Reviews of Property: Holiday Apartment in Valencia City - central location

I would highly recommend staying in this apartment if you ever visit the beautiful city of Valencia. It is ideally situated in a quiet area but with only a short walk to the train station and the centre of Valencia with it's magnificant buildings, great bars and restaurants, or go the other way and you will find yourself at the amazing Art's & Science Museum, L'Oceanografic etc. (a visit here is a must!). The apartment itself was larger than we expected and spotlessly clean with everything we needed. It is decorated beautifully and we all felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. Marie and Chris had gone to great lengths to ensure our stay was enjoyable and had left a folder with maps, details of places to see, restaurants, activities etc which we found very useful. There are also quite a few supermarkets very close by so it was easy to keep the fridge well stocked. There were only 3 of us but the apartment would accommodate 6 easily. The whole city of Valencia is very clean and the people very friendly. I would recommend Plaza de la Reina for great tapas and pastries, Plaza de la Virgin for ice cream and Calle Cabelleros for cocktails! We will all be recommending this apartment (and city!) to all our friends and colleagues and we all agreed that it was the best apartment we have ever stayed in and we've stayed in quite a few all over europe.

We stayed in the apartment in October 2009 for 6 nights. Had wonderful time in Valencia, partly due to the apartment too. It was very handy for everything we did - city centre, amazing Science park, great Turia river park, beach.
The apartment was just as described and had everything we needed. Having two small children and a pushchair it was great that it was on the ground floor as we could get straight in from the street. We stayed in in the evenings and had all we needed in the kitchen to cook a meal. The whole apartment was clean and well looked after.
Marie and Chris were extremely helpful, both on emails beforehand and whilst there. Was great they provided a travel cot for our baby too.
Valencia is a great city. It certainly exceeded our expectations. Do walk along the park in the former river bed and visit the architecturally amazing Science Park. And of course, enjoy the street life, cafes, bakeries, markets and the full of life people.
We're already planning our next visit and would love to stay in the same place again.

The property is about 15 minutes walk from the city centre. There is a regular bus service (Route 7) from the square next to the flat as an alternative.

The flat had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in Valencia. The absence of a TV was in my mind a plus feature as we were trying to chill out. We made most of our evening meals in the flat using produce we bought in the local supermarkets. If you don't want to cook there are many restaurants within easy walking distance.

We would certainly stay here again when we come out to visit our son who has recently moved to Valencia and would recommend it to our friends.

We arrived at the apartment to a very warm welcome, with lots of support, maps and friendly advice about where to go in Valencia, which was very useful.
The apartment was as described, clean and well appointed.
We enjoyed a number of good restaurants but would highly recommend La Pitanza, Quart 5 in the El Carmen district which served spectacular food and the service was outstanding.
Overall a really nice apartment and a really enjoyable week in Valencia!

We had a lovely week in the apartment! The apartment was clean and everything was in excellent condition. The living area is spacious and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed!
The location of the apartment is great as well as it's only a short walk from the city centre but in a quieter area. It also has easy access to the beach which is only a short bus ride away!
In the city centre there's plenty to see and do; museums, monuments etc. we mostly just walked round the city but hired bikes for a couple of hours which was a fun way to see the sights! Other attractions such as the bio-parc and aquarium are again, a short bus ride away from the apartment but the bus stop is very close and both are well worth the trip!
We had a couple of evening meals in the city centre and by the beach. There's a wide variety of choice in both locations so something for everyone! There is also a well-stocked supermarket very close to the apartment which was great for the nights we stayed in!
Chris and Marie left plenty of useful information in the apartment about the area and were very welcoming when they met us at the apartment upon our arrival (even though it was late in the evening!) They also answered any questions we had before the stay/booking.
All in all we had a great holiday and would highly recommend the apartment! We hope to return soon!

I stayed in this apartment with a couple of friends for a long weekend and it was perfect for us. With the price split between us it worked out much cheaper than even the cheapest hotel and not much more than a hostel, plus you've got the option to stay in and cook so it's great for a budget break. The location's perfect to see the best of Valencia with the old centre and science park both within walking distance, and the beach just a short busride away. The property was well-maintained and well laid-out and there was also lots of info provided about what to see and do in Valencia and how to get around. Bill, who met us with the keys, was also very friendly and helpful as were the owners in our email correspondence, especially considering it was a very last-minute booking on our part. Overall, a great stay!

We had a great time in Valencia- what a brilliant city. The flat was perfectly located on a quiet street yet near enough to everything. I liked the way it was handy for both the Art & Science Museum, and the old town areas.

The owners are very flexible and really care. They answered my specific queries, and seemed to take time to help. Their personalized guidebook was certainly useful. It's definitely a bargain for what we paid, it's self catering so we took care of it and they were quick to pay our deposit back. We'll be back next year!
