Second visit to this fantastic property

Review Submitted: October 29, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We stayed here last October and as it was so good we came back this year. We paid the extra for the pool to be heated which was fantastic for my 2 year old and for us in the evening, nothing like a night time swim as the pool and decking is all lit up. Cant recomend this property enough, its has every thing you could possibly require and more.

Mar Menor villa review - 3 bed with heated pool

GJG Glasgow, UK
Review Submitted: October 21, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We had a lovely time staying in this villa. It is well situated, next to the driving range, and close to the hotel and golf facilities. The heated pool was superb and would recommend in the non-summer months. The villa itself was well presented with modern furniture and had adequate space for 2 adults and 3 children.

3 bed luxury villa on Mar Menor Golf Resort

2 adults and two teenagers just arrived back from this lovely villa in the Mar Menor Golf Resort. The villa was lovely and spacious and the decked pool area was a great added benefit. My 17 year old son could not believe his luck when he discovered that the gate at the back of the villa was within direct walking distance of the golf driving range. The couple who looked after the house were absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them. We ate out every night and found a different restaurant every evening within an easy drive of the resort. Would definitely return for another holiday to this lovely house and would highly recommend it.

Great Holiday and Ideal Villa

Review Submitted: July 15, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
This was our second trip to the Mar Menor resort and this villa was far superior to last year's. The villa has everything you need and with 2 children the large pool was a big hit - as was the water cooler for instant chilled water. The superior patio furniture and sunbeds made a sunshine holiday ideal. The big plus too is the great airconditioning in every room. The location of the villa is perfect whether a golfer or not - just behind the range but easy walk to main facilities and supermarket.

Mal Menor Golf Resort

Review Submitted: July 14, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Six adults and a little baby girl choose this luxury villa to stay in during July 2009. We had a fantastic time, the outdoor pool is great and the villa is probably one of the best located in the Mar menor resort.
Although a little quiet in July 09 the resort is expanding to feature a 18 hole golf course af good standard and the overall complex has everything you need.
The villa is well sized with everything you need. The outside terrace offers a generous table area where we found ourselves in the shade there during the midday heat and eating and drinking there in the evenings.
The property is well maintained with good modern facilities and the beauty is that there is 24hr customer service as the couple maintaining the property live on the complex!
La Manga is a short drive away and there is lots of golf to play in the area!
Plenty of restaurants are available and only a short drive away!

A perfect break!

What a wonderful place to escape for a girls weekend. Just a short drive from the airport we were at the villa by the pool, drinking wine by lunchtime! Lots of good bars and restaurants within walking distance, and a supermarket on-site, everything we needed was available without any effort required! The villa was really well equipped, I can't think of anything we didn't have. I would strongly recommend this to anyone who wants to get away from it all, whether it is for a weekend or a fortnight.

Bank Holiday Weekend - May 2009

Maxxe London
Review Submitted: May 7, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
The villa is contained within a gated resort, which instantly provided us - a group of 6 girls and a child, with that sense of security. It is quite surprising that within this resort there is a large hotel and an array of beautiful coloured villas. There is almost a suburbia feel about it all, like a community/town within the resort.

There are roads which are clearly signposted and each villa is numbered clearly. The villa was a real home away from home, with added extras. When you walked through the front door, you entered the living room area which look nice and spaceous. You are automatically drawn to the patio doors, which leads onto what you can only describe as a chic conservatory. There were no walls, but panels of glass - which we were advised opened up all the way - and this lead onto the decking and the pool area. The decking area had 4 sun loungers and we even spotted the barbecue in the corner!

Surprisingly enough, the pool was exceptionally cool - not too warm, yet not freezing. The villa backs onto the Golfing Range - which is very pleasant as there was no need to feel imposed upon or imposing to.

The Kitchen and Living Room area were more than satisfactory. The facilities contained therein are more than sufficient. It was quite pleasing to know that British TV is available - you can catch up on on your TV programmes!

The bedrooms upstairs were very nice. The decor is very neutral and quite relaxing. Each bedroom was very clean and kept to a good standard. It was a very nice touch to have clean towels on the bed when you arrived. Each room has remote controlled air conditioning to suit your every need, which can be useful, depending upon your preference.

The bathrooms were more than adequate. The en-suite has a bath tub and the other 2 bathrooms each had a shower, sink and toilet. 1 of the bathrooms is located on the ground floor, which is really handy.

The hidden gem would be the Roof Terrace which is perfect for a quiet/peaceful lounge in the sun. It is also nice area to chill out and maybe watch the stars.

The villa as a whole is very pleasant and I would recommend families, friends and people with young children to stay here. It has everything you could ask for, if not more. Davina - who looks after the villa - was very helpful and she provided us with lots of information concerning opening times of the supermarket, facilities etc.

Fantastic Heated Pool!!

Review Submitted: April 17, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
Just got back from 11 days at the villa in Mar Menor. We had a great time and found everything in the villa to be as discribed and very comfortable. It is well located overlooking the driving range and within easy walking distance of the resort facilities, shops, bars etc.

I would highly recommend the option of having the pool heated. It was about 'hot tub' temperature. All of us (2 adults, 2 kids) used the pool much more than we had done on previous holidays. Well worth the small charge for the facility.

Fantastic villa which had everything you could possibly need and more. It’s in a perfect location being behind the driving range and putting green meant no need to worry about stray balls! Very close to complex amenities and we enjoyed eating in a couple of the restaurants. Sun all day on both upper and lower terraces and we were able to block the pool off with the sun beds so our toddler could roam freely and safely, the decked surface meant there was no grazed knees! Glass curtain is a fantastic feature, very pleasant sitting out in the evening with the pool and decking lit up. Car hire is a must if you want to explore the lovely nearby beaches and resorts, all within easy reach and perfect road conditions. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return, cant recommend it enough.

Thank you.

Fantastic week in the sun

The villa exceeded our expectations, great location, beautiful villa and pool. Really loved the 'window' curtain which gave a lovely al fresco feeling even when it was a bit chilly in the early hours!
The weather was perfect and we were very glad that the villa had such good air con as well as fans.
The food at all restaurants on the complex was very good and I would highly recommend a trip to the Spa at the Inter Contiental.
There is lots of exploring to be done along the Spanish coast so I would recommend a car for the duration of your stay.
