Our Most Relaxing Holiday Ever!

Kylie Amber London
Review Submitted: June 25, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
Upon arrival we were not disappointed with the beautiful views and the lovely villa. Our pool was wonderful and Jimmy did a fantastic job keeping in tip top condition throughout our vacation. The beach was lovely, 200 odd steps down though, so that was sufficient exercise for our holiday.

The village of Agios Nikitas is a 20 minute walk or a 2 minute drive away and we were able to find all we needed to cook some lovely meals every day, though there were loads of tavernas and a couple of bars for the odd night off.

Giddy and Tasos were super helpful with our accommodation and with directions around the island and how to continue our holiday from Athens...

My party and I would strongly recommend the Milos Villas to anyone who wants to spend time relaxing.

Thank you for a great holiday! Kylie.

Milos Bay Villas is a property of 4 stone houses (a 5th is under construction) on a steep, west bounded cliff on Lefkas island. The property is approx. 200m away from any other building. You can reach the beach on steep stairs (not suitable for elderly and disable). Furnishing of the houses is functional and simple suiting, in our oppinion, very well to a laid back holliday at the sea. Cleaning is ok, very kind and continuos custumer service is provided by a very nice and assitant am and pm. Air conditioning, needed on days there is no wind, is well working. The 4 houses are pretty close one to the other but privacy is provided. Every house has a refreshing pool which is cleaned every day and a huge, stone terrace with a table and many sun-chairs.
To bring our middle-size dog was no problem at all. Children above 5 years are easy to look after.
Evenings on the terrace watching the sunset and listening to the sea are indiscribable....

Everything was perfect at this excellent villa

Lefkas island is maybe the most beautiful Greek island, believe me
I have visited most of them.It has the most beautiful and secluded beaches in whole Greece,a lot of them voted as the best in whole Mediteranean
From the villas the view, especially the sunsets are breathtaking
Below the villas is the most beautifull beach of Lefkas island and maybe the most beautifull in whole Greece, you can walk there alone in the evening, and its 1 km long!!!
Villas are brand new and builted with the traditional Lefkadian style, stone walls and wooden windows.Old traditional style furnitures. On the other hand are very well equiped with everything. There is also a private parking area ,very comfortable for crowded Lefkas island in summer
The owner and the staff, yes there is staff .even thought its a self accomodated villa, were very helpfull. The owner was everyday there helping us with information for the island, for best restaurants and places to visit. We feeled like home
We had everyday new sheets and towels and the pools and jacuzi were cleaned every day.The pool was just two meters away from our bedroom. The en-suite bathroom helped us very much.We enjoyed our dinner in front of the sunset every evening
Agios Nikitas village is 1 min drive away.Very nice small village with mini markets ,cafes, restaurants, tavernas
We were there every evening to enjoy our dinner, fish from local fishing boats
I reccomend this place to everyone, especially to families with children. They will enjoy every minute of their holidays
We are planing to visit this great place again next summer

Excellent vacation spot

Lefkada is a small island that has a little of everything. Including mind-boggling incline curves (about 5-6 of them per kilometer of road). The same could be said about this villa. You need a car - period. There's a 38-40 degrees incline in the small road that takes you to the villa, then you park (shaded parking space which in Greece is a BIG plus) then you go down some 40-50 steps and reach the villa. If it seems like a lot of effort - well it's all worth it. The views are really stunning - as advertised or better. The owner was very helpful, the hired help really helped (including carrying our bags up the stairs when we left), the pool was serviced daily, the rooms were clean, the sheets white and crisp. Personally, I went down to the beach only once (demonstratively as my friends said). It's really a long way down (11 stories or better). If you're not on the portly side you could do it daily I suppose. But the pool more than made up for it. And the view.... did I mention the view? Sundown made for about 2000 pictures while I was there. Although the villa is part of a small complex (4 buildings in all) the space alloted each is generous and your privacy is protected. The pools are on opposing sides of the buildings so if you fancy a naked dip you've nothing to fear from neighbors. On the somewhat negative side: the villa advertises 3 bedrooms and a common area. It's somewhat true - and somewhat false. There are 2 bedrooms (one of them has an en-suite) but the 3rd room and the common area are one and the same. as you enter the villa there is indeed a common area and a staircase that takes you to the attic where there are 2 beds. There's no physical separation between the 2 areas so the people sleeping upstairs can hear (and be disturbed) by anything that happens in the common area (which includes the kitchen and the door to the second bathroom). I think a family with kids (over 12) would be ok - you could put the kids upstairs. We were 3 couples and we found the situation a bit awkward at first. We got over it fast (at least I did since I was in the room with the en-suite bathroom that had a separate door leading towards the pool). All in all it was a positive experience and a great place to spend a week. I would recommend it to anyone. The ideal situation though would be a group of 4 not of 6 as we were. There's a place in the village that serves great fresh huge shrimp. You can't miss it. It's the one with 30 blue fans churning the air above you.
Owner's Response: Thanks" redbeard"" for your 5/5 rating review
Just a clarification
When, and if,i am informed that ""6adults""on the requested form means 3 couples,i try to explain to the customers that THIS villa will be not so comfortable for them. Some insist to rent because it has a very cheap price if the cost is divided into three parts
But ,on the other hand,in this property,THERE IS,villa with three saperate rooms, very comfortable for three couples.A little more expensive ,but there is
Its customers decision to choose beetwen them

Romantic Hideaway By The Sea

Review Submitted: October 17, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at this very special place. The beauty of the sunsets and the ocean was unlike anything we had ever seen. Milos Bay Villas are very private and are perfect for families and those who just love the out of doors. There is a path that takes you to a private beach where you can play in the surf. Or you just float in your own private pool or lounge in your jacuzzi. The villas are simple but elegant and Tasos and his staff Giddy and Jimmy took very good care of us during our stay. Milos Bay has some nice little places to eat and you can rent a 4 wheeler if you want to see the island we did and it was a blast! There is also a windsurfing academy on this island. So go have fun on Lefkadas even drive off the island and see some of the other places in Greece like Olympia and then go back to your wonderful private villa at Milos Bay you will not be disappointed. The peacefulness of this place will remain in your hearts forever I promise you.

The description is exact : the villa is in front of the sea, with magnificent sunsets, above a wild and large beach, with a blue turquoise water ... The view is exceptional !
The swimming pool is large, not with sea water but normal one, our children spent hours in it !
Very large terrace for playing, for dining, beautiful house with local style, air conditioning, quietness ... with the sound of the seashore.
Very good costumer service, with charming people for cleaning house and swimming pool.
The location of the villa is perfect : near Agios Nikitas village (charming), near others beaches (wild or with animation), the most beautiful part of the island.

Traumurlaub

Review Submitted: July 9, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
