Excellent appartment (and hosts) - ideal location

jlh66 Rogerstone, South Wales
Review Submitted: November 24, 2009 Date of Stay: November 2009
We recently had the pleasure of spending a week at the "Minnie" apartment and would highly recommend it to anyone (especially if you are planning on visiting EuroDisney).
The apartment is very modern and extremely clean (the hosts even offer the use of their game station and several games). The kitchen facilities are ideal, and the living area is very comfortable.
The apartment is situated in a very quiet residential area with its own parking space. The building is extremely secure (with electronic access to both the outer and inner doors).
The Disney parks are a 1.5 mile drive (very simple to find as you can see them through the bedroom windows) and the Val D'Europe shopping complex is a 2 minute walk in the opposite direction.
We followed the advice offered in the guest book and used the Disney Village multi storey car park (as apposed to the main Disney car Park). It costs the same (€8 per full day in Nov'09), but this car park is located right outside the park gates (so cuts down on the long walk back to the car at the end of the day!!)
We also made use of the RER to travel in to Paris for a day. The station is just around the corner from the apartment, and takes 35 minutes to travel to central Paris. Ideal for a break from Disney.
The utilities were lower than we expected (though it was not very cold and we were out for most of the day). We paid a combined €20 for water, gas & electricity.

I can only state again that both the apartment and the hosts are excellent. Well worth a visit.

Perfect location for Disneyland Paris

Review Submitted: October 31, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
Stayed in this apartment for the October half term and having previously stayed in a Disney Hotel thought I'd try the self catering option! Easy person to deal with via e-mail (thanks Jeanne!) and who met us on arrival as agreed. The actual apartment was very clean and modern, Jeanne was on hand for 30-40 minutes to guide us through everything and to sort out the deposit (300 euros), and explain the heating, water and optional cleaning bill and also left a nice welcoming gift!

The apartment is a 400 metre walk from the Val d'europe train station which is 1 stop from disney, tickets for me, my wife and 3 children came to about 10 euros a day which I thought was easier than driving and parking. A huge shopping centre including a supermarket is also a 5 minute walk from the apartment.

The apartment was absolutely spot on as described and also included a private allocated parking spot, the kids loved the comfortable beds and made use of the DVD and Xbox, the TV only had 2 english speaking channels so you may wish to bring your own DVD's. The kitchen had all the utensils required and the washing machine and drier came in useful

On leaving Jeanne was around at the time agreed and in 10 mins we were on our way, the heating and water was only about 10 euros for the whole stay. I would throughly recommend this aprtment as the price is competitve and as well as being ideally located it was very clean tidy and homely and made for a great weeks stay. It was so close you can actually see Disneyland Studios from the building!

Minus points, a couple more towels would be useful but we really had a faboulous time and the host was very helpful and assuring and left a mobile to be contacted if required. For a family of 5-6 it was perfect, thanks Jeanne!

Great apartment, great location.

Review Submitted: September 17, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We were 4 adults (parents & grandparents) & 2 children. We slept 4 of us in the bunkbed room & grandparents in their own room. The apartment was perfect for us as we had bought Annual passes for Disney, allowing us entry 2 hours early (at 8.00 a.m), & the RER station was so close that it gave us the flexibility to leave the apartment at different times (ie grandparents could have a lie in & meet us later) while we went by car.
We loved the garden in the summer as we could sit outside & eat while the kids ran around.
Everything was clean & new looking & the kitchen has everything you could need, including a large fridge/freezer which you often don't get.
I was really pleased to find a tumble drier as well as a washing machine, as I had thought there would only be a clothes horse.
The Auchan hypermarket was a very short walk & was so huge it had everything you needed. With Disney food prices, this saved us a fortune.
Jeanne was very nice & efficient, so none of the extra costs were a surprise.
I had spent hours/days on the internet finding this apartment as we wanted outdoor space & I couldn't find another one so close to the RER/hypermarket with that.
I tried to book this apartment again for October half term, but it was already booked so we are trying the other apartment owned by Jeanne & Eric.
Thank you Jeanne for a fantastic stay & see you again soon!

Had a very enjoyable stay at this apartment. Jeanne was very nice and communicated very well. The apartment was clean and tidy. Ideal for travel to Disneyland and Paris via the RER which is 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The Val D'Europe shopping centre was also very close and convenient for any shopping you need. Disneyland 1 stop on the RER. We went to Paris on the RER which took about 50 mins. If you want to do any sightseeing we found it a lot easier by getting a boat on the Seine and hopping on and off at the 8 stops to view the main attractions.
I would definitely return in the future and would recommend this property to any one.
Many thanks
David and Mary

Disneyland Paris - one stop on the metro

Alph UK
Review Submitted: June 10, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We were a party of two families (each with one child under 5 years). The apartment location was great - only one stop on the RER, and the RER station was just around the corner. A huge shopping centre (containing a huge supermarket) and restaurants were also just around the corner.

We chose to rent a private apartment (off the Disney complex) to keep down the cost (the cost for the three of us to stay in a Disney hotel was £1,500 for 4 nights (incl. flights, tickets, etc.)). At 100 Euro per night (split between two families) this arrangement worked out far less expensive for us.

The two-bedrromed apartment was lovely. It was clean and tidy. It had many facilities including a microwave and a hairdryer (and a kettle which is unusual in France I think). There was a playstation, a DVD player, and a nice flat screen TV (though could only get one English speaking channel, CNN). The toilet was separate from the bathroom which made it more convenient for us with two families. We slept three in each room. Our room was a little short on space as, for our 2 year old, we had an extra bed added (without this it'd have been just right). The other bedroom was spacious as it contained a double bed, with a single bunk above.

The living, dining, kitchen area is all one. It isn't spacious but was comfortable, with a sofa and dining table, and did for us for the number of evenings we spent there.

On arrival we submitted a 300 Euro bond (which we knew about beforehand) and this was returned to us on departure without problem. Additional costs also included 16 Euro for towels and bedding for two families, and 10 Euro for our personal usage of electricity and water.

I would definitely recommend this apartment for those who wish to do Disneyland Paris without the inflated expense of a Disney hotel. It is comfortable, clean and has all the facilities needed. It is also a great location. So, in terms of value for money, this certainly hit the mark. The apartment owner was very courtious and had an efficient process for getting you checked in, and out the apartment and sorting all the relevant paperwork. No hidden costs as you have a copy of your rental contract beforehand (which you are asked to sign when you arrive).

Owner's Response: It is a pleasure for us that you have spent a good holidays in our apartment of renting by Disneyland Paris.
We thank you for your information for our future tenants.
To soon,

We found the accomodation to be perfectly situated especially in order for us to visit Disneyland. It was also very conveniently situated within 3 minutes walk to the station and 5 minutes walk to the shopping centre. The accomodation was very clean and all the appliances were a very good quality and a pleasure to use. We found the owner Jean to be very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this accomodation.

Good clean apartment, close to Disney

Review Submitted: October 7, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
We stayed in Apartment Minnie mid August for a week. The apartment was big enough for 4 adults and 1 child and so close to Disney. Everything was easy to find and the shops and RER were within a 2 minute walk.

We were aware of the extra charges (cleaning and electricity) before arriving due to Jeanne sending out the contract and answering all questions we asked, thereofre we allowed extra for this.

I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family. Thank you Jeanne for the flowers, cheese and colouring sheets for our daughter.

Review Submitted: October 1, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
EXTRAORDINARY RENTING, we are indeed happy of can have rented this renting so perfect. The unique setting placed rightly to quoted of the hotels 3 stars, and of the shopping malls, bus subway. The garden is magnificent, the very comfortable apartment equipped with really luxurious materials. All was very quiet without noise, reads them superconfortables. Small trick by subway: to go doesn't have disney nearly need to walk, can - to be maximum 50 meters, with the small children it to been indeed convenient. Only one thing to say, we have reserve the apartment already once again for 2009, before in 2006 we had rent another apartment that was not to him so well and dear in relation to the facilities. There, we have find the best, that will be the address of all our friends and family. Jeanne again thank you for your cordial welcome and all your small advice for Disney. Thank you for your flowers and your specialty of the brie (cheese). To trés soon. Gill and Noan.

Happy birthday Luke

Review Submitted: September 28, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
Very beautiful apartment. We are happy to have spent 1 week in the apartment "Minnie". The apartment is very clean. We returned it so clean as we found it. The cost of the electricity was cheap. The apartment is close to the station and to the shopping center. We were going to buy our food by walking. No need a car. The residence is quiet. We hear the train of Disney. It was great ! The children liked it. Luke blew his 8 candles. Thank you for your advice. Goodbye.
