Fabulous villa

1st up Ifach Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, England
Review Submitted: April 2, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
The villa provided excellent and comfortable accommodation. The owners' additional touches of providing a dvd and video collections, games and playing cards filled the quiet moments. The villa is in a quiet residential location, although we were early in the season - end of March 2009. Despite the time of year the weather during the day was very warm. We were able to catch the sun all day with the front and rear courtyards. The rear courtyard is very secure and private. The town/beach are within easy walking distance subject to a reasonable level of fitness. The area is a little hilly. There's a great choice of local and international supermarkets close by. Its a beautiful area of Spain that is worth exploring. Would have no reservation whatsoever about booking this villa again.

Large Villa with Clean Spacious Communal Pool

RPreston Bedford
Review Submitted: November 14, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We stayed here at the end of October 2009. There were 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 children (7 & 5yrs). We found the villa to be light and airy. More than enough space for all of us. A short drive took you into the main Calpe area. The villa is on a small quiet residential area. The villa was just as described and an ideal base for exploring the region. The communal pool and garden area were exceptionally clean and well maintained, with beautiful views all around. Calpe has excellent beaches and restaurants to suit all budgets and requirements. We would definitely come to the area again.

Just perfect place

Review Submitted: August 10, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
There is really everything you need for having a perfect holiday stay. We spent there almost 3 weeks and can say that it was a place what we have been looking for. Nothing else, nothing more, just everything as expected. For the next time we will not think about the place, we will come back only here. Nice quiet area. If you like, you can stay for the evening in the beach restrains, if you like a night life, you can stay in Benidorm. But in any case you will come back in Blue Moon Villa to enjoy the time in Spain. There is only one minus: holiday time always short…

We love the villa in Calpe!

Review Submitted: December 3, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
We ( a family from Sweden with two girls 14 and 16) have stayed in the villa in Calpe twice now, Sep 2007 and Sep this year. The first time we didn`t had any luck with the weather at all ( rain rain and lots of rain! ). What a luck that the villa was so perfect when we had to spend more time indoors than we expected. We really love the villa! It`s perfect; lots of space, very nice kitchen, the "own" pool just a minute away and the nice little garden at the back.We did hired a car direct from the airport. Easy and nice to be able to go away on little trips. We went to Guadalest to the waterfalls and went to nearby towns and beaches. The town Calpe has everything we need for a perfect holiday; nice beaches, lots of restaurants, local shops ( by the beach and in the old town ) and markets. We have had two ( so far ) very ice holidays in " The villa " in Calpe!

Lovely holiday home

The villa was all it claimed to be on the website and more. The facilites were all you could wish for and the local wine even better(at just over £1 per bottle) The resort of Calpe was about a half hour stroll which was down a very busy road but fine in nice weather. We did have a car and I would recommend this especially if children are in your party. The property was well maintained and comfortable furnishings. Lots of lovely eating establishments in and around Calpe. All in all a lovely holiday.

Fantastic Villa

Review Submitted: September 8, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
We stayed here in June this year and had a wonderful time, the pictures and description of the Villa does not due it justice. The pool was very clean and tidy and most of the time we had it to ourselves, we tended to use it in the morning and late afternoon after coming off the beach.
Calpe itself is a lovely resort and I would recommend visiting the old part of the town, nice cafes and narrow streets to look around. There are some superb restaurants in Calpe itself, we were spoilt for choice!!. We didn't bother to hire a car, but when we go back again we will arrange to pick a car up from the airport. We used to walk to and from the beach during the day and then taxi both ways in the evenings. The problem we had that was that we were a party of 5 adults and no taxi firms would take 5, so we ended up using two each way, the fares averaged 6-7 euros each taxi each way, so not overly expensive. Will definately go back, just trying to arrange a time when all 5 of us can get the time off work!!.

Blue Moon Villa - A very relaxing place

Review Submitted: July 8, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
We spent 10 days at Blue Moon Villa in May of this year and had a wonderful holiday. The villa was everything and more, fully equiped kitchen and very homely indeed. The views from the lounge are beautiful and pool within a few steps of the villa. We were a family of 5 with 3 children 7, 5 and 4 , so needed a car to get around. Most of the days were spent on the beautiful beaches of Calpe, although a visit to Morira and Altea are a must (only a 1/2hr drive down the coast). Have already booked up again next year. A very relaxing and pleasant place to visit Spain from. I am sure we will be regulars.

Relaxed Elegance on the Costa Blana

Mr & Mrs Smith Stow-on-the-Wold
Review Submitted: May 24, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
Calpe is a resort that offers blue skies and endlessly stretching pristine beaches along with sugar-white dwellings, high rise apartments and hotels, that is so indicative of the Costa Blanca area. In my opinion, this is the Costa Blanca at its best! I was familiar with the location of Villa Lunar Azul, having lived in the locale for some four years, so I knew its setting would be a quiet villa discreetly tucked away adjacent to tennis courts and a communal pool, sheer luxury!
I couldn't have dreamt the sheer elegance and chic this villa had to offer... immaculate, well equipped, comfortable, light, airy, spacious and 'miy tranquillo'. Located very close to the fabulous beaches, local shops and markets, it has everything to offer for an ideal holiday, any time of the year. The town (within walking distance) offers a carefree tour around the up-market designer shops as well as offering hand made and local gifts to suit any pocket. If you fall in love with Calpe, you won't find a better place to stay than Villa Lunar Azul... If you pick your dates carefully, sometimes you might only be sharing the beach with the seagulls! The beach walks are worth doing so don't forget to pack your flip-flops .. and if you still get bored after all of that, there is always The Rock to climb, the view from the top is spectacular ! Happy holidays !

We holidayed here in November 2007. We had a superb time. Our son was just 7 months old and it was like home from home. The description was spot-on, but doesn't do the actual house justice. The way it is presented is like being at home, it was clean & tidy and a practical, welcome pack provided. The location requires a car to get into the local town, but its set on a small, Spanish estate - very quiet and friendly. A minute walk to the very clean communal pool, which was cold in Nov, but would be perfect in the Summer. The house itself is an upside house, with the lounge and kitchen upstairs with one bedroom & 2nd bathroom, this was a struggle with shopping etc... but only because we had a tacker too!! The local contact is just down the road and very friendly, although the owners were just a call away, had we have needed them. We visited some superb local restaurants, a couple recommended by the owners. A superb Argentine steak house, the Japanese restaurant was an experience and what friendly people - a must!!! Amalfi's Italian restaurant is a small, family run place was just lovely, you have to try the garlic bread!!! We visted Guadalest, this is also a must, what beautiful views and the waterfall too. I would highly recommend this property to anyone - couples, families even business people. We will definetly go again, can't wait, in fact!!!
