A Holiday to remember.....

JB2009 St Albans, Hertfordshire
Review Submitted: March 30, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2008
This was my first trip to the land of the sun, along with three of my friends.
Outstanding.....a beautiful apartment setting, midway on Holder's Hill. A beautiful stroll down to the beach which was about 7 minutes away, true to the description. The rooms were a decent size, comfortable and there was an area where we could all relax. Many thanks for letting us stay at the apartment. Hopefully we will all visit soon. It has already been a year this April that we were there. A combination of the right accomodation, the locals and the experience has made it a trip to remember.......Hopefully another trip to Barbados this year?

We enjoyed our nearly two weeks stay in the clean apartment very much.
The trustful and honest owner provided an apartment, that is really nice and worth the money. Everything that is written on the description will be found on its place and is true. The connection to our friendly and helpful manager Jacky was good and she made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank You.
The furnitures and everything is nearly new, and you will also find a ´balcony` with view to the ocean.
I can recommend this proberty to my friends.

Let me make a statement to the last mentioned noisy street:
In comparison to the general noise level on Barbados, it is not loud around the apartment.

My stay at the Seaview Apartment Holders Hill

benup 37 Oakfield Road, Walthamstow London UK
Review Submitted: March 26, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the apartment; I found the apartment well decorated, spacious and comfortable. The apartment had all the modern requirements for a holiday accommodation which consisted of comfortable beds, showers that were clean and the appliances all worked. The kitchen and lounge area was very spacious and had some lovely furniture; we also had use of cable television that covered all the worldly channel so you can be kept up to date with news and other information.

The children were able to watch their favourite programmes and this kept them quiet when at home, they were also able to play their own games through the TV monitor and we also had use of the telephone so we could keep in touch locally and order our favourite dishes when required.

The apartment is located close to all the major hotels along the west coast so we were able to visit a different beach each day along the coast some were in walking distance. There were a lot of restaurants and eating places along that stretch of coastline and we could also obtain takeaways if we did not want to eat out. The accommodation is gated with ample parking facilities and space for laundry and drying. We had our own balcony with a scenic view of the coastline during daylight, at night we could sit outside in the cool and chill out.

The place is ideally located for local transport, if we never had a car we could always hop on a local bus and get to anywhere on the island without any stress. There was a local petrol station which served everything, taxis were in abundance but the fares were not cheap.

There are two towns nearby, Holetown and Speighstown where all amenities are available including plenty of food joints as well as sightseeing, lovely beaches and also plenty nightlife.

The capital is easily accessible from Holder’s hill; average time to commute is 20 minutes where you can view all the Malls and array of shops and plaza’s that would welcome you to Barbados. There are also plenty of food places which serve you with delicious menus and plenty of soft and hard water to drink.

If you are stuck somewhere you could always ask a local for information or directions without fear, the place was lovely one of the best holidays I have ever had and the accommodation made it even more enjoyable.
Owner's Response: Thank you for the positive feedback. I also have to say thanks for being such a civil person as one of the guest from one of the other apartments made it a point to mention how helpful you had been had been to her.

A TRUE TASTE OF PARADISE

PRESTY United Kingdom
Review Submitted: March 25, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
Starting with the free airport pickup, this holiday has been the best by far.Jaquie the manager has already been hard at work preparing the apartments and her standards of cleanliness are clinical to say the least. The free welcome pack of bread, milk, cheese, butter etc. etc. enabled us to relax as soon as we reached our place and this in itself is so welcoming. The apartments are fresh, airey and as I mentioned earlier spotlessly clean. The rooms are an excellent size and everything has been thoroughly thought out in order to make your stay as stress free as possible. Air condition is an added bonus and a welcome relief from the glorious sun soaked weather. The comfort given by the extra expense this family has gone to is quite evident in the materials used to furnish these tip top apartments. I have stayed in apartments all over the world and these are second to none.Jaquie is one of the main reasons we return. Her ability to be on hand at anytime for information or help, is uncanny as you don’t realize that she is around such is her expertise at being in the right place at the right time and keeping a low profile so that you actually think the place is yours. The apartments are situated at the lower end of Holders Hill and are ideal for the quiet life away from the hustle and bustle of the more energetic areas of the island. However you are a literally a ten minute stroll away from the beautiful beach at Payne’s Bay and again minutes away from the coast road where buses are on hand every five minutes to take you anywhere on the island for the princely sum of around fifty pence. They are however close enough to the local shops and only a two minute ride away from the great shopping area of Hole town where anything can be purchased be it groceries from the supermarket to a Rolex watch from the duty free shops that are in abundance. I must emphasis that these apartments are the best we have stayed at in years of travel and we would not dream of staying anywhere else on this island. The simplicity of booking the apartments through Wellington, the never ending support of Jacquie, the total commitment given by the family before during and after your stay is something that you sadly rarely come across in this day and age. I would not hesitate to recommend these apartments and this wonderful family to anyone who would like to have a trouble free holiday in a wonderful and extremely friendly part of the world. Andy, Elaine and Amy. East Yorkshire. England. xxx
Owner's Response: Andy as a returning guest it is great to get such a positive review. When I mentioned that you had booked to return in early February, Jackie and Julie said that they were looking forward to seeing you againas you had been so positive the last time you were there.

Thanks for being such good guests.

We hope that you and the family will come again in the future.

Appartment was clean and tidy with all amenities you could ask for. It is in a nice area, although 1/4 mile uphill from the beach - which is great in the morning when you're you're going to the beach, but ...
Overall, I was very happy with my stay.
The owner and local contacts were excellent, with offers of help and a few checks to make sure all is ok.
I would recommend this property.

If you love noise or bad smell, book it.
The accommodation is located at a road which leads to the highway. You have noise the whole day as well as at night.
Owner's Response: It is most surprising and disappointing that you should feel this way.

I contacted you by telephone after your arrival to ensure that all was well and no complaints were raised.

This is normally done so that an individual who felt unhappy with the quality or standard of the service of the nature of our accommodation could make their feelings known directly to me or have the option of moving out and/ being reimbursed.

No such objection was made at the time.

It was agreed when you booked that the balance owed by you would be paid on arrival as well as the refundable securitydeposit. This was done to save you the added expense of having to pay for an additional international transfer fees.

You never honoured any of these agreements. You did not pay the balance for the rental owed nor the refundable breakage deposit. When you first arrived my local property manager was told that you had no local currency and later on that you had no more money left.

On moving out of the apartment it was not in a clean and tidy state even though the welcome pack makes clear the fact that the premises shuld be left in a clean and tidy state.
None of the above issue were mentioned in your email in which you demanded a refund.

You choose to remain for a whole week and only after having returned to Germany did you email me with these
criticisms.

Under such circumstances a refund is most definately out of the question.

You asked for a coffee percolator. My manager went out and purchased one for you. She had no obligation to do so.

Your comments appear to be at odds at odds with others who were present at the same time as you and indeed others who had rented the same apartment before and after you.

These guest had given us positive feedback on the nature of service, clealiness of the premises as well as the nature of the accommodation.I usually also receive numerous complimentary comments about the very helpfull nature of my local manager.
