Thank you so much Isabel for providing such a clean and well appointed appartment. We all enjoyed our wonderful holiday in Lauterbrunnen and the property was a perfect base for our days out. The children (aged 12 & 10)thoroughly enjoyed ordering and collecting bread from the campsite shop every morning and the appartment was in a perfect location for the village amenities and bus stop to Stechelberg and the railway station. The children particularly enjoyed the ice creams at the Hotel Oberland and the restaurant on the Allmendhubel was our favourite spot of the holiday. We will definitely return. Thank you again. Jane, Duncan and the children.

We have just returned from what has to be the nicest, cleanest, well-equiped holiday rent we have ever stayed in. It was perfect! It is light, airy and tastefully decorated. It has everything you could possibly need. 5The view out of the twin room and the lounge is spectacular, looking up the valley to snow capped mountains. The bus stops right outside and so we hardly drove the car all week, especially as Swiss transport is always reliable and on time!
Isabel, the owner, lives just across the street and could not have been more friendly and helpful. We had problems with the internet but it was our computer playing up- she still tried to help and gave us a bottle of wine!
I heartily recommend this place- it is slightly more than we usually spend but worth every penny!

Beutiful apartment

The apartment was good and well maintained very much, and the owner was helpfull. Although the description of Wifi wireless internet connection is not accurate, you must have a connection wire which i did not have and ended up going to the internet cafe. Otherwise everything was great. I was there with my wife and 2 kids from 5/7 - 10/7. my regards to Isabell.

This was our 2nd trip to Lauterbrunnen, this time with our 10 month old daughter. This apartment was a good choice for us since it had 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen and a washer/dryer. Having a kitchen was nice as dining out in Lauterbrunnen or in the surrounding towns is VERY expensive (There is a small grocery store in town). The advertisement lists the space at 71 m/sq, but it seems larger. The description for the apartment in this ad is accurate. The place is neat, clean and well cared for. The 2nd bedroom is on the small side and had bunk beds, but it was plenty big enough for the crib our daughter used. The master bedroom is quite large and the beds are comfortable. Isabel is a wonderful host who seems to go out of her way to make sure you are having a nice stay. The apartment is located 15 minutes on foot from the train station (80% downhill) or you can ride the bus and get there in ~90 seconds (Fare: 3 francs). The bus stop (Schutzenbach) is located on the road in front of the apartment.

The apartment does have internet access, but its not wireless so make sure you bring your own ethernet cable if you want to use it. And I'm reluctant to call this a complaint as its more of a cultural thing........but it would be nice if the washer and dryer had a set of American-ized instructions. We have run into this before; washing clothes in Europe is much, much different than in the US. My wife and I are pretty smart people, but we were both stumped by all the various features and modes of the 2 machines.

Overall this apartment is a great value, especially if you are traveling with more than 2 people. We would consider staying here again on a return trip to the area.

Fantastic Apt & Location

This apartment is nicely appointed, very clean and in a terrific location in the Lauterbrunnen valley. Ms. Almeida is delightful owner and works across the street from the Apt. She is readily available by phone for any issues that arise. It isa short walk to town and there is a bus stop right outside the apt that can take you to Stechelburg Cable Car. I highly recommend this porperty and location for vacation in the Berner Oberland

This is a wonderful apartment, with a really beautiful view. It was well furnished and well maintained. We had a really good time in Lauterbrunnen, it is an ideal location to set as base and explore the entire Jungfrau region. Thanks again to Isabel who was very kind and helpful!

Lovely Apartment

Review Submitted: June 19, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
This is a great apartment, ideally located for both Wengen and Murren. If you check the bus and train timetables you can be in either resort in about half an hour. Makes a fantastic self drive destination I will definately be coming back. The skiing is superb with fantastic on and off piste, in my opinion superior to Verbier. The apartment itself is very spacious and well equiped/furnished. Lauterbrunnen itself is very quiet but has all the basic facilities you would expect. Very helpful and friendly staff at the adjacent camp site. Would also suit non skiers as trains take you all over the moutains although train tickets seemed to be more expensive than all inclusive lift pass.
