We all really enjoyed our holiday. The villa is beautiful. The beds are very comfortable. Having the 2 bathrooms was a bonus (the shower is huge) and we thought the kitchen was really well stocked with crockery etc plus having the toaster was really good. You said it was a home from home and it was.

Having the front garden, the balcony and the roof terrace meant if we were all in the villa at once we could still have our individual space to sunbathe and read/listen to music. So we could all be together and apart at the same time. i think we all loved the roof terrace the best! When you were up there it was so quiet and relaxing.

We had a really great time and it was nice that everything you had told us about the villa and the area was true.

Excellent Value for Money

The description of the villa and location were spot on. With a family of 5 this villa was great, plenty of room and well equipped.

It was great to have a choice of the pool or many good beaches close by. The children especially enjoyed the water park which was only 20 minutes away and reasonably priced due to the fact they charged for the first day and you could get in the next day for free.

We also enjoyed being able to walk to the Plaza with its great choice of bars and restaurants and no aguments over who was driving.

We were met at the property by the owners who gave us a comprehensive 'low down' on the villa and surrounding area which was extremely helpful. This was our first experience of having a villa holiday and it was excellent value for money. The villa was well equiped and was spacious. the choice of where to catch the sun or to eat your meals was spread over 3 floors, which gave choice, privacy and room for the family to all eat together. It was well equiped for the children with ipod docking station, dvd, sky etc. Decorated to a high standard and in excellent condition. The local area was a 10 minute stroll with plenty of choice of bars and restuarants. the pool is much bigger than it appears in the pics and was never crowded and was spotlessly clean. On site you are supported by Brian who lives 30meters away and is extremely helpful (thanks Brian). We are already checking our calendar for when we can go again. Thanks again to Barbie and Terry for making the booking and arrival very smooth and hassle free. Definately a villa to book for a relaxing hoiliday, with home comforts and value for money. :-) Mike and Sandra

Relax in the sun

I have enjoyed several wonderful holidays here in Villamartin, and currently planning my 5th visit. The house has all the home comforts you would ever need and the outside space, with the balcony and terrace, provide an area for quiet relaxation and privacy. Our 8 year old son, enjoyed the many beautiful local beaches and on one of our days out, we visited the castle at Alicante, with it's superb views across the harbour, well worth a visit! The local restaurants are fantastic with a great choice of food. The property is perfectly located for a quick and easy journey from the airport. Hope to be back soon.

Great Family Holiday

We had a great holiday with our 3 year old. It was truly a home from home. Very comfortable and very relaxing from the minute we arrived. The villa was very well stocked with good quality essentials that makes self catering much easier. Everything was conveniently located in the town, and only a short drive to the beach. It was a bonus being able to sunbathe and relax in the outside spaces whilst our daughter played safely nearby. The pool was a perfect diversion, and was great with both a shallow and deep area. We would definitely go back!

Just back from our third visit to Barbie's Villa - a real home from home with all the little extras that make your holiday perfect. Best place we have stayed on the Costa Blanca - and we have stayed in lots!! See you in September, Claire and family.

A week in the sun

Review Submitted: November 14, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
Trying to crowbar in a break for me and the kids before the "back to school" deadline was going to prove friutless, but then I found this property and began liaising with the owner. From the word go (literally I received an e-mail response within minutes!) it was excellent. I moved dates and arrival times, trying to sort flights out and all this was accomodated.
Lovely place, a real home from home and we settled in instantly. (apart from bickering about who would have the double bed!!). All the decorations and facilities are impeccable.
We would spend the days round the pool and alternate nights eating in/out, wandering up to the square, which is where the supermarket and the bus stop are.
Late at night we would take advantage of the DVD collection and curl up and watch a movie.
The care and attention taken by the owner, in addition to the communication before, during and post the holiday has been unparallelled and when next year comes round and it's all a bit last minute, maybe it will be fingers crossed on checking the availability!!
