Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. This house is becoming increasingly more popular as people realise the benefits of tailoring their own holidays. It is quite easy to organise booking the house, the flights and the car and we can be very flexible with the dates, which means you can choose the cheaper flights with the bargain airlines.
We hope you will visit again soon.

San Juan - 2 weeks holiday in july 2009

Review Submitted: August 18, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We've stays 2 weeks in this lovely villa, because we love the beaches in Alicante. Especially the one at San Juan - playa muchavista - El Campello. Here you have nice restaurants, soft sandy beaches and locals.

Our 2 children were well entertained with the swimmingpool, tennis and also a playground (in front of our door!!!).

During weekdays it was quit but in the weekends with the locals at the beach it was busy.

Spanish people go to the beach early, especially in the weekends, but than at 13:00 hrs, they go home and you can almost have the beach to yourselves so quitly it becomes between 13:00 - 16:00 o'clock

We've also spend some time in Benidorm, at Aqualandia, great park with water slides, wholes, etc.etc. and nextdoor Mundomar, park with dolphines, sea-lions and other animals. Great shows at mundomar!
There is also a nice shopping mall called La Marina with 3 floors of shops and on the roof nice restaurants and playgrounds for the kids!

We always go far into spain for our holiday, preferably in the area of Alicante, because the weather is so good here. We drive by our own car. In this area you need a car for shopping and the beach is only 5 minutes drive from the villa.

Beautiful house with swimming pool very clean. Everything is available. We spend a lovely holiday. Especially for families.
With children, it's still advisable to have a car.

Ideal Holiday Villa for Family

Linda Eyre South Cheam, Surrey, England
Review Submitted: May 17, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
We came here for our first family holiday to Spain. The villa was perfect for all our needs and it is located in a very secure and friendly complex.

The owners had toys and videos for guests to use and our 4 year old was well entertained! Just outside the villa is a playground where our son was able to make friends with the local resident children.

The villa itself was very clean and well equipped for a comfortable stay. The large terrace overlooking the gardens was lovely to wake up to every morning.

We arrived just before the high season and found it to be the best experience. We were able to be submerged into the Spanish culture and language without being overwhelmed. It was a great learning experience for the whole family and we strongly recommend embracing it! Our 4 year old learned loads of Spanish phrases, and we got to freshen up on our rusty Spanish.

The beaches were beautiful and weren't busy at all. At this time of the year, the weather was neither too hot or too cold for sitting and playing at the beach all day. Our favourite beach was Playa de San Juan.

We highly recommend this villa and look forward to booking our next holiday with this villa.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments.

The house is perfect for families. The proximity to the beach means that it is very easy to go there even if it is only for an hour. The majority of beaches are blue flag and nearly all beaches have climbing frames for the children to play on.

San Juan is a particularly beautiful beach and is mainly used by locals.

Our stay during January 2009

Wmichael London, UK
Review Submitted: February 8, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
The villa was great for our requirements. It was spacisous, clean and had underground parking. Hiring a car is essential and makes life alot easier. The supermarket is nearby as is the city centre. The people are friendly and very helpful. Overall, very good value for money and would definately recommend the villa to others.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. It is very important to us that the house is presentable on your arrival. We have used a couple of companies to manage our property and have finally found one that meets our expectations. We expect guests to find it as we would like to find it, clean and tidy. We're very glad that you liked the house and had a good break. We look forward to welcoming you back to Sunny Alicante again soon!

Summar in Spain

Review Submitted: September 13, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
We visited this property in July 2008 with our two children aged 8 and 4. The villa was excellent, it was very well furnished and had access to a lovely pool. The weather was wonderful with two weeks of unbroken sunshine. During the week the complex was very quiet (even though this was peak season) and we often had the pool to ourselves. At the weekend it was busy as the locals were around.

We would strongly recommend a car as you need this to get food, go out in the evening and go to the beach. If you are happy walking 1/2 hour each way you could get to a supermarket but that is a long way in the heat.

We found the immediate area very touristy. San Juan beach is beautiful but incredibly busy during the day. However, it is lovely for a stroll in the evening.

We tended to use the car to visit a bit further afield. We would recommend Guadalest which has amazing views, a lovely castle and quaint shops. Nearby is Fonts de l'algar where you can swim in cool mountain water. Take a picnic. Make sure you drive past the first car parks (which charge) and drive right up the hill to the free parking. This also saves walking up the hill.

We would strongly recommend Aqualandia and Mundomar if you have children. You can get a two-day pass at a reasonable cost and you do not have to go on consecutive days.

The accomodation is lovely and you can easily relax by the pool. The weather is great. If you hire a car there are plenty of interesting places to visit.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments.

The complex itself is indeed very peaceful and you never feel overwhelmed by people. The local beach is at its busiest in August and is at its peak between about 11am - 2pm, when the locals then leave to go home for lunch. After this time it is relatively quiet and you can easily take a position on the shore line. Many people use the beach for strolling in the evening.

The local town of El Campello is beautiful for this in the evenings as there are many restaurants along the sea front and the area is pedestrianised, making it very safe for families and young children.

Very nice house

Review Submitted: September 8, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
We( me, elderly parents and 3 sons in schoolage) had a perfect holiday in this house. The house was fresh and had everything we needed. The nice climate gave us long nice evenings/nights together on the large terass! The pool in the area was very clean and had a good size both for swimming and playing!
Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments.

The terrace is at the rear of the house and over looks the inside of the complex. From the terrace you have a lovely view of the swimming pool, but you are not directly over it. It is beautiful to sit out and have meals as many of the residents often do.

The complex has a full time caretaker, so the pool and the area as a whole is kept in very good condition.

Charming and Tranquil

Review Submitted: August 3, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
Had a wonderful holiday in May and will definitely be returning! The villa was very clean, well maintained, and had everything you need to make a comfortable stay. It was a delight to sit on the balcony overlooking beautifully kept gardens and pool. Very centrally located for visiting many places of interest and other beaches and although we hired a car, we also enjoyed the very efficient, modern tram service. There is a great choice of excellent supermarkets within short driving distance and because of the well equipped kitchen and the pleasure of eating on the balcony, this made it so easy. The whole complex had a very tranquil atmosphere. Can't wait to return!
Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. We really do feel that this house is a bit of a gem. It is away from the tourist areas so therefore gives you a nice relaxing holiday, the complex is residential, so generally quiet, but it is near enough to tourist life should you want some. Alicante city centre gives you everything you need, shops, restaurants, night life and beach, and is only ten minutes on the tram or in the car. The local beach is only a 3 minute drive away. We look forward to you returning!
