Harmony House

This is a great house in a fantastic location, just 10 minutes walk from the sea front and accessible to Cape Town within 20 minutes. The house itself is very spaciaous and well equipped with wonderful views over the mountains from the balcony and a perfect place to sit out in the evenings. We arrived to fresh flowers and wine courtesy of Ann, and she was always on hand to source babysitters, drivers and even the eashing machine repair man! We would certainly recommend this house.

House is very spacious, comfortable, clean and maintained to high standard. Great location in hout Bay close to local shops and good restaurants. Lovely open views from terrace. Ideal position for exploring the Cape Peninsula and other local attractions including Cape Town, Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch, Hermanus, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek to name but a few. No hesitation in recommending.

I thought I would say how pleased my wife and I were with Harmony house we rented over Easter this year.

We have rented many houses over the years and yours has been the best so far!

The location is fantastic being just 20 minutes from the centre of Cape Town and only 10 minutes from Camps Bay which we fell in love with.

The great thing about renting a house is the way you can instantly relax (if the property is good). Yours is great and we did indeed relax.

It is the things that you take for granted that usually go wrong but in this case everything worked. The way your friend met us at the house, the bottle of wine, the keys all labelled, the washing machine that worked, the instant hot water, the great bed, the lovely sitting room, everything. This all coupled with the great amount of space and the views and early morning sun added up to a wonderful experience.

See you next year. God willing.

Thanks
Neville

A Holiday Of A Lifetime,

South Africa, and in particular Cape Town, is one of my favorite parts of the world having made quite a few visits over the years during my world wide travels.
However my wife and I spent our 47th wedding anniversary in Hout Bay an absolute stunning part of the Cape.
It was made all the more pleasant because we stayed in "Harmony House" idealy situated for a five minute walk to the main street, shops, bars, and resteurants and maybe another ten minutes walk into the beautiful Hout Bay were there were more lovely resteurants overlooking the the bay.
And just about a twenty minutes drive into Cape Town.
"Harmony House" was exactly as it was described to us, it was very clean & well maintained & very good customer service was provided.
The views from the house all round were stunning as you would expect in South Africa, in adition the people are all so friendly.
We have no complaints whatsoever.
As already mentioned this was a holiday of a lifetime we would without a doubt recommend "Harmony House" to anyone who may wish to stay there, we don't think you will be dissapointed.

Disappointing

Review Submitted: April 14, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
Although the living area and master bedroom are spacious the other two bedrooms are very small with inadequate storage space. One shower between 7 people is frustrating and this shower has broken tiles and mould. The paved area around the pool is small if you want to sun-bathe and there are no sun-loungers. The pool remained extremely cold even with the solar heating! The house is in a good location and with a bit of maintainance and modernisation it could be a really nice place to stay. In its present state I would not recommend it to my friends.
Owner's Response: I have attended to the issues raised by the lady in her e-mail and it is unfortunate that she did not bring them to the attention of our resident lady there as they would have been happily resolved timeously. Like all homes maintenance has to be ongoing and this is done every spring by the owner. Accommodation will never please all of the people all of the time but we do try to fit in with everyone's needs and requirements so that they enjoy their stay with us in Harmony House, and return to us for further holidays, as many of them do

19/02/07 It was like walking into five star accommodation when we arrived at the house.
Ann had fresh flowers arranged and a bottle of wine in the fridge.
We loved the house and the modern decor.
The children had such fun in the pool and the location to the shops is excellent.
We had a wonderful time. (Sandra Piper NSW Australia)
