Reviews of Property: Detached split level villa, with private pool, would suit 2 families

After a very hectic few days in Barcelona it was lovely to be in a beautiful tranquil area of Costa Brava.
The villa lived up to all our expectations, clean, spacious, lovely scenery, gorgeous pool, great outside areas,

Our party consisted of grandparents,parents,uncle and two years old grandson, the villa offered something for us all.

The owner was very helpful sending us maps and answering our queries very promptly. We would like to recommend this property to all ages. A lovely holiday was had by all.

Casa Tramontana was a last-minute booking by our family : immediately this house draw our attention because of the very good comments by other guests. And as everybody knows, you don't take any risk when your vacation is on the line.

The contact with the owners was very spontaneous : emails were answered quickly and we were provided all the necessary information about the villa. We could feel immediately that the owners do their very best in everything concerning this property, and want to thank them for this immaculate service.

At the arrival in Calongé we had to sign in with the responsible agency : they welcomed us in the very best way and they even escorted us towards the house after giving us the keys and extra information. We appreciated this a lot after a 17-hours-drive !

Once we took the entry towards Mas Pere – where the villa is situated - we were a bit astonished by the bad shape of the roads. Climbing the hill further and further, we arrived at the property and just by opening the gates, we already could see that it was a very nice, well-kept villa that we had rented.

Casa Tramontana really is a fantastic villa : everything that you need is there, and it is ideal to spent a holiday. The swimming pool is grate, the surrounding is very nice, the house is fully equiped with al the stuff that you need : even cd’s and dvd’s are provided. There’s outside music, a gas-BBQ that we used a couple of times, a tennis-table and our car was protected against high temperatures by a car-port (also something that we could appreciate a lot). The neighbourhood is very quiet, there realy is nothing going on and nobody will disturb you while taking a short afternoon-nap by the pool.

Calongé is situated between Palamos and Playa d’Aro : the first being a more quiet and authentic town with fine fish-restaurants, and the second always being crowded, with a lot of shops to visit. We already knew the region, and one of the charms is that you can find a bit of everything.

To conclude : do not hesitate for one moment to rent Casa Tramontana, and do not question the onwers for even one second : whenever you want to do a "risk-free rental", you're on the right place !!

Staying in this fully equiped villa was worth every penny we paid ! We know the region very well and stayed many times at Pals, with and without friends. This was the first time we looked for British houses. Mostly was playing at nice golfcourses and visiting Barcelona and Girona the first goal of our holidays as well as driving around with our cabrio. Well, well, well...... The first week we only left the residence for shopping at the supermarket and lunching and dining outdoors. Staying at the private pool was this time our first need. We forgot all our businesstroubles (we have a consultancy bureau) and became extremely relaxed. The second week we played golf only two times at the wonderfull course of St. Christina d'Aro (Costa Brava Golf Club), visited the above mentioned cities and drove a little bit around. Coming back at 'Casa Tramontana' gave us a 'home-coming' feeling. Everything was much better than we hoped for. If we come back in this region (and why shouldn't we), we hope that this residence is disponible and we can experience this feeling again.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Casa Tramontana and what a gorgeous place this is. If we could have stayed longer we would have! We were all sad to leave. The villa is so peaceful and relaxing with lovely views of the surrounding hillsides and forest. The property is very well equipped with everything you will need for a family holiday. No detail has been overlooked at all, it is a real home from home, from the Table Tennis Table, and dart board, right down to a selection of DVDs, Videos and books to choose from. Laying on a lilo in the pool listening to the music on the outside speakers is just sheer bliss. There are several different tables for eating at, whether you're wanting to sit in the sun or shade, every need is catered for. The owner of the property provides excellent service, the villa was clean and tidy on arrival and even a lovely welcome pack was provided, which was very much appreciated as we arrived at midnight on Saturday night. Every query we had was answered promptly and nothing was too much trouble. When we had a query about the downstairs shower, the agents got someone out to have a look at it within a day. The property is very well situated for local amenties. There are a variety of supermarkets within driving distance. The lovely town of Palamos is only a 15 minute drive away, or you can take a walk along the coastal promenade from Sant Antoni de Calonge to Palamos which takes about 45 mins and is a really lovely evening stroll. The coastal path from Sant Antoni to Playa D'Aro is also a lovely walk, it takes you right along the coast, through various gorgeous little coves and is a really nice walk, which takes about an hour or so (depending on how many times you stop to take in the breathtaking views!). The resort of Playa D'Aro is only about 15 minutes away by car and is a really bustling resort with great shops. We visited Barcelona for the day, and got details of where to catch the train from the agents. The village to catch the train is only 40 minutes from the villa and the train takes about an hour. It is well worth a visit, although a day isn't long enough to appreciate all the city has to offer. All in all our visit to Casa Tramontana was brilliant. We all really loved the location of the villa, which was peaceful and tranquil but not too far from any "action" if we wanted it. Just the perfect place for a famly holiday. We would recommend the villa to anyone and hope to return again one day.
