equipped. We loved the location of the small village with very friendly local people. We tried two of the three restaurants and had good value in both. There was a handy shop and bakers nearby with lovely fresh bread every morning. A large supermarket just a five minute drive away had a huge range of food, with excellent fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, and fish. Set in amidst orange groves and vineyards with a beautiful view of the mountain. It was only a fifteen minute drive to the beach resort of Javea, where there were bars and restaurants to suit every taste.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this apartment.

BEST APARTMENT WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN!!

This is a first class apartment equiped with everything you could wish for and I am sure that all its visitors would agree. We have never stayed in a more clean and comfortable holiday property.

Jesus Pobre is a lovely traditional Spanish village, small and self contained. However, we would recommended a hire car if you wish to go sightseeing. The area is also very good for all those who enjoy walking as the Montgo National Park is only a short walk/drive away. If you are feeling energetic enough, the views are great from the top of the Montgo!!

We have highly recommended this apartment to all of our family and friends.

We enjoyed the stay in this delightful apartment. It was quiet and clean. Some might found it difficult to climb up the sprial staircase with heavy suitcases. We had very good meals in the local restaurants, great bread stores and friendly locals.

The view may have changed since our stay as there are more new buildings coming up. Driving is easy to other places. We will certainly return to the area, just like the past 4 years.

The apartment is first class, it is obvious that the owners have put in a lot of thought for the comfort of visitors. I stayed with my husband, my grown up children and their partners and we all found lots to do in the area and Jesus Pobre was lovely, really unspoilt but still with facilities. However, to enjoy the area you must have a car, there is so much to see, do, eat and drink. The walking is also excellent and we found a great route to the Marriott Hotel, where the boys played golf and us girls spoiled ourselves in the Beauty Spa. Will certainly try and visit again next year and would highly recommend both the apartment and Jesus Pobre to our family and friends.
