we had a fantastic holiday in this beautiful apartment, it was well equipped clean and luxurious. we found having the pool during the day and the jacuzzi at night very relaxing and peaceful , the local restaurant had easy access with wonderful food, we also enjoyed watching the horse riding and tennis. We hope to come back and have also recommended this apartment to some friends for the golf resort and lovely views

We are delighted that you enjoyed our apartment. We hadn't thought of it in those terms - pool for the day, hot tub at night!!!!

Many thanks for taking the time to write a review and for recommending us to your friends.

We spent a lovely week in this fantastic luxury apartment which certainly met with all our expectations. The panoramic views from the massive balcony are simply stunning, especally if you are chilling out in the full sized hot tub.

Denia itself is a few minutes away by car and has a variety of restaurants to meet everyones tastes. Althought I didn't get a chance to play at the nearby La Sella Golf course, it will be on my list to do when I return.

We did take a trip to the lovely city of Valencia which was a 50 minute drive, but well worth it.

I would highly recommend Denia as a holiday destination and this superb apartment would be my first choice as a place to stay.
Owner's Response: Denia is a lovely town isn't it? We find that it is busy and bustles with life all year round.

Many thanks for such a lovely review about the apartment.

Perhaps you can enjoy a game of golf next time you are there - several clients have said that La Sella is one of the most beautiful courses they have ever played. By the way - the extra nine holes are nearly complete so all 27 should keep you busy!!!

Many thanks again for booking with us.

My recent holiday in Denia

Review Submitted: September 1, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We have just returned from our stay at this appartment and I can honestly say this has to be the nicest appartment we have ever stayed in on holiday. The views were wonderful and the hot tub a real bonus. The pool area was clean and very private. The only drawback is you do need a car as you are a little way away from the towns. I would reccommend this property to friends and family and really liked this part of Spain. I think Javea is the nicest place we visisted, also Altea was lovely too. From the moment we enquired about the property on the internet the owner has been great. offering advice and great service throughout. A great choice.
Owner's Response: Hi Vanessa and David,
The views are amazing aren't they - I particularly like it at night with the twinkling lights!
We welcome reviews about the apartment as it helps us to improve our service - thank you for taking the time to do it. Your advice about needing a car will help other clients I'm sure.
It sounds like you got out and about - there is so much in the area to do, we find something new each time we go!
Well - thanks for booking with us, we hope to see you again,

Best wishes

Las Mimosas Pent House review

Nautique Bisley, Gloucestershire
Review Submitted: August 31, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Las Mimosas needed to cater for 3 generations of our family with an age range of 11 to 79, with 6 of us enjoying the vacation! The property was accurately described with excellent facilities throughout and the apartment was wonderfully appointed benefiting from everything that one could possibly need even down to a fine selection of books, music and DVD's.The owners clearly allow their clients to benefit from their own home comforts which is really nice. Inevitably the unexpected can happen and when we had a problem with the dishwasher a maintenance guy visited us the following day which did not inconvenience us in the slightest. We all had a fabulous time in beautiful surroundings which catered perfectly for all our needs - thank you very much!!
Owner's Response: We are so glad that all 3 generations enjoyed it! The area has something for everyone and our hope is that all of our guests feel that Mimosas is their home-from-home during their stay.
Thank you for your patience with the dishwasher - unfortunately things can go wrong and we do try our utmost to get repairs done as quickly as possible.
We look forward to seeing you again and thank you for taking the time to write your review.

Fantastic holiday had by all!

My husband, myself, my son(12), my daughter(5), mum, dad and sister have just had one of the best holidays ever! This penthouse apartment is superior accommodation to say the least and we enjoyed every second there. The apartment has amazing views of the coast and the mountains and the very, very large terrace with the jacuzzi was the icing on the cake. All bedrooms very spacious with one very large ensuite and a family bathroom also. Decor throughout is very modern and very tasteful - a home from home definitely - but in my opinion, would say this is a notch above the rest. We have stayed in some lovely hotels and villas before but this is most definitely in our top three! Kerry (who was our contact while we stayed there) was on-call at any time for queries, etc. and I had to phone/text a couple of times to check directions etc. and was very helpful and attentive. The property was very clean when we arrived and the jacuzzi was cleaned mid-week also. I would recommend this property without hesitation to any of my friends and we will definitely be going back to Las Mimosas ourselves. Plenty of space for families with young children and teenagers but could also see myself and my girfriends heading here for a few days of pampering and fun. Denia is much bigger than I expected and you definitely need a car to get around for sight-seeing. It took a couple of days to get to know the route in and out of the town at the start but after that no problems. Plenty of "touristy" shops with usual items for sale (which the kids loved) but also some lovely clothes shops/boutiques. The Monday market was very good for bargains - although you have to haggle. The "night" market in the town every evening is also very good. We had been recommended a few restaurants to eat in and were impressed the most with Giramondo (5 minutes from the apartment) although service was slightly slow (it was very busy on the two occasions we went), the food was excellent. We all enjoyed the "Denia Wok" which is an all-you-can-eat buffet chinese restaurant for €9.95 pp. We visited here twice. The food was excellent and the chefs cooked your main course in front of you. I can't fault the weather either. We expected to see temperatures in the high 20's but it was actually mid-to-high 30's when we were there first week in August. Beautiful weather just made it for us. Jane and Calvin, thank you so very much for an amazing holiday experience. We will definitely be back. x
Owner's Response: Hi Joanne and family,

We are so glad that you had a lovely time - sounds like you travelled around and saw a bit too. Denia is a lovely town - perhaps on another trip you could see a little of bit of Javea and Moraira.
Also glad that both adults and children enjoyed themselves - its difficult to get the right mix for all but it seems that it worked for you.
Many thanks for taking the time to do a lovely review and also for booking with us - we would, of course, love to see you again.
Best wishes

Review of 5* Luxury penthouse on La Sella Golf

jackthelad Sussex, UK
Review Submitted: August 3, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
The property was definitely luxurious. Our party of 7 - 4 adults and 3 children had plenty of space and were extremely comfortable. The facilities were of an exceptional standard and the decor impeccable - very clean and very well maintained. The property has a very large balcony including a hot tub - perfect at night time for gazing at the stars! In addition the views from the balcony are stunning - mountains, palm trees, the sea. Photos do not do the panorama justice!

There are superb tennis and golf facilities very close to the property. There is also a riding stables. There are also some very useful local shops and an excellent pizza restaurant! The beach in Denia is only 10 mins drive away.

There is a lovely pool in the grounds of the apartment, and we often had the pool to ourselves - the immediate surroundings are green and lush.

The owner provided excellent customer service and I would strongly recommend the property to a friend.

The owner provided excellent customer service and I would strongly recommend the property to a friend. I just hope there is availability at the property when I want to go next year. I would imagine that this property will be snapped up!
Owner's Response: We are glad that you enjoyed your holiday and took full use of the tennis, golf and riding facilities. I understand that the boys just walked down to the tennis!
You would be very welcome back again - and don't forget we offer a 10% discount to returning guests.
Many thanks for taking the time to write such a lovely review.

A long weekend in Spain

Professor Lightweight West Sussex
Review Submitted: February 9, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2008
We went for a long weekend to stay in 'Las Mimosas' which is about a 10 minute drive outside Denia on the Costa Blanca. The top-floor apartment (don't worry - there is a full sized lift) is positioned on the side of a hill with wonderful views directly towards the coast and has 3 good sized bedrooms, an enormous private roof terrace and a large communal pool in the gardens. It is far enough from town for some peace and quiet, but close enough to benefit from all the amenities that Denia offers. Mount Montgo and the La Sella Golf Course are away to the right - there is a Hotel with a Spa at the golf course which has 18 holes over 6595 yards. The course has plenty of character with mature trees, lots of variety and stunning views all around. The Golf course has a bar/restaurant with cold beer and well-priced food for after your round of golf.
The nearest airport to Denia is Alicante which is a fair drive along the highway so a hire car is absolutely essential if you want to realise the full potential of staying at this apartment. Alicante is in one direction down the coast while Valancia is about one hour in the opposite direction. If you enjoy an excess of nightlife, Benidiorm is between Denia and Alicante, although there are several nightclubs and lots of cabs in Denia so you don’t need to travel very far for a night out. Valancia, with its mixture of contemporary architecture and old-world charm is an absolute must for a visit while you are staying at Las Mimosas. There is a small shop within a 5 minute walk, so you can buy essentials like milk and bread around the corner, although we did most of our shopping in the good size supermarkets in Denia itself.
Denia is a charming town - not a manufactured destination like so much of the Costa-del-Sol, but a thriving local town full of character with restaurants to suit any size of wallet and preferred cuisine. Las Mimosas has an well fitted kitchen with all the usual appliances you'd expect, but we chose to eat out every night. (Even though we were there for 5 nights, there are still a huge number of restaurants left for us to try on our next visit.) Since Denia has a thriving fishing harbour, fresh fish is always on the menu alongside the usual meat dishes. (No one in our party was a vegetarian so I can't comment on vegetarian options in the local restaurants.) All told, I am very happy to thoroughly recommend Las Mimosas, but you will need a car to get the best out of your visit.
Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review - you've captured just about all of the elements about the area that we love.

Just wanted to clarify to any future guests that it isn't a roof terrace - but we are the penthouse apartment and therefore the top terrace. As you say - great views.

Really pleased to hear that you used the cabs to get in and out of Denia - we've used them and they are good value - makes a change from having a nominated driver.

Well - thanks again for taking the time to review. Hope to see you again.

Accomodation with the WOW factor

Sid1967 Hove, East Sussex
Review Submitted: February 5, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2008
I've holidayed in Europe many time over the years, but never stayed in self catering accommodation that offers as much value for money as this. As advertised, the accommodation quality is truly exceptional and from the moment you enter the apartment you really do feel as though you are in a homely environment. Locally the buildings facilities, especially the pool, are maintained to a high standard. On arrival we were greeted by a rep. who was a real star - we immediately received explanations for all facilities available and made to feel as though nothing was too much trouble. We did unfortunately lock ourselves out during the stay and this was dealt with in a quick and understanding manner. For those sporty people into tennis and golf I would recommend that you take advantage of the wonderful La Sella tennis (walking distance) and golf (about 5 mins drive) clubs - both offer good facilities - however I would recommend booking golf tee times in advance. The beaches of Denia and Javea are easily accessible (for drivers), clean and offer all in the way of amenities. The local restaurants in Denia and Javea offer good food at reasonable prices. If you are unlucky to have the odd duff weather day during your stay then there is plenty of entertainment available at the newly opened shopping/entertainment mall (about 2 miles away) - we used the bowling alley and had a great time. For those who are prepared to travel a little further the location offers a good base for travelling north to Valencia and south to Benidorm (there is a good water park here). It is however worth mentioning that if you have very young children they will need supervising if they venture out onto the patio area.
In summary, a highly recommended self catering apartment for those wishing to enjoy the delights of Costa Blanca.
Owner's Response: Wow! - many thanks for such a lovely and comprehensive review. We are delighted that you enjoyed our property and that you found the local facilities of La Sella so good. We are also very pleased that you found our agent so welcoming and helpful (especially when you were locked out! - what a pain that must have been).

There are some lovely things to do in the Denia area and slightly further afield - we're glad that you took up some of our recommendations - you have even tried things we haven't (water park and bowling alley).

Many thanks. We hope to see you again,
Best wishes
