Perfect location; we will recommend your apartment

The location was perfect for us as it was approx. 20 minutes walk to the harbour, restaurants and mosaics, 20 mins to the Tomb of the Kings, and 20 mins to the old town, so we could walk to everywhere we wanted to go in a short time. And as the roads were lit at night we could walk into town and back at night safely.
The selection of restaurants and bars nearby was excellent, and quite a few had a 3 course meal for £8 or £9 each. A lot of the bars had offers on as well. We tried Sisyfos for the 3 course meal which was good and most restaurants now cater well for vegetarians (Kevin is one but not me!). We also went to Phuket, very nice meal, good service and not that expensive (although it looks as though it may be!). We booked a table as it was always busy when we went past. The wine started at £9 each which was more than other places but the food was not expensive.
We also went to Don Pesos for a change and both agreed that the chilli (veggie and non!) was excellent, the staff were friendly and let us wear their sombreros and we had a free tequila slammer! The table next to us also agreed that it was the best mexican they had had in a long time, so it is recommended.
We didn't bother hiring a car but decided to book a few trips. We had heard about the jeep trips into the Troodos mountains so decided to go by coach as I don't particularly like heights and have a bad back!! It was a good choice as our guide was very funny and the driver was not a usual loony who drives at break neck speed! We stopped off at Platres and then up to Kykkos monastery for lunch and then another monastery on the way back. The mountains were very peaceful and cooler than the resorts. We used Socrates Travel and would recommend them to anyone.
We also decided to try a jeep safari up to the Akamas (not too many heights and just a bit bumpy but if you sit in the front of the jeep or the back facing forward then it is not too bad, if you sit in the back then it is bad!). We had an excellent driver called Paul (Georges jeeps) who had lived on the island for 15 years and knew everything about everything. He told us about all the plants and stopped to get us samples of pecans, pomegranets, carobs, walnuts etc etc. We went to Lara Bay (where the turtles are, or were as they had all gone off by then!), a canyon (can't remember name) then to Lattchi for lunch. Afterwards to Aphrodites baths and then back via a few villages on the way back. He knew all the back roads where there was nobody else and we met hardly any other jeeps.
Both trips were booked by an agent near Fat Mammas.
All in all a very enjoyable holiday, lots to see and do. We don't really sunbathe but like to walk round and see things so Paphos was a good place for us and lots of history etc.
Many thanks and best wishes. Will recommend your apartment to anyone we know who wants to go to Paphos.
