Casa Helena - Our Stay in July 2009

Wiltshire Gang Swindon
Review Submitted: August 9, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We had a lovely two week stay at Casa Helena. A beautiful 3 bed bungalow villa with great pool & well cared for gardens. A real home from home, spotlessly clean & tidy inside.
Thank you Desna for your help and kindness throughout our stay.
Fantastic weather, most days were between 35 & 40 celcius so the pool was a must & couldnt get my 3 kids out of it when we didnt spend days at beach. Beach is about 10 min walk depending on what part you want to go (its about 5 miles long!) Enjoyed hiring pedellows (15 euros per hour). Hidropark is only 5 min walk away,a bit pricey at 58 euros for 2 adults,3 kids but spent good 5 hours there & good fun. We didnt need to hire a car, everything in walking distance but,for eating out, we found best restaurants were near the marina (recommend the 'Bistro Mar') which is a good 25 min walk so it helps to be reasonably fit !!
Overral, great holiday & would certainly recommend 'Casa Helena' to everyone and we would like to return in the future.

We had a wonderfully relaxed two week holiday in Casa Helena - a very beautiful and secluded property in the popular resort of Alcudia within walking distance of most facilities. The house had everything we needed with great internal space, fixtures, and fittings and a very beautiful garden, pool, breakfast terrace and separate outside dining and lounge area. Inside, the house has 1 double and 2 twin bedrooms, a modern kitchen, two bathrooms, lounge, dining area and satelite TV to ensure we felt at home from day one. Everything you need is here whether catering at home or dining out.
The 8m pool is a delight and surrounded by a beautifully cared for walled garden - a truly secluded sunshine experience.
Desna will welcome you with open arms and ensure you are well looked after in a friendly, clean and fresh environment. We hope we get the chance to return someday soon.

Didn't want to leave!

We stayed at Casa Helena for a week and had a wonderful time. The villa is really well situated close to everything but secluded enough to not have to see anyone at all! everything we needed was in the hotel including English Tv so we didn't miss the last episode of the Apprentice!
Thanks to Desna for being so helpful even when being pestered about mosquitos.
We had a couple of lovely lunches in Puerto Alcudia which is a 15-20 minute walk away in a restaurant called Bon Aires. The owner was a bit mad but treated us like royalty.
Can't wait to come back next year.

CASA HELENA

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa Helena for 3 weeks. The villa was excellent, very clean, spacious and well maintained. It is very well equipped with a fully fitted kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine and really felt like a home from home only with great weather! The pool is superb, a definite plus of the property, set in a large patio area just outside the main bedroom where you quickly begin to unwind in the splendid surroundings. The outside eating area is superb for relaxing over an evening meal with a glass of wine ot two! The villa is very well situated and is only a ten minute walk to the bars, restaurants and beach so a car really isn’t necessary. Recommended places for good food and entertainment are the Jolly Roger, Lunas Grill and the Tivoli Terrace. If you needed any information or help the friendly owner was only a phone call away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so much so we booked up for next year before we left! We would definitely recommend this villa to everyone.

Casa Helena in July 08

We visited Casa Helena at the beginning of July 08 and were greeted with a very warm welcome from the owner. The villa itself has all you need for a relaxed away from it all holiday yet as quiet as it is it's close enough to all the local attractions. The villa is very clean and cosy but to be honest at this time of the year you spend all of your time by the much needed pool and at the hottest time of the day you can have a snooze on your sun bed under one of the two shaded areas. A very convenient mini market is located just across the road and its not far to the local Spar or supermarket should you want to stock up the cupboards. If eating out is your thing we would recommend the Jolly Rodger and if you are looking for something romantic take a taxi to La Victoria up on the hillside and watch the sunset over Puerta Pollensa absolutely gorgeous, at the Port we preferred to eat at the Chinese restaurant that looks over the bay but no matter where you go there are loads of places to eat so you will find something for everyone. The beach at Alcudia is one of the best on the island, great for kids as the water is very shallow at the shore and if you want to get away from the crowds simply walk a little bit up the beach before picking your spot. Personally we spent most of our days just lazing around the pool there's nothing better than getting up in the morning and walking right out on to your patio with you pj's on and no-one can see you its fab. There is no need for a car when staying here but if you do have one take a trip up the hill behind Alcudia the views from here are stunning. The owner will give you directions. We did try walking one day but couldn't find a way up. Places we would recommend you visit are Puerta Pollensa (a short taxi or bus ride) & Sa Coma if you have a car. There is loads for the kids to do in Alcudia you can walk 10 mins along the road to the Hydro Park, it is a bit expensive to get in but we had a great day here lots of water slides to keep the kids happy for hours. The Bellevue near the centre has crazy golf (beware of the mosquitos) go karts, bungee trampolines, fun fair & much more. Bikes can be hired from various places and are quite cheap. I would recommend Casa Helena to everyone it is in a perfect location and has all you need for a holiday at any time of the year with a very friendly owner who is only a phone call away should you need her. Having been to Majorca 5 times this was by far the best for our family.

This was one of the best Villas my familly have ever stayed in. Not only was it immaculately clean, it was very much loved & cared for by the owner. With every utensil & appliance you will ever need in the kitchen & gorgeous bedrooms all wth pretty matching bedding. Even the baby's cot had beautiful bedding & blankets.
The villa was very child friendly, all on one level so no stairs to worry about & the pool was lovely & not too deep.
We were within easy walking distance to all bars, shops, restaurants & beach in either direction so a hire car is not necessary at all.
The lady who owned the villa was very friendly & helpful & was only a phone call away if we needed anything.
We couldn't recommend this villa enough & will definately be returning.
