Hi John. We would like to thank you we had an excellent holiday in GranAlicant everything went well from the word go. No tedious journey to our holiday resort this year just a 15 min drive from Alicante airport and hassle free. The accommodation was great. In a good location and closet to all amenities with plenty of space for the four of us. All we needed and spotlessly clean. Hope to go again next year we were so impressed. Best Regards John, Ann and the kids.

Family Holiday with grown up kids.

All 7 of us had a great time in this townhouse. The weather was hot and sunny and the air con. and all appliances worked well. The barbecue and the English TV was used at nights. Walking distance to the sandy beach (also nudist) just the right ingridients for a perfect holiday. Used my London membership at Alicante Virgin Active Gym.
Snorkelled and made wondeful under water photos.
The house was clean with lots of kithen ware and beach towels. Rested and returned to London with great memories. Would like
come back next year.

Great Base for a Family Holiday

Review Submitted: August 16, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
This Gran Alicant (adjacent to the established town of Santa Pola) villa proved a great base for our 4 week family holiday.

It was comfortable, well-equipped and spacious, providing 'home-from-home' accomodation - and all at a reasonable price.

The lower floor proved a big hit with our kids who were able to take refuge from the fierce midday heat by playing pool (they were expert by the end of the holiday!). The 3rd floor bedrooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable. The family bathroom is large - and has a good shower - and the ground floor shower-room is very handy.

The roof terrace offers very private bathing - though you will roast up there, so be careful and slap on the factor 30!

The villa is a good walk from the beach (about 20 minutes) - which is accessed via the appropriately named 'Cardiac Hill'... However, there is a very reliable, high quality public transport system, so the lazier can rely on that to get them there in 5/10 minutes (or else use a car).

The Maxcoop supermarket directly across the road from the villa is brand new and very well stocked and reasonably priced. However there are the usual Lidl, Mercadona and Aldi a short journey away (bus or car).

There are numerous places to eat out nearby - all are clean and well-priced.

Alicante is worth visiting - either by car or bus.

However, Santa Pola is a family favourite. It's a 'working' town - with a fab fish market and numerous supermarkets. But it's the relaxed atmosphere of the seafront at night-time which is so attractive. Beaches in Santa Pola are large and clean - a word of warning: Playa Lisa is the safer family beach, with a sheltered and shallow sea - the levante is great for wind-surfing, but large waves can really take you by surprise.

There are numerous fab eateries in Santa Pola - it's a holiday essential to try the Tapas restaurant - especially the baskets of pescaditos and the gambas con ajillo (garlic prawns).

Visit Cartagena (N332 then the AP7) - absolutely gorgeous and a firm family favourite. Go to Torrevieja for fun and shopping. Elx is sophisticated - and offers great sight-seeing/cultural activities. Benidorm is within easy travelling distance (just follow the N332)...

I would recommend hiring a car to get about - you will appreciate more of the area. But if you really want a lazy relaxed poolside holiday then this villa will also deliver just that!

I would certainly hire the villa again!

Great holiday at a lovely townhouse

We stayed in this townhouse from April, 30th till May, 9th. We did enjoy that holiday lot. The house itself is bright, clean, well-equipped and spacious. Beaches were real nice, the weather was sunny. The sea was a bit cold at that time - that was the only disadvantage, everything else was superb. Especially fresh fish at local market. We'll go back again, for sure.

A great spacious house ideal for families with children of all ages. The dish washer and washing machine are ideal, no huge washing basket when you get home! The kitchen is great if you feel like eatin in or even have a bbq. Air con fantasic particularly in the night. New supermarket just opened right across the road which is really convenient and has most things that you will need. There is also a train/bus that takes you all around Gran Alacant for just 1 Euro which is a unique experience and convienent as it runs until midnight. in my opinion the perfect holiday climate with some lovely sea views on the drive into alicante.

Great villa, ideal for a larger family. Air con great during the night. Great pool, Tennis and football courts for the kids. Very safe. Nice bars and restaurants nearby. Everyone very friendly. Owners great to deal with. Good beach on five minutes by car. Alicante close by. Santa Pola is also very nice.

Large TV downstairs also good to get out of the sun now and then or let the kids play on the PS2.

Great stay!

The house was great, very spacious and clean. Dishwasher and washing machine were great, a real holiday experience!. A car is definitely recommended otherwise you have to walk 45 minutes to shop for fresh groceries… When by car we recommend the Carrefour (also great on a rainy day) instead of Mercadona.
The pool was closeby and clean, separate pool for kids.
Culturewise the city of Elche is great, if you want to go shopping go for Alicante.

We would certainly recommend this to friends/other people!
