Lefkada is a small island that has a little of everything. Including mind-boggling incline curves (about 5-6 of them per kilometer of road). The same could be said about this villa. You need a car - period. There's a 38-40 degrees incline in the small road that takes you to the villa, then you park (shaded parking space which in Greece is a BIG plus) then you go down some 40-50 steps and reach the villa. If it seems like a lot of effort - well it's all worth it. The views are really stunning - as advertised or better. The owner was very helpful, the hired help really helped (including carrying our bags up the stairs when we left), the pool was serviced daily, the rooms were clean, the sheets white and crisp. Personally, I went down to the beach only once (demonstratively as my friends said). It's really a long way down (11 stories or better). If you're not on the portly side you could do it daily I suppose. But the pool more than made up for it. And the view.... did I mention the view? Sundown made for about 2000 pictures while I was there. Although the villa is part of a small complex (4 buildings in all) the space alloted each is generous and your privacy is protected. The pools are on opposing sides of the buildings so if you fancy a naked dip you've nothing to fear from neighbors. On the somewhat negative side: the villa advertises 3 bedrooms and a common area. It's somewhat true - and somewhat false. There are 2 bedrooms (one of them has an en-suite) but the 3rd room and the common area are one and the same. as you enter the villa there is indeed a common area and a staircase that takes you to the attic where there are 2 beds. There's no physical separation between the 2 areas so the people sleeping upstairs can hear (and be disturbed) by anything that happens in the common area (which includes the kitchen and the door to the second bathroom). I think a family with kids (over 12) would be ok - you could put the kids upstairs. We were 3 couples and we found the situation a bit awkward at first. We got over it fast (at least I did since I was in the room with the en-suite bathroom that had a separate door leading towards the pool). All in all it was a positive experience and a great place to spend a week. I would recommend it to anyone. The ideal situation though would be a group of 4 not of 6 as we were. There's a place in the village that serves great fresh huge shrimp. You can't miss it. It's the one with 30 blue fans churning the air above you.
Owner's Response: Thanks" redbeard"" for your 5/5 rating review
Just a clarification
When, and if,i am informed that ""6adults""on the requested form means 3 couples,i try to explain to the customers that THIS villa will be not so comfortable for them. Some insist to rent because it has a very cheap price if the cost is divided into three parts
But ,on the other hand,in this property,THERE IS,villa with three saperate rooms, very comfortable for three couples.A little more expensive ,but there is
Its customers decision to choose beetwen them
