Casa Marianna - 'Home from Home'

Three generations. Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Review Submitted: August 3, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We have been taking our family to villas on the Algarve and Costa del Sol for the last 10 years or so and we are all agreed that this was our best holiday yet! The villa was excellent, a lovely setting, very well equipped and with a lovely 'home from home' feel to it. The owners and villa manager were very efficient and easy to deal with. We would have no hesitation in recommending this excellent villa to other families.

'Home from Home'

My husband, myself & our two friends have just returned from a week's stay at the Casa Marianna.
What a villa, everything you need whether it's a cocktail glass or a bucket & spade is on hand.
The villa is very well maintained, clean, spacious (although there were four us eight would have been more than comfortable)
To get down to the pool you had to go down about 14 steps, but with a wonderful pool, toilet, shower, BBQ, eating area and many loungers once down you could be there for the day.
The villa overlooked the golf course, the views were terrific and there was a lovely restaurant within walking distance.
I would recommend a car as the town is a little out with a steep hill to walk back, a taxi though was only 4 euro's.
The owner provided an excellent service.
I would certainly recommend the Villa to friends and would not hesitate to go back.

CASA SUPERB!

MOFFMACS DUMFRIESSHIRE, SCOTLAND
Review Submitted: August 4, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
Two families, 4 kids (7), (7), (5), (5) and one baby (18 months).

Villa layout is excellent with two seperate sleeping 'wings' for each family so you all have some space. Large living room, dining area and good sized kitchen with all the family support system supplied. The pool is an excellent size and has a slope so the 7 year olds can stand up at the shallow end whilst the little ones play around the steps that access the pool or put on swimming aids. The pool area is seperate from the villa and accessed down about 15 steps. A handy gate also prevents children from getting to the pool unaccompanied. When around the pool area there is a BBQ area, plenty of space and a handy shower and toilet to save going into the villa. At night you can retire from the pool area if you want and enjoy the other enclosed dining courtyard with BBQ and access to rooftop views.

The villa rooms are all a great size and have plenty of space for storage. Bathrooms are all well furnished and equipped and all have good showers fitted! The aircon is extensive and effective.

Access to town takes about 25-30 mins stroll on foot with kids etc but there are plenty of freindly taxi's that will collect you for 5 euros including tip. A large supermarket is also about 10 mins in the taxi which is great for large shopping.

The town itself is typically Portugese and has a friendly relaxing atmosphere at night with a good selection of restaurants to cater for all tastes. Nearer the villa there are some restaurants including Poco Partido (very nice) and the golf club which is handy for a quiet drink and snack.

Overall a great base for a relaxing holiday with good facilities and quiet setting.

Exceptional holiday

Monkey Berkshire, UK
Review Submitted: March 3, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2007
It is obvious that much care and thought has gone into making this property an exceptional holiday destination. The facilities (large garden, spacious rooms, fantastic poolside area) make this an ideal villa for all age groups, whether you want to idle away the hours relaxing or take advantage of local activities on offer. Although I fall into the former group, the more energetically-inclined can head for the golf course and tennis courts or explore the varied walking terrain that will help you work off any over-indulgence in Portuguese wine and patisserie. Cavoeiro is small, quiet and charming. If you want lively clubs, Albufeira is a short drive. When we were there, the owners had also provided a car. Overall, a beautiful villa in an excellent location.

CLASSY CASA MARIANNA

Oddjob Dorset
Review Submitted: February 24, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2007
We are due to return to this lovelly villa for our third holiday this summer. We have been with friends, family and this time we are taking our grown up children and their partners,
The villa is very well appointed with lovelly views from the roof terrace. You have a choice of two lovelly BBQ areas. Even with maximum occupancy of eight people there is plenty of room in the beautiful pool. There is a great local beach 10 mins walk away. In our oppinion a car is a must to visit the other lovelly beaches and places of interest.

It's Like Shangri-La - land of youth and beauty.

Poyle Bucks, England.
Review Submitted: February 13, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2007
If you want to renew your batteries and feel young again, please visit this Villa - you will feel as if you have been to Shangri-La - it is the perfect holiday resort and will re-energise you.
It is beautiful and has been maintained and renovated to an exceptionally high standard. It lacks for nothing, providing every physical comfort and facility that you need to spend a great holiday, surrounded by a typical Mediterranean garden which is in perfect condition, and a great swimming-pool. It is also set in a lovely part of the Algarve, but you have everything you need at the Villa itself and one could happily stay there without even visiting the surrounding area, which is an added bonus to your holiday.
I cannot recommend it highly enough to anybody, and I will be going again in a couple of months.
