We had a fantastic time, great apartment with stunning views of the beach, sea and old Pomorie. The fact that we stayed in a 5-star complex made it all worthwhile. The staff were attentive, friendly and willing to please. Your location is superb, and as the rest of the resort becomes available for use the pictures you should place on the website should be of all the other facilities and buildings.

Great holiday at Sunset Resort

James and Diana Cornwall, UK
Review Submitted: August 27, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We had a very nice time at Sunset Resort. The apartment is excellent with a fantastic sea view. The balcony is small but from the apartment itself you will have great views. The kitchen is quite well equipped (maybe some more cutleries would be helpful) and the rest of the apartment is comfortable.

The resort is very luxurious. There are 4 different pools one with slides for children. The beach is very nearby. Both the beach and sea were very clean and quite safe for children. The resort is very large and busy. There are a large number of German and Bulgarian tourists however we found there were quite a few English, Irish, Dutch, Russian and French as well. There was a kids club and animation but quite German orientated. My kids liked the club and were able to communicate with the girls running the club in English. We only ate once in the resort itself as the prices are not cheap and very comparable to those in West-North and Southern European countries. There are quite a lot of good restaurants with English translated menus just outside Sunset Resort. They are much cheaper. The resort also has a tenpin bowling hall, ping pong table (take your own bats), playground and painting ceramic for children.

The town of Puerile is too far to walk but there is a bus station nearby. It is quite a nice town with mainly Bulgarian tourists. Take a visit to the monastery up the road. Really nice) The reception staff in the Delta Apartment block are friendly but don't seem to know much about the local area or even the resort. The Sigma hotel reception seems better trained. There are some very small supermarkets nearby, however if you got a car it is only 10 minutes to a very large Carrefour supermarket in Burgas. Here you can get products cheaper and there is more choice, however buy your fruit and vegetables from the stalls outside the resort. They are delicious and cheap.

If you want to see more than the resort, Nesebar or Solzepol we would recommend to hire a car and to read up before arrival as the resort has little information. Places of interest to us were, Poda Conservation Area, Bourgas, Tzarevo, river area and national parks near Primorsko.

Overall we had a lovely relaxing holiday at the Sunset Resort. If you are looking for a quite location in high season then this maybe is not the place, however to combine Sunset Resort with another stay in a quite area as we did is an alternative.
We hope to be back in Bulgaria and Sunset Resort.

Luxury holidays for a reasonable price

Simca Ceska Lipa / Czech Republic
Review Submitted: August 25, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We spent a very nice week in July 2009 there. The resort is really fantastic :modern and elegant hotel-buildings,large pools, well maintained and fresh green vegetation with a lot of well odorous trees, flowers and bushes, nice beach, clean and warm sea, everywhere cleanness,...The apartment is situated very well on the 4th floor in Delta II.It is noiseless (it is good for families with small childern) but all entertaiments are near. You can find there all conveniences like washing-machine, dishwasher, microwave-oven, LCD TV with DVD player, CD/radio player, etc., even toys for childern...The flat is very large, tastefully furnished, with nice pictures as well. The benefit is also the spacious bathroom. There are 2 ACs - the first in the hall and the second in the main bedroom, only the small bedroom hasn ´t any, you have to keep the door open. There is also a quite small balcony with a table and two chairs, but the sea-view is fantastic. If you give priority to self-catering ( like me), there are more small shopps with primary merchandise. Close to the resort are also some restaurants.
The owner is very nice and he is willing to help you when you need more informations.

Nice apartment in big but good complex

PIS Norway
Review Submitted: June 6, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We stayed in this apartment for one week in the end of May until the beginning of June. The complex was not totally opened (some resturants and pools was closed) but there where quiet and a lot of space in the area.

PLUS:
Near Burgas airport (10 min by car)
Not typical tourist area (like Sunny Beach)
Near Bulgarian town (Pomoire)
Bulgarian restaurants, small shops (food and fruit and other things you need from day to day) in walking distance with low price level. But no shopping centre or typical tourist shops.
Internet club (cafe) you can find if you follow the beach 500 meter towards Pomoire
Playground for kids at the southern part of the complex (near the beach)
The complex have great pools and a big beach.
The apartment was clean and big.

MINUS:
The receipition of the hotel have very little knowledge about the area outside the complex (no maps, no info, do not know much)
No internet connection in the complex
Not very many shops near the complex
Expensive taxi from airport to complex (about 27euro for 10km). It is cheaper to order transportation from the hotel.
Playground was a bit too distant. Not in sight area.
Owner's Response: I've checked with the Resort and been told there is internet access as usual at reception in Buildings Sigma and Eta although the coffee shop in Delta didn't open until early June so I'm not sure if this was just a misunderstanding.

Re the Taxi I've been cheated before when quoted a price which I've assumed to be in Leva and then charged in Euros! The Resort charge 28.5 Leva for a 1 way taxi transfer which is equivalent to about 15 euros. If you don't book a transfer always agree a price in LEVA before you get in.

There is a folder in the Apartment which contains local information and excursions can be booked at Reception.
