A very late review !!!

Review Submitted: April 25, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2008
My family stayed in this apartment from the 29th August to 5th September 2008, the rooms were spotless and exactly as described.
We have previously stayed in every hotel in Gibraltar but for convenience and value for money this beats them all.
The rooftop pool was a bonus and much enjoyed by the children.
The apartment is very convenient for the local Morrisons supermarket and only a very short walk from the harbour.
Casemates square is great for eating out and relaxing, though the new marina area also has some great restaurants.
If you are reasonably fit,do not bother getting a taxi from the airport to the apartment, just jump on the red double decker bus, I think its a No9 parked just outside the terminal and get off at Morrisons, then its only a 50 yards walk.
We were very impressed with Jackie Hobbs, her communications were excellent and she takes a real pride in her customer service.
We have re-booked for two weeks in August 2009 and all being well, subject to apartment availability we will go the next year as well.
Owner's Response: Well certainly better late than never - thank you for such a lovely review and your very kind comments. You are absolutely right I do my utmost to be efficient and professional - I feel very lucky having lived in Gibraltar for a long time that I am passionate about my clients enjoying their experience there. Best wishes, Jackie

Lovely apartment. Suited our needs well. We had a small hitch on arrival, but it was sorted out immediately. Thoroughly recommended and we'll stay again on our next visit.

We had a wonderful 3 weeks in this apartment. Everything about it is as described in the advert. Location, layout, facilities great. Spotlessly clean. A lovely Housekeeper every Friday to replenish linens, towels etc & clean. Great customer service from Jackie - I had a little self-inflicted, senior moment on arrival, but Jackie was available on the phone to sort me out.
Jane is not too good at the walking, so the location was perfect - right by the bus stop & taxis available too. Lovely & quiet at night & a very comfortable bed. In the apartment was a helpful typed list of tips as well as a plethora of eating, dining and entertainment brochures. I highly recommend this apartment & Jackie's professional service.

Fantastic location & suberb apartment

Review Submitted: November 5, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
The apartment is exactly as you see on the pictures in this website and was very luxury and clean. My friend and I had a lovely time here (although we both fell ill and had to return home early). We stayed mostly in the apartment all week and it catered to our every need. It was in a great location, close to everything. Only a 5 minute walk to the town centre and just around the corner from morrisons. It was a very comfortable and luxury stay. The weather was lovely and hot but it was nice and cool in the apartment. We had no problems with noise at night and the views of the boats and the rock were fantastic. It was also booked easily and Jackie was very helpful and informative. I strongly recommend this!
Owner's Response: Anna thank you for this review and for the little card you sent thanking me - I am sorry you didn't mention you were ill when in Gibraltar but I am so pleased you had a good time. very best wishes, Jackie

My husband and I stayed in the Eurotowers apartment for one week. We had such a lovely time. The apartment was just as shown on your website. Everything was so clean and how lovely to see Morocco every day and to watch the ships going in and out of the harbour. Thank you to Jackie and her daughter Shelley for all their help they really made our time there so enjoyable.

CERTAINLY NOT 'LUXURY' AS DESCRIBED

Gib Lovers Devon
Review Submitted: September 25, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
My husband and I stayed here with our daughter from 5th Sept for a week.
Although we love Gibraltar having visited many times in the past, we were not very impressed with the apartment for the following reasons:
1) The air conditioning does not work.Temperatures were pretty high during our stay and when returning to the apartment after being out for a while the heat hit you as you walked through the door. The first thing we had to do was open all the windows to try and get some air blowing through. The fans are of no use at all, they just blow the hot air around! The temperature was especially unacceptable at night as having the windows open led to us all getting bitten to death by mosquitos, even though we sprayed repellent and had the 'plug in machine' on.We had to take our daughter to the local hospital as she received over 100 bites and this really contributed to us not enjoying the holiday as much as we had expected.
2) The first 3 nights we were kept awake by a door constantly 'squeaking' and 'banging', this seemed to be coming from directly underneath us.We spoke to the security guard in the other block who was extremely helpful and he advised us that there were offices on the floor below us which operated 24 hours a day. After further investigation we discovered that the noise was coming from a door leading onto the balcony just below our bedroom window. This balcony was constantly being used by the office workers having their 'cigarette breaks' and believe me there must be a lot of employees doing the night shifts as they were coming and going all night.Luckily the security guard got in contact with the company for us and they fixed the door to stop it squeaking and they were going to put up a sign asking employess not to let the door slam shut. The noise certainly improved, although we could still hear them talking and laughing, not helped by the fact we had to sleep with the window open as explained above.I do believe that potential renters of this accommodation should be made aware of the 24hour offices underneath.
We were quite amused by the fact that on the fact sheet supplied, the owner asks you to 'refrain from making loud noise after midnight' so not to upset your neighbours.
3) We were led to believe from the desription that the apartment was 'Waterfront'.It is actually a good 10-15 minute walk to the Marinas.Realistic outlook from the windows should be described as showing the side of the rock, various shabby flats and ofiices, cont:
Owner's Response: I am really sorry that you didn't contact me so that I could sort out your problems for you - there is a law in Gibraltar that restricts noise nuisance after 11.30 at night which is strictly adhered to - and the air-conditioning is now fully operational. I am also sorry you didn't like the view of the Rock and the Straits from your window. I know you can't please everyone and your comments are totally at odds with other guests but I am deeply disappointed that you didn't enjoy your holiday. Kind regards, Jackie Hobbs

Superb Apartment

Eddie & Keith Bushey Heath
Review Submitted: August 27, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
A superb place from which to explore Gibraltar and the surrounding areas. Very comfortable with all that is required for sel-catering - although we ate out most of the time.

Great location - about ten minutes to town centre, Marina Bay and Queensway Quay all of which have some really good restaurants - and some more economical ones as well.

Lifts to all floors and air conditioning (although when the wind blows - most of the time - it is probably better to just open the windows).

Very close to the Morrisons supermarket - open weekday evenings until 10:00 pm, and there is even a shopping trolley - one wheel has a habit of falling off but stays in place when the trolley is full - very useful for us 65+'s.

Highly recommended.
Owner's Response: You sent such a lovely email thanking me for your holiday - always a pleasure to help - I shall replace the shopping trolley! best wishes, Jackie

Very convenient for all Gibraltar has to offer and within easy walking distance of shops. Air conditioning a bonus in the heat but needing a wee bit maintenence to ensure continued comfort. Would recommend to others as a home from home rental Although expensive would use again
