A really great place, with lovely private gardens and a fantastic pool for kids to play. Our daughter made lots of friends around the pool and didn't want to do much else!

The villa was good, and very private with a good loacation and nice patio!

Well worth a visit

Jardines de Nerja

Review Submitted: August 17, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We had a fantastic holiday in Nerja. The villa was a beautiful place to return to after a day at the beach. We loved the roof terrace and patio area. The rooms were well presented, clean and cool. The pool was quiet and pleasant. Our only reservation was the distance to the central tourist area as we had to drive but would have liked to be near enough to walk and have a drink at the many restaurants.
Owner's Response: Delighted you had such a good time. Many guests enjoy the 20 minute walk into town. We tend to walk into town and get the bus (1 Euro) or a taxi (6 Euro) home after a night out

Very nice, well kept housing estate, very nice large pool.
Our house was clean, well looked after and all necessary
things were there. We felt really at home and enjoyed coming back to it after our sightseeing trips to Malaga, Granada, Sevilla, Ronda etc.
It is good to use the car to go to the beaches and into Nerja city which is a nice town. Usually parking space is
available.

Excellent villa, excellent holiday

My husband and I spent a very lazy week at this great villa. It has everything you need for a holiday, a real home from home. The kitchen is fully stocked with equipment and the roof terrace is a great place to spend hours reading on the sun lounger and taking in the views. A very short drive into the old town is definitely worth a visit with a great selection of bars and restaurants for all budgets. The local beach also has everything you need with restaurants and toilets/changing facilities.

We will hopefully be going back sometime soon!

Third time in Nerja but first time at this villa - it was great and provided everything we needed for a nice relaxing holiday; felt at home right away. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Small, well maintained development with lovely gardens, swimming pool and separate children's pool.

We enjoyed the walk up and down to the beach/Nerja centre/Maro but if you don't like walking, or aren't too fit, then the local bus stops outside the development and takes you right into the centre of Nerja - great value for 1 Euro.

Families with young children would probably be better hiring a car - a bit of a trawl for young children up and down to the beach/town etc.

A great holiday, sad to leave, hope to return in the future. Delighted to recommend this villa/location to anyone thinking about going to Nerja. Nerja is a lovely, unspoilt Spanish town - hope it stays that way!

We have stayed at this villa for the past 6 years and have enjoyed each visit. It is clean, fully equipped and situated in very quiet and peaceful gardens with a nice swimming pool. The location is very convenient for sea, town and shops.A bus stops outside which takes you to Nerja town where there are lots of nice shops and restaurants to suit most tastes and pockets. The customer service provided by the owner has always been excellent. We have no hesitation in recommending this villa.

After a 40min drive from Malaga airport, we arrived. The Villa was exactly as I had hoped, clean, homely and with stunning views of the sea from the sun terrace. Set within beautiful grounds there are two supermarkets located nearby to stock up and a pool to cool you down after a day enjoying the sun. Nerja town centre is a 10 min walk away, with a number of pretty sandy beaches, good shops and an overwhelming amount of great restaurants. The local area also offers some great day trips such as the amazing caves of Nerja (just on the outskirts of the town), Lake Vinuela, Granada with the glorious Alhambra Palace, and the delightful little town of Frigiliana. We had the most relaxing time sitting in our garden looking out at the sunset each day before venturing into town for a delicious meal near the Balcon de Europa. I would highly recommend this villa and I am certain we will return again very soon.

Great villa

Review Submitted: August 27, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
Clean, well-presented villa set in beautiful communal gardens. Pool was fabulous! Kitchen could be better equipped (no wooden spoon? no tongs?) but that's a minor gripe. The buckets and spades etc were a real bonus to find and we used the tennis rackets for a game at the club by Supersol. Some board games would be a really useful addition.

Nerja is a wonderful place to visit and the beaches are excellent for children. We made some visits to the out of town locations recommended by the owner which were great, although some more detailed directions would have saved us a lot of wrong turnings!

I would say if your children are small that you would definitely need a car to reach the beach.

Overall, a wonderful villa and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends.
Owner's Response: Janet - I am pleased you enjoyed your stay. Some more bits and pieces for the kitchen are on their way!

Lovely Nerja!

wonderful villa on a beautifully planted development, sea views and complete privacy on both the patio and roof terrace despite being a terraced property.
nerja is a great town from which to explore both the coast line and the many gorgeous hillside villages. malaga (picasso museum.....fab!) and granada are an easy drive and the alhambra is a vey worthwhile daytrip, you can take the tourist sightseeing bus from outside the alhambra for a quick tour of the city which saves driving into the cente and parking again too.
lots of excellent beach restaurants around nerja serving barbecued fish help make a great evening out, altogether one of the best all round holidays we've had, thank you for providing such a delightful property. carrie and tim.
