Fantastic Location in superb residential area

Review Submitted: July 16, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We had a smashing holiday staying at Aldea Blanca. The apartment was spotless and the decor fresh,it felt like home, photo's didn't do it justice. We used both outdoor patio areas, at different times of the day and we also had a small sea view to Gibraltar. All facilities were convenient, supermarket, drycleaners and loads of restaurants. The landscaping within the development was superb, with mature palms and trees to provide shade if required, but also large areas of lawn for sunbathing around the pool(never crowded). The pools were outstanding with a lifegaurd in attendance daily until 7pm, and maintained to a very high standard, obviously all the residents take great pride in their environment and made us feel very welcome. Terry, the owner was exceptionally helpful, all enquiries were dealt with fully and promptly via email, also our Spanish contact, Alex, at the apartment was very helpful. We had a very lazy stay during our week in Peurto Banus, but we did manage to drive to Gibraltar, which only took approx an hour(remember your passport), and we also fully enjoyed the delights of the Port and all the great shopping opportunities presented to us!!
We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this outstanding apartment to all our friends and relatives and would love to return.

Family Holiday

Review Submitted: October 23, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
I stayed in the apartment from 14th-21st October 2009 - It was a last minute booking and I stayed with my husband, and his parents. We hired a car and after a couple of attempts, our sat nav accepted the address and we had no trouble in finding the complex. I sought out Alex in the office and within 10 minutes of arriving, we were unpacking! The apartment was everything we needed and was comfortable and clean. The kitchen was very well equipped and we replaced the items we used and left a couple of other bits and bobs for the next people! The weather for October was fantastic and we had a full day by the pool where we took the sunbeds down and chilled out - another family with children were by the pool and apart from the odd couple coming for a dip (I assume these were people who lived in the complex) we didn't see anyone else! We took the advice in the guest book and went to the local market on the Saturday morning, I bought a trinket box for 12 euros that I had seen in a shop on the harbour for 45 euros so well worth a look! We had a trip to Gibraltar too and snapped up some bargains!
The fact that each bedroom has an ensuite was a complete bonus and the showers were really good compared to the standard in other apartments.
The two terraces were also a real bonus - the back terrace is very private and we ate dinner out there a couple of times and used the barbecue.
The front terrace is a real sun trap, and perfect for enjoying the early evening sun.
We walked into town twice and downhill on the way out is good and a few drinks see you back up the hill! It's only 5 minutes in a cab though so no one in the party needs to drive! The local plaza is a 5 minute walk and very enjoyable for a relaxing drink.
We ran out of gas on the day before we left and Alex had the gas changed within 10 minutes.
I have visited Peurto Banus 4 times in the past on various girly holidays, and will no doubt visit on more occasions in the future! I wouldn't inflict the full group of us in the residents in Aldea Blanca but if ever I visit with family, or my more reserved friends, I would definately look to stay here again.
A real home from home - with Spanish Sunshine! Thank you!
Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind review. We are pleased that Alex who looks after our apartment was able to help you promptly with the replacement gas bottle. The weather in October has been great. One of the best months to relax and expore. Or just chill out by the pool..Even as I write on the 28th of the month the temps remain in the middle 20s (25 at noon today) and clear blue skys.
Best wishes Terry & Sheena

We were surprised by the location and atmosphere of the appartment. A well maitained green, garden-like parc right next to Pt. Banus and Marbella. In the direct area you can find good shopping and groceries. Even a market on saturday. The beach is beautifull and within 3 km.
The appartment has two really nice garden/patios. We had dinner and bbq and sat in our patio till 11 at night. The inside of the place has everything you need. They even have toys for the kids to play with on the beach. And all towels and linnen are available. The pools in the garden of the parc are fantastic. With spacious lawns and quiet places to sit. What might be nice is a real queen or kingsize bed including a double size blanket. And the kitchen can use an update.
This is really a place I do recommend.
Owner's Response: Dear Vinnie
Thank you for your review of our apartment. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. And your comments about the beautiful gardens and relaxing atmosphere of Aldea Blanca.

Beds. We note your comments but point out that we advetise our apartment with twin beds in both bedrooms rooms. The reason for twin beds is that we often let to Male Golfers some of whom are not keen to sleep in a doube bed together! particulary if they have had a bad round! If you visit again we will see the twins are put together and made up as a double bed with a large blankets.
Best wishes Terry & Sheena

Superb apartment and 5 star owner

We stayed here 28/9 - 5/10 for the first time. We have been to Puerto Banus before, but not in this area.
The apartment was excellent, comfortable and in a great location. The information provided by Terry was top notch, lots of practical advice, maps and hints. In the apartment there was also a guest book, with hints and tips from previous guests - all worth reading.
The apartment is in a beautiful complex, photographic gardens and 4 great pools. We found 3 complexes with bars and restaurants, none of which disappinted us. Prices were good, ambience excellent and people-watching a joy!
The port is a good 15-20 minute walk (downhill to it). The port is fairly dear, but you pick your location and price to suit. The beaches are worth visiting, with the usual horde of beach sellers for haggling with if you want. The port is worth a Google before you go, it is worth seeing for the sumptuous yachts. We went to Marbella on the Fly Blue catamaran, well worth the cost for the scenery and arriving in another smart port by water.
We ran out of gas during the caretaker's "off" day, so sent him a text and backed it up with an email to Terry. Within a couple of hours we had 2 new gas bottles, one from the caretaker and one delivered by Terry, who called in for a chat - a very nice person to rent from!
Wi-fi is free by the caretakers office, but we could also access it from the apartment's terrace.
We don't drive in Spain, so took a bus from Malaga airport (4.30 euros each), then a bus from Malaga bus station to Puerto Banus (1.15 euros each), then walked up the hill. But, the caretaker can arrange a taxi from his relative at better rates than the taxi ranks.
All in all, a place to come back to, as we shall!

Super Vacances à ALDEA BLANCA - ANDALOUSIE

M-C Rennes en FRANCE
Review Submitted: August 27, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Bonjour,

I brought my mum here for a birthday treat and we were both totally blown away. The apartment is so spacious, immaculate, and with all the facilities you need! There are baths and showers in both bathrooms which look brand new, and soooo much storage for all your clothes! It is a really nice and comfortable place we felt totally at home. I don't usually go back to the same place twice, but I will definately be back here again, and SOON!!!

We have stayed at this apartment 3 times and will continue to return. The whole area is wonderful and this apartment in particular is in a great location in the complex whether you are with or without kids.
It's very clean and has everything you need to help you carry on as if you were at home. The whole place is a good size, including the bedrooms, bathrooms and outside eating/sitting area (there's two patios......).
As for the complex, the pool area is one of the nicest you could imagine; it's safe, very clean, quiet, near local shops and the town centre.

Generally, its just a great place to stay at, we love it and will return again I am sure.

Wonderful holiday

What a lovely apartment! On arrival it was clear to see that everwhere, even outside was spotless.

The apartment is spacious and very well equipped - infact home from home.

Perfectly located for Puerto Banus nightlife, or, just along the road many good restaurants and bars, or if you prefer, you have a brilliant terrace to have a barbeque and a glass of wine - aaah heaven.

Saturday morning was spent at the huge market which is just down the road and then on to El Corte Ingles - shoppers paradise.

Also a good base for getting out to places like Ronda, Sierra de las Nieves and other areas inland which present a contrast to the Coast.

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to others.
