Stunning finca in a peaceful setting

How to describe such an amazing place in only 2500 characters?! Everything about our holiday experience at the Finca was fantastic - even before and after the holiday!

Andrea is a gem at making sure everything is taken care of with the booking, from the initial lovely phone call describing the house to the super-speedy return of the security deposit. Such a pleasure to deal with, her passion for the Finca and making sure we didn’t need for anything was just one of the reasons we will certainly return.

The house and setting is beautiful, inside and out. The décor is so clean and modern, with beautiful little touches that really make you feel at home. The welcome pack being just one of them - after the flying and driving (which is only about an hour from Malaga and very easy), the beer and wine left for us was a sweet gesture – and hit the spot!
There is absolutely nothing about the house we could fault. Everything has been thought of, even a dishwasher and ceiling fans!

We spent most of our time reading on the terrace, enjoying the sunshine on the loungers or relaxing in the pool on the lilo Andrea has left for guests. The Finca is totally private, we weren’t disturbed once whilst there. You can just sit and watch the neighbours far away going about their business in the hills and listen to the sounds of the goats as they’re herded up for milking.

Villaneueva de la Concepcion (15 min drive) has most of what you need in a few basic supermarkets and a bread shop but we ventured into Antequera (45 min drive) a couple of times to stock up the large fridge back at the house with a wider selection. We took in the delights of Churros and chocolate whilst in town too. El Torcal national park is in between the two towns and well worth a visit. We left it until about 5pm, when the sun wasn’t as hot. Flip flops aren’t ideal, so wear something a little sturdier.

One of the best parts of the holiday was the star-gazing we did each night. Lying on a lounger, with a glass of wine looking up at the stars and satellites and even seeing some shooting stars is a memory I’ll hold dear.

All in all, we had a perfect time, at a perfect location. We highly recommend this place as a holiday destination, for all groups of people – young and old. If you’re after buzzing nightlife, this isn’t for you. But if you’re after the most relaxing time in very pleasurable surroundings, you should book now!

Very beautiful house, with great views in the Andalusia hills. The house is equipped with very nice furniture. We spend a lot of time in the private pool, and every evening we were scouting for the Sheppard and his goats. The kids like to explorer the surroundings ruins, hunting lizards, and the games/toys Andrea had left for them. The house is close to the highway and Airport. But it’s very quite with almost no sound to disturb the peace. The small village nearby can supply you with basics foods, otherwise where is a bigger supermarket in 30-40 minutes drive. (Antequera or Colmenar)
If you want to sightseeing, we can recommend: Granada, Ronda and Malaga. And a visit to the wolf park, just 25 minutes drive away, is highly recommendable.
The owner, Andrea is the perfect host. She is very friendly and the description she made of the house and the view is everything and more. Thanks for being such a nice and honestly person.
Even after almost 3 weeks in Finca Chimeneas, we really didn’t want to leave.

The Finca is just as described - a fantastic private hideaway where you can do as little or as much as you please. We chose to stay almost exclusively at the property relaxing in the sun by the pool reading, eating, drinking, just watching the world go slowly by with the farmers tending their land and goat herds occasionally clanging their way up or down the valley.
Communication with Andrea the owner was effortless from my initial call to her, to subsequent contact from her via email and text to ensure all was well. Everything went without the slightest hitch - I only wish holidays booked through more well known outlets were as straight forward and hassle free as this!
Finca Chimeneas is a credit to the owners' hard work and diligence, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat where they can get away from it all in a bit of style.
The only problem we had was leaving - one week just wasn't enough!

As you would expext being so high up the temperature drops in the evening, but is was a joy to sit in front of a roaring log fire....very romantic

This villa is ideal for those who want to get away from it all in style.
The villa is quite remote (no 4x4 needed - we got caught in a terrible rainstorm and the car (corsa) managed just fine). Those not confident of driving may find it a little difficult.
Having said that, it's well worth the effort. It's not a problem getting to the nearest town(s) and back by car - but to be honest - you just won't want to! The villa, grounds and pool are so nice (and immaculately clean) that you will just want to chill out there. There's nothing nicer than floating in the pool will the sounds of the goat bells in the distance and the smells of your other half making dinner on the barbie. Pure bliss.
The owner, Andrea's communication was very good, both by telephone and email, leaving us feel confident that everything was being taken care of in advance of our stay.
The villa was very welcoming when we arrived very late at night - it was the perfect start to our holiday.
Should you be able to drag yourself away from the pool and the fragrant garden, the villa is well situated for day trips to Antequera, Cordoba, Rio Frio, Malaga, and Nerja.
I cant recommend it highly enough.

What can I say, this villa fulfilled all our criterior. A stylish villa, with lots of attention to detail, cool furniture, romantic lighting, lovely open plan living, which suited our family. Our 2 children (aged 6 and 8) loved seeing the farmer with his goats in the valley, ringing his bells, they loved the freedom, being able to explore the ruins nearby and going for walks in the hills and of course the pool.

On arrival we had been left a bottle of wine and lots of provisions. The villa was lovely and clean and the kids loved having their own en-suite wet room, not to mention our sunken bath with views over the valley.

Andrea the owner was extremely friendly and helpful and spoke directly to the doctor for us in Spanish and checked that we were okay and enjoying our visit.

We eat at the villa most evenings as it was so beautiful we didn't really want to leave. I would certainly recommend it as a get away from it holiday, as it is quite a trek to the nearest town and shops, so best to stock up with food etc for a few days at a time.

Last summer we spend one week in finca Chimeneas and we had such a wonderfull time that we hope to come back another time. My husband and our two boys loved evrything: the house, the views and ofcorse the pool and the terrace.
the location is peacefull, no neigbourrs, only the shephard and his goats with their bells. We lovbed the landscape, very rural.
The finca is near the beautiful natuire reserve El Torcal, where you can find an impressive landscape,it's really worth visiting!
Although we were mostly sitting outside, we also loved the interior of the house,very modern and tasteful furnished.
We loved ofcourse the sunken bath, in the morning with a nice cup of coffee and in the afternoon with a glass of wine overlooking the hills.

In the evening we didn't want to go to a restaurant, because the terrace near the house was the best place to have your dinner: quiet,peacefull looking at thousand of stars.

The kitchen is very well equiped and on wednesday we met the cleaner and although we speak only a few word spanisch, we had a nice conversation with them and they brought us almonds from their own tree.
