Review Submitted: August 18, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We have just come back from our 2 weeks at this villa and felt the need to write a review to say how wonderful it was. The photos don't do it justice. We went just after the recent forest fires but everything had been kept clean and welcoming for us. The owners were very helpful and the management company were attentive.
We were a group of 4 adults and 4 children and we felt as though we had lots of room to do our own thing. The pool was great for everyone and the large veranda was perfect for keeping out of the midday sun but still enjoying the fresh air.
There was loads for both adults and children to enjoy near by too, from water sports to theme parks or just chilling out for lunch in a beach restaurant.
Enjoy!

Very nice villa with fantastic view

Review Submitted: July 17, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We have just come back to Denmark after 12 days in this villa.
The villa itself, fully delivers what is promised in the description and everything is in order equipment-wise.
The pool area and the the terrasses are spectacular with exceptional view.
The owners aswell as the Real Estate company are extremely friendly and provided very good service.
The area is typical southern coastal Spain with fabulous beaches and an extensive bar-and restaurant life.
Defenitely a villa we would consider visiting again.

My family rented this villa for a week and were delighted with the house and the amazing surroundings. The accommodation was elegant yet homely with plenty of quiet corners and comfortable seating much appreciated by both grandparents and teenagers. We were there to attend a wedding and had wonderful family reunions at the nearby restaurants. We also enjoyed the hill top village Mojacar Pueblo with its wonderful views and the miles of safe and clean beaches. We did have to contact the agent once during our stay and our quiery was dealt with promptly. We were very sad to leave at the end of a perfect week and would love to return sometime soon.

Meridian is a lovely villa to stay in very spacious and decorated and furnished to a very high standard! The views are spectular and having a pool of it's own is fantastic. It is very spacious and no matter what time of day you can always catch the sun. The Facilities are fantastic and the local bars and restaurants are great but it's great to retreat back to Meridian in it's quiet location. The owners are very friendly and very happy to help. We found it very relaxing and will definately be coming back for yet another relaxing holiday. Highly recommended

Myself and 6 friends have recently returned from this villa. It was everthing we expected. Lovely, comfortable and spacious accommodation. The views are spectacular and everthing was perfect. The local restaurant meant that in our short stay we did not have to stray far. I would reccommend to any one this property for a relaxing pleasurable stay.

Our family stayed at Casa Meridian in January 2008 and had a fantastic two week holiday. Sharing the villa with another young family we found it was comfortable, clean and well equipped for all our needs. The views and peacefullness are exceptional day and night. We will hopefully be visiting Casa Meridian again next January and would recommend it to anybody. As for the sunrise it is amazing and considering Mojacar playa is an east facing coast line what do you expect! Lastly we found the owners of this villa extremely friendly and helpful.

AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE

Review Submitted: April 21, 2008 Date of Stay: February 2008
I have just gone to the website to book this property for the third time and was astonished to read such a negative review posted by a recent guest. Have they got the right property.?
On our previous 2 visits ( last in Feb 2008) we have found the villa to be of an excellent standard.
Not only is it well equipped, spacious and well situated the interior has been finished to a very high standard throughout.
The kitchen is large and well equipped and the bathrooms and bedrooms are excellent. The living area is large and tastefully finished.
We will be returning for our September fortnight.

We stayed a month at this villa in early spring 2008. The views around the property are excellent and there are good walks from the property. However the expected sunset from the terrace turned out to be a sunrise.

On arrival. The villa was dirty with clothes, shoes, toys, and other items scattered around the property.

Kitchen/Utility. The location of the kitchen is down two steps off the sitting/dining area and inconvenient for access to the dining table and to the terrace. Some of the crockery/glassware was chipped/cracked. As there is no dishwasher, washing up was difficult with a small draining board. The cooker had to be repaired 3 times and the lighting was faulty. The utility was dank and dirty, with broken appliances, e.g. fridge, washing machine, iron, etc.

The lounge/dining room. Throws on the sofas covered stains. It was stated that the dining table seated 8 but there are only 6 chairs and insufficient crockery/glassware and cutlery even for 6. We had the table lamps moved as their cables crossed a walkway and were covered with a loose rug.

Master Bedroom. The shower had no door and we trod on glass on the bathroom floor. The centre of the bed was supported with bricks. The mattress was badly stained. The wardrobes were simple - fabric hanging shelves.

The outside of the property. Shutters did not close. Some furniture was old and broken. Some cushions and sunbed mattresses were dirty and mouldy.

The property manager was usually available to organise repairs and help, which was much needed.

Owner's Response: When the renters arrived, the electricity was off in the area of the villa. They were accommodated in the Hotel Puntazo at our expense whilst the problem was immediately dealt with. They didnt like the hotel(see their website) and this coupled with poor weather seems to have set them off on a bad footing.
The cleaners were called back immediately but apart from dust underneath the TV and some lampshades, were asked to do no more by the renters. The toys are in a box in a spare room cupboard for renters use together with a small carrier of flip-flops and slippers for use. This is where they were and were removed upon request.
There is ample crockery for more than 8 and is replaced when damaged. There are rarely dishwashers in Southern Spain as water is at a premium. The draining board is the same size as in any kitchen. There was a problem with the hob which was responded to immediately in all instances and put right together with the blinking bulb. The utility is very large and contains a large fridge/freezer, washer, dryer and Iron/board all of which work.
I refute totally that the throws cover stains. The cream throws are there to protect white sofas from dirty feet and, god-forbid, suntan lotion and are laundered between each visit. The dining table had 6 chairs but since there were only 2 people,I did not have the other 2 brought in. The table lamps mentioned can be seen behind the sofa inthe photos. The cable, for the meter length to the wall, was properly taped down for safety and a rug over it for aesthetic purposes.
The master shower room is a wet-room type shower and doesn't require a door. The bed had been broken by a previous renter and was propped securely until a joiner could come which has since happened. The master bedroom has a 3 door wardrobe with cupboards above and 2 bedside tables with 3 drawers each.
The shutters are fully functioning but not needed as the house is extremely secure with traditional wrought iron grilles at windows and concertina grilles at doors. In February the nights are damp and cushions left out feel damp but airing sorts them. The renters were not prepared to use towels on loungers and new cushions were bought for them which is a shame as the originals were handmade and far thicker than bought ones. There are new loungers for 8 round the pool.
Finally, I would say this villa is for people who want a relaxing, private , peaceful holiday with lots of activities nearby and I really would recommend a car.
