Beautiful Alghero

My partner, I and our ten month old son stayed in this beautiful flat for two weeks. It could hardly be better situated, in the heart of the old town close to everything.

The centre of Alghero is a lovely old town, cobbled narrow streets, old buildings, churches, well worth a visit.

I would recommend the apartment to friends of mine and if I was to return to Alghero I would stay in the same apartment. Thank you Franca!!!
Owner's Response: Thank you to you. I am happy that also your little kid love Alghero and my apartment.I hope to have you again. Franca

Beautiful location

Review Submitted: September 1, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We really loved this flat, which is in the center of the old town of Alghero. It was extremely easy to access by public transport and was set off of a piazza that gave it a lovely atmosphere. The flat itself is simply furnished, but with a consistent, modern point of view that appeals to more creative, urban types. Further, the fresco on the ceiling creates a lovely focal point and special old-world feeling.

Good to know: Whilst the weather was hot when we were there, we found there was a decent cross-breeze during the evenings which helped make the flat comfortable for sleeping despite not having air conditioning. Also, the owner and local contact were extremely helpful and great with communication throughout the booking and stay.

We had a wonderfull time in lovely Alghero and could not have asked for a better location to stay during our trip, The warm and bright appartment was just like being home - just abroad. It's location right in the centre, but still quite and peacefull was just perfect for us. Very good restaurants in Alghero if you like fish and good local wine at very fair prices, and the beach Bombarde just 15 min. with bus from the town centre was very nice, with local people and quite. The trip down to Bossa on a scooter, was a butifull experience with no turist, just nature and a lot of small butifull beaches. - We will be back for sure :-)

Ideal apartment in central Alghero

Situated in the heart of Alghero old town. Very well maintained and equipped. Furnished in a modern style which is a refreshing alternative to the stodgy interiors of too much holiday accommodation. A bedroom undisturbed by street noise (not always the case in Italy). Conveniently close to restaurants, bars, shops and markets selling fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and bread.
What else is there to say about this attractive apartment? Perhaps a couple of things. It’s only a short walk from bus stops for the airport (single fare 70 cents at the time of writing), Sassari, Bosa as well as local destinations. So you won’t necessarily need a car.
And unless you plan to spend all day on the beach, it’s a much more interesting location than the strip of hotels and apartments that runs northward along the shore from Alghero’s harbour.
Finally, as others have already noted, there's the efficient and friendly service provided by owner Franca.

First let me say that searching and booking over this website is really easy. Especially because we need internet access.
Unfortunately the internet wasn´t compatible with our laptop.

The appartment itself is exactly as descriped. We get a cordial welcome and a lot of information. You stay right in the historic centre of Alghero with cafes, restaurants and shops just a few steps away. Even in Mid March there is life in this little town and that was just what we wanted. Although the appartment is very quiet - only on Sundays you get a wake up call from the nearby church. It is fully equipped and even beyond it.

Because of lying in the old heart of the town there is no parking place. You can park your car outside the old town, about 800 metres ago.

Over all we can really recommend this place!

Alghero Appartment

Mardu Limerick, Ireland
Review Submitted: November 18, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2008
Very nice appartment in the old historic section of Alghero. Close to shops, restaurants, and cafe/bars. Weather was pretty good for November. Hiring a car for a few days and touring would be recommended - some nice areas nearby. Not much in the way of leisure facilities in November - swimming pools etc. Suitable for couples but not for families.

A great apartment, in the centre of the old town

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this stylish apartment (Franke appliances were particularly noted by my designer husband) and the fresco is a great selling point. It's central to the old town of Alghero, and provided a great place to relax in. Shame there's no outside space, but you can't have everything!

We had a lvoely week's stay at the apartment. Franca is extremely helpful and friendly and a pleasure to deal with. We found that we had everything that we needed in this peaceful apartment. It was so close to everything and even though we didn't use the cooking facilities, washing machine etc. it was nice knowing that all the amenities were there if we needed them. We had a car for the week which I think is recommended if you want to see more than the Old Town. The car park is only 5-7 mins walk away and it's free! Book in advance for the best rates. I would definitely recommend staying here for a stress free holiday.
