Relaxing Break

We had a fanatastic week in this villa. There was only two of us and this private, secluded villa provided a great base for a romantic holiday.
Brain and Pat were both very helpful and the restaurant they recommended in the nearby medieval town was outstanding.
I would recommend this property to friends. The pool was grreat and the villa contained everything you could want.

Long weekend with friends!

Review Submitted: September 24, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
I stayed 4 nights with 6 friends to celebrate a milestone birthday. The house was more than comfortable with a fantastic pool area that is not overlooked. The setting is beautiful and sipping morning tea on the front terrace looking at the view was a wonderful way to wake up. Pat and Brian were extremely helpful especially with airport transfers for one of the party who couldn't make the whole trip meaning the champagne (ok cava) could continue to flow for the rest of us uninterrupted. Hoping to return for a longer stay next year!

We had a fabulous holiday in this villa, Pat and Brian were perfect hosts, they met and showed us around the villa and we felt at home straight away. The apartment was very clean and in good condition.. even a dishwasher.. a luxury we don't have at home! The villa is ideally located for long leisurely walks and adventurous bike rides and it is so peaceful and quiet to relax by the pool with a glass of sangria! We even managed the beach a few days too.. truly perfect.. the best of both worlds.. will definitely be going back next year!!

Excellent family get away and lovely Owners

Review Submitted: September 8, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We satyed at the VIlla this year and had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room for 4 Adults and 4 Kids under 11. The bedrooms were large enough for 2 people to sleep in them with wardrobes included. They are bigger than our small bedrooms back in the UK, so unless you come from a mansion then the rooms are a good size.

The villa was clean (the owners had 4hrs to get it ready for us), and they did a good cleaning job in limited time. We did not have any complaints whatsoever about the cleanliness. Bathrooms were a good size and we did not see any fungus. All in all, if you are looking for complete perfection then you should stay at home. Holiday homes can never really compare to your own house.

The owners lived under the villa, but they were no trouble at all. You only saw them when the pool required maintenance and when there were problerms you raised to them, oh if you also invited them for a drink, like we did and we enjoyed their company very much.

In reality it was very good to have the owners near by, because if there were any problems, wasp nests, fridge broken etc, they could act upon it immediatley. We have stayed in villas where you do not see anyone for 3 days until the pool is maintained or you have to call the travel company who then organise the maintenance which can take a couple of days.

One thing. You need a hire care for this Villa, do not come without one unless you are willing to stay put and hungry for your stay. If you want to reduce costs by having only one hire care between 8 people, take up the offer of a pick up from the owners (if available). You can find it difficult to find the villa if you do not know your way. Once settled it is easy to drive down to town and get supplies and find your way back.

Thank you for a wonderful time.

Great Villa and pool in great rural setting

Review Submitted: September 7, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Recently spent a relaxing 5 days with friends in this lovely rural villa. It has a lovely well maintained pool which is of excellent size along with outside areas with sun loungers and dining area.

The villa has 4 good sized bedrooms and large living area all maintained to a very high standard.

The children all had a wonderful time in the pool and enjoying exploring the gardens.

We would like to thank Pat and Brian for being such fantastic people to rent the villa from, we had a fantastic few days there and wished it could have been longer.

The villa is a great place to relax in yet only a few minutes to any amenities you want, would highly recommend the Villa.

Had a fantastic holiday, many thanks

A excellent choice for a holiday getaway from hustle and bustle of life, Arrived late night to find the owner meet us there with very friendly smile and made us feel very welcome and comfortable.
The house is beautiful with total privacy we found it very clean and well equipped ,amazing view from the front balcony over the mountain great place to sit in morning and lovely patio and barbecue area at back near fenced off pool area which was great with 2 young kids.
This was one of the most relaxing holidays we have had and came back feeling recharged, we will be going back again.

Deceived

Review Submitted: August 16, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We've had lovely week with our friends but that was not due to the accomodation we've rented. Although the owner was helpfull we've found a lot of disappointing issues.

-Surface was a lot smaller than mentioned; 120 instead of 240 m2 !
-3 small bedrooms, (6 beds in bad state) en 1 large bedroom instead of 4 large one's
-thin walls (noise) en warm bedrooms, 1 airconditoned bedroom; airconditioning squeeked. Sunscreens broken or disabled
-penetrating dog smell (pets were not allowed!)
-lots of dog hair untherneath furniture
-very greasy cooker hood, incomplete and broken kitchen tools and equipment (dishwasher drawer was broken, fridge broke down)
-2 non-modern bathrooms, not ventilated; much fungus! very dirty toilets!
-doors did not close or open properly; drawers didn't work well
-the mentioned (small separately let) appartment; apeared to be the owners own house
-garden was dry en not maintained, overgrown old broken fences and furniture in borders

It didn't feel like staying in 'beautiful a holiday villa' but more like staying in someone's private badly maintained house.
Owner's Response: We have had 43 clients with no bad reviews. These complaints were not mentioned by the renters at the time.
The property was very clean as commented on by many other clients and the bathrooms with NO fungi were updated 5yrs ago and have windows. When the fridge broke it was replaced within 30 min.The dishwasher was professionally repaired only days before. The bedrooms are all of over average size and construction.I and the next clients am unable to find the broken chair, fence and kitchen utensils and other faulty items mentioned as I of course would sort the problem out as always.Gardens in Spain in August are dry. Lovely family friendly house

Earlydipper United Kingdom
Review Submitted: September 23, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
A lovely, well equipped house in an idyllic setting. Don't go if you like bright lights and bustle, it is very quiet and the house is in complete privacy.

The main attractions of the house are a spotlessly clean and good sized pool, air conditioning and lovely shaded terraced areas on both sides of the house. It is blissfully quiet all day though you might occasionally hear families having fun in the very large pool at the restaurant - a 5 minute walk across the valley - well worth a visit if only to use the excellent recreational facilities there.

Our lovely holiday in this beautiful villa

mightymartin Louth, Lincolnshire
Review Submitted: September 17, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
We really enjoyed our week in this villa, the accommodation was clean, tidy and nicely decorated with an excellent swimming pool. There was more than enough room for all six of us.

The villa is superbly located for those that enjoy walking, cycling, and anyone who loves nature and the countryside, in fact we could have easily spent another week there and never run out of things to do. The supermarket and any other amenities are a short drive away, there is also a good restaurant only a short distance away from the villa.

The owner was more than willing to help regarding any questions. This villa represented good value for money and therefore I would recommend it to both friends and family.
