Review Submitted: August 26, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
An understated gem in a excellent location for touring.
Owners are unobtrusive yet attentive and very friendly.
Property spacious and decorated to a high standard with extensive gardens and recreational areas for keeping the younger ones happy.
Much preferred the surrounding areas to Cornwall and will definitely be back.
Thanks Eve.
Owner's Response: What a lovely review, thank you so much Geoff. It was great to have you and your family stay with us and we would love to have you visit us again at anytime. Regards
Eve.

Lovely Hideaway

Review Submitted: October 15, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We had a lovely stay at Ravenswood. The accomodation is clean and comfy and cosy and the electric gates made the property feel increadibly safe and secure for our two labs to roam and explore.

We had privacy and at the same time the owners made us feel very welcome, the perfect hidaway.

Plenty to see and do for all ages, most places are very dog friendly.

One walk which we didnt see advertised around much was Ebbor Gorge just a short drive away (not for the faint hearted but well worth a look, take your camera as the view is amaising and unspoilt)

Thank you again
Mark, Jen, Freddie & Coco
Owner's Response: Thanks Mark and Jen, so pleased you had a good stay with us. Eve

The cottage itself was everything we had been hoping for; spotless, warm, and well equipped. The countryside is stunning and we actually saw the deer high-tailing it off into a nearby orchard. Eve and Vince made us very welcome and the breakfast provisions which were waiting for us on our arrival were much appreciated.

Wedmore was ideally situated for visiting Bath, Wells and its stunning cathedral and its real town-centre shops and market. We had a good pub meal at the Panborough Inn. The Isle of Avalon is beautiful, but Glastonbury struck us as seriously wierd, with not a normal shop to be seen in the High Street, invaded as it is by retailers of overpriced photos of the Dalai Lama (does he get any of the proceeds?).

We loved our stay, and fully hope to go back next year to enjoy the best value for money holiday rental we've yet stayed in.
Owner's Response: What lovely comments. Thank you so much. See you next year.

What a find. Never been to the west country before, but will definately be back. Ravenswood Cottage is a love, comfortable holiday home that has everything you need. Plenty of space for the kids to play and the owners on site should you need any information or help.
The bikes were put to good use and the local pubs are friendly and serve good food.
There is so much to see within such a short distance, we will definately be back.
Owner's Response: Thank you so much. Hope to see you in the future.

wonderful holiday in the country

The cottage was immaculate and the scenery was unbelievable. The views of the Mendips were spectacular.
My husband, two sons and I were right at home in the cottage. There were many things to see and do in the area.
The kids appreciated places like Cheddar Gorge and The Wookey Hole Cave, while my husband and I liked walking around Wells. Within a short driving distance you can all enjoy the West Somerset Railway which goes to the seaside town of Minehead, with other things to see at stops along the way. If you don't mind the drive, Stonehenge and Salisbury are an easy day trip away. Salisbury in particular was very rewarding.
The bicycles available at the cottage gave the boys something to do while we relaxed in the garden. Having the owners right next door if we needed anything was nice.We had a great time playing with their dog. If you'd appreciate farm fresh Somerset cider, make sure to visit Wilkin's Cider farm over the hill in Mugley.
We hope to come back and enjoy it all again someday soon.
Owner's Response: We always do our best to make our guests feel at home and would love to see you again in the future.
Thanks

This place is magical. It was very relaxing to sit out the back looking into the valley. Our family spent four nights here and it felt like home. The boys loved the bikes and the space they had to ride them. The cows in the back paddack provided a taste of farm life and the tantem bike entertained us all.

Inside the Play Station was a welcome bonus after four weeks of travel. The cottage was spacious, had comfortable beds, pillows and sofas. The kitchen had everything you needed and Eve had supplied some local goodies.

We found it easy to get to the attractions we had wnated to see: Lyme Regis, Wales, Cheddar, and Bath.

This place is fantastic. We would all recommend it. Great for families no matter what age your kids.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind comments. Wonderful to meet you and so glad you enjoyed your time with us. Would love to welcome you again.
