Casa Jonali

Review Submitted: October 11, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
The villa is in a perfect location - secluded yet within 10 minutes drive of good restaurants and great beaches. It is beautifully decorated and has all that you would need. We found Gina delightful and unobtrusive in her daily visits. The pool area has sun all afternoon and for those who wish to fry themselves there is always the roof terrace.

We and our 80 year old mums loved the place so much that we have booked again for 2010.

This was our 5th visit to Casa Jonali and again we were not disappointed. As always the property was immaculately clean, thanks to the lovely Gina, and the new decor was fresh and tasteful. The owner was helpful, as always, and managed to arrange travel cots and high chairs for the children in our party. We're looking forward to planning our next visit already!

CASA JONALI

Review Submitted: August 19, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
Our only disappointment with this excellent villa, was learning that it is already booked up for the period that we wanted for next year!

As with previous reviews, we would agree that the location is superb for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Somehow the owners have managed to find an extremely secluded plot, but at the same time within very easy driving distance to all the major amenities, and several quality restaurants and beaches. They have even taken the trouble to provide a drawer full of tourist information and recommendations for restaurants from them and previous guests, all of which proved to be reliable and very useful. In addition, we also found the owners most helpful during the booking process, all adding to the stress free holiday.

The location of Vale de Parra is superb for touring the Algarve, being that it is almost exactly half way along the coast. Also the modern and large Algarve Shopping centre is within 10 minutes drive.

With regard to the comments about the maid Gina, she truly is lovely and keeps the place immaculate. We did not find her intrusive, but we did spend a lot of time touring around. The villa itself is spacious and the pictures do not do it justice. The pool has a shallow end, which we found useful for playing water volleyball with our 8 year old son.

This was our first visit to Portugal and we absolutely loved it. The locals are very friendly and fortunately speak very good English!

All in all, a perfect holiday and all that remains for us now is to find a slot in next years schedule for us to return!!

I could pretend that this villa was awful so it doesn't get booked up but in terms of quality accommodation it is the best villa we have ever stayed in. The only reason we are not rebooking for next year is because the idyllically quiet location doesn’t suit our teenagers who prefer bars etc. We will be back by ourselves in the future!

Please don’t be put off by the previous review. Gina (the maid) is fantastic. She keeps the villa immaculately and is really smiley and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for her and she is never intrusive. We really missed her at the weekends. You may want to bring her home with you! The agents and owner were also extremely helpful.

The area nearby is lovely with beautiful beaches and a wide choice of restaurants. We even got Cliff Richard to sign a bottle of his local wine for us! If you want a quiet holiday within easy reach of local attractions and beaches in a beautiful villa, then this is the property for you but please don’t book all at once, give us a chance!

Review of Casa Junali

buddy76 southeast england
Review Submitted: July 22, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
Casa Junali is a beautiful villa with great facilities. It is located perfectly for a number of attractions including Zoomarine and Aqualand and also some fantastic beaches. It is in quiet surroundings and near to local shops, but I would say a car is essential as the villa is off of a fairly long and winding dirt track. It has a good sized pool, and plenty of seating areas. Inside is modern and fresh with a well equipped kitchen and utility room which we found very useful. The only downside to Casa Junali that we found, was that for 10 mornings (from 10am til 1pm) the housekeeper occupied the villa to do housework, which we felt wasn't essential and gave us a certain lack of privacy and movement etc. One or twice a week would have been adequate, it was an intrusion on the holiday.

Owner's Response: The problem buddy76 had could have easily been resolved if she contacted the villa manager during her stay. Both numbers mobile, and landline are in the villa by the phone. We appreciate buddy76's comment.

Casa Jonali

Review Submitted: March 11, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2007
This is one of our favourite holiday destinations. We have been staying at Casa Jonali now for around five years and we love it, sometimes we stay twice a year which is a real treat.

The villa is always spotlessly clean (don't you just love Gina), the views are gorgeous and the pool is definitely a favourite with the children.

Becuase of the peacefulness of the area we always enjoy a relaxing holiday with the confidence of privacy and little disturbance. Having said that, you are never more than a short car ride away from all the amenities and beaches and there are shops and a few restaurants close by.

I have stayed at Casa Jonali several times for my holiday. The villa is located at the end of a private road, it is private but near to many lovely beaches. The villa has a very inviting pool and lovely views. From the top terrace, there are lovely views to the coast and mountains. There are plenty of restaurants so many a different ones every night you can try a different one. The maid keeps the villa very clean. The furniture is modern, with sky TV and DVD player.
NOTE: If you want to go to this villa you have got to book early.

Bliss!

Review Submitted: February 25, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2007
I have visited Casa Jonali on 4 separate occasions and am a little sceptical on really saying how good it is as I will never get booked in again!!
Seriously it is a getaway from it all heaven. We have three children from teen to tot and somehow this holiday ticks all our boxes.
The villa is spotless. I am a bathroom snob (my family inform me) and one dirty mark puts me off. The cleanliness is one of the reasons I keep going back. I have been to many villas, some at ludicrous prices, but none compare to Casa Jonali.
A car is essential as there is little in walking distance but that suits us fine because there is no discos and drunken bums to bother us either. The only noise you may here is a donkey or a dog in the fields surrounding the villa. Within five minutes drive are great restaurants lovely bars and brilliant beaches.
Ten minutes and you have zoomarine (swim with dolphins for a price) and aqualand. Teenage thrills and baby splash pools abound.
The villa has a great BBQ area. The kids love the pool. My Husband loves the views towards the sea and the lighthouse in the distance.
I love Gina the maid. None of this superficial cleaning and maids muttering under their breath. She hugs the kids, she tells us of her family, she laughs at us crashing the hire car! She is as much a part of the holiday as the villa itself.
A family of 6 is easily accommodated and everything is there you could need including a washing machine.
Mrs Rhind the owner is very helpful with information about the surrounding areas. There is local help should you need it but we never have.
As the title says Pure Bliss!

we have had five holidays at casa jonali and each time throughly enjoyed it as the villa is in a great location for a

beautiful beaches and excellent restaurants also convenient for a visit into albuferia
the accomodation is very claen and modern and has everything neccessary for your stay at the villa
there is a lovely pool for a swim and sunloungers to relax on the patio we would recommend this villa as a first class accomodation in a great location
