Great Chalet, Perfect Location

Graeme & Kathryn Newcastle
Review Submitted: November 4, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
Great off-season week in this lovely, cosy yet spacious chalet. Very well equipped with quality comfortable furnishings and lots of entertainment options. Very efficient heating and a great wood burner. Perfect position for sporting club and town centre, with lovely sunny garden and patio area. Strongly recommend the accommodation and the town is a great place to stay on or off season. Those skiers used to being crammed into pokey french ski apartments will find this a revelation, and only the shortest of drives to the cable car (accessing over 400km pistes)! Thanks Again

Lovely holiday house

We spent a lovely week in St. Gervais. The house was great with a nice family feel, plenty of space and the kids loved the garden. We could walk to the shops, the tennis courts and swimming pool without the children complaining about how far it was, which was a huge plus. There is a lovely park in town with a merry-go-round which entertained the children no end. We even went to see an ice-hockey match! We are planning to go again next Summer, but would also like to try the place out in the ski season. Would recomment the house for anybody with or without children.

Good chalet, nicely appointed and in a central position.Attention to detail eg.,having all lights working was our only observation, otherwise we had a great time with enough space and a well equipped kitchen to make our stay a memorable one.We will return....
#suggestions:- ironed sheets would give a better first impression and dust under the beds.Undersheets were badly stained and should have been changed.

Alex was always at the end of the telephone ready to answer any queries, but even without that facility, the website tells you all you need to know and has a good selection of photographs.
The house is beautiful - clean, modern and well-equipped. The under-floor heating is an added bonus.
It's situated within walking distance of the main village and we never used the car in the evening. St Gervais has plenty of restaurants to suit all tastes. I think I've tried them all! The skiiing suits us perfectly too. We've been to St Gervais three times and would definitely stay at Alex's house again.
