La Herradura holiday apartment: - Cotobro - Superb

RYNV505 Bedfordshire, UK
Review Submitted: September 15, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
Superb apartment, accurately described, with pictures that reflect the apartment and views. Very nicely fitted out, and comfortable, with a feeling of quality and being well thought about. The area is hilly and a car is essential to access the marina and beaches, and for travel in the locality. Very accessible from several airports. May benefit from air conditioning in the main bedroom in the peak heat of the season. Dealing with the owner was pleasant and straightforward, similarly with the people at the apartment itself. Overall worked very well for us.

Beautiful apartment in lovely setting

Cuwie Surrey, UK
Review Submitted: June 22, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
The apartment exceeding our expectations, fitted out beautifully in an immaculate modern and comfortable style with all the latest mod-cons. The weather was better than we expected too and spent most of our time on the beach or round the pool rather than travel.
It was the first time we had taken our two year old on holiday, but couldn't have gone smoother. The local restaurants were friendly and incredibly accommodating. Evenings were spent in the jacuzzi, which meant my husband and I could enjoy the holiday beyond the kids bedtime!
The owner was particularly helpful and friendly - would highly recommend and am hoping to go back again.

A Very nice place in a beautiful setting. However the builders are still working next door which is fine if you like being woke up at 7 am with banging. There is lots of building work going on in the general area so can be noisy at times. We were not informed before we arrived that they would be working next door.Only to discover when talking to the builder that they have been renovating the place for quite a few months. Had we had known we would have stayed else where. A shame because we like to holiday in peaceful surroundings. The apartment was very modern and in good order .The view from the back garden is very impressive.
Owner's Response: The renovation to the apartment next door has now finished. The only other building work going on is in the town 5mins away. Of course I would have informed my clients if I thought it would have affected them, but there were no other complaints from the previous tenants. I always do my best to ensure my clients have a wonderful stay and am very sorry that one of our clients were dissapointed.

La Herradura in March 2009

Review Submitted: March 31, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
Just back from a week at Julie's apartment. This was the second time my wife and I have stayed; first time was March last year. It's a great apartment and wonderfully quiet at this time of year (unfortunately builders were in next door apartment but we were out during the day and, when back in apartment, it was still quiet in the garden).
Recommend you use the wooden 'high' chairs at end of garden to sit and watch the sun go down and just enjoy the view over the marina and the Med', with a glass of wine, or two. Enjoyed the 'menu del dia' at the Venezia restaurant in La Herradura for 9 euros - same price as 2008. Good trips are to Frigiliana, Lenteji and Pampaniera - but you must walk around these places and get into the 'back' streets. Pampaniera is a good hours drive from apartment, up in the Sierra Nevada range but remains unspoilt once you are away from the main street and square.
Will be back next year provided Euro-to-£ doesn't get any worse!

Great holiday appartment.

This was a beautiful holiday appartment for my husband and myself.
It was very modern and spacious and ultra clean and the views from the garden and bedroom and living room were fantastic.

The weather was a bit 'iffy' for us but when the sun shone we could relax in peace. A car is essential, not least because it was nice to go sight seeing along the coast in both directions and also a good trip up to La Alhambra. Also a lovely trip up into the mountains to Vinuela where there was stunning scenery.

I would certainly recommend this appartment to friends as it large enough for 2 couples as the accommodation contains two brilliant bathrooms and bedrooms.

Summer stay at Atalaya July 2008

We had a wonderstal stay at the apartment. The description was spot on - what a stunning apartment with a stunning view - it is the best we have ever stayed in. Every morning we woke up and had to look at the view and be in awe of it. My 2 teenage sons loved the swimming pool. We'd come back from the beach and spend the evenings there and often have a 10 minute relax in the jacuzzi.
The apartment had everything you could possibly want even tennis rackets, beach umbrellas and beach chairs. The apartment was very clean and modern, however we spent most of our time outside on the large patio.
The view from the apartment is of Marina Del Este, a small up market little marina with 3 or 4 restaurants and luxury yachts. We went there for a stroll around the marina and for a lovely fish meal one evening and it was delicous. We went to the beaches at Almenacar most days as it was easier to park there than La Herradura. There is also a water park at Almenacar on the sea front which was great fun, however don't expect fresh water - it is sea water. Not far away is Nerja, a small sea side town where lots of British people stay. It has lots of shops aimed at tourists and is very pretty.
If you're thinking of coming to the Costa Tropical you would be hard pushed to find a better apartment in this price range. I have already recommended it to my friends.

Fantastic vacation, fantastic accommodation, wonderful views!
Loved the hot tub, especially in the evenings with the lights of the village below!
Julie was more than helpful prior to the rental.
Would certainly recommend this to anyone.

Luxurious apartment

Cookies Leicestershire, uk
Review Submitted: May 11, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2007
My husband, myself and our 2 children had a wonderful holiday in Spain. The apartment had every thing we could possibly want during our stay and it was clean and well maintained. The complex was secure and the pool a short walk away. Most days we had it to ourselves. The views from the garden were breath taking and enjoyed particularly when sat in the hot tub with a glass of wine! I woyuld definately recommend it and would certainly use it again. We did look at coming back this year, but it was full for the dates we wanted! The owner was very helpful prior to going and the transactions via paypal were so easy!
