My Families stay in June 2008

Sandy and Sue Peterborough, Cambs, UK
Review Submitted: July 2, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
We took the whole villa as there was 16 plus one baby.
We consisted of three families, 2 daughters and 1 son with their partners and kids. Plus me and my wife.
The whole two weeks was spend in total relaxation!!
The shops, including a fantastic bakery, is just at the top of the road. A bus stop is also there. I found that having lived in Malta before, I didn't need the use of a car as the buses are much more fun. AND CHEAP!!!
I can't praise the villa more highly, and having spoken with the owner she informs me that during the winter of 2008/9 they are going to do a total refurb job. (Not that it needs it, but it will be even more value for money).
I won't go on about the accommodation, just look at the pictures on the web site, the camera doesn't lie!!!
I hope that this is of some use to someone thinking of booking. Take it from me you won't be disappointed.
Thank you once again Antionette for a fantastic stay.

Ringway villa review

HGRGSW Worcester, UK
Review Submitted: November 15, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We were a group of 12 adults in Malta for a family wedding. We took over the whole of Ringway Villa, which was an ideal base for us. The apartments were all very well equipped and beautifully clean. Although it was the end of October, the pool was still in use and though the water was a little on the cold side, a number of us swam several times during the week. Antoinette was extremely helpful and did all she could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We hired a car through her, which worked out very well, though it is a short walk from the villa to the nearest bus stop and some of our party made good use of the bus service. So you could easily get by without a car - it was a 20 euro taxi ride from the airport to the villa. Mellieha Bay is 15-20 minute walk (i.e. 15 there and 20 back as it's uphill!) from the villa and is very pleasant. I'd certainly recommend Ringway Villa, particularly for large family groups.

we hired the ringway villa for two weeks in July for our family of our two sons and their families. We found the villa an excellant choice and the flats had everything you needed. The swimming pool was just the right size for us with a family of ages of 1yrs to 75yrs. The flat was well furnished and comfortable though some dated but mostly modern. The upstairs flats were very good for little ones, as had a large veranda for them to run around.Antoinette and her husband couldn't have been more helpful even when we needed cooking instructions translated. The villa was within walking distant to local shops, we used the bakery daily for fresh bread and cakes and found the supermarket good value. You do have to walk up the the hill a bit though to get to them but at least down on the way back. A good villa for a big family group to hire. All our family had a brill time and would go back again. Sue and Trevor and family

The pool was fine and the owners very helpful. It is situated very well, in a quite road but well within walking distance of shops and busses if needed. We would recommend this property to anybody, whether a family with young children or teenagers, it would suit most people.

Perfect holiday home!

This place is really beautiful. It is perfect for large groups and is superbly clean. We even found bread, jam and butter for our first breakfast when we arrived at night. supermarkets and bus stop within walking distance. Beach is a little further away, but there is a beautiful untouched cove within 20-30 mins walk, that is definitely worth checking out! All in all: fantastic experience that I can only recommend (particularly to large groups.)

Pleasant, quite and spacious

Review Submitted: July 12, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
The accomodation is really pleasant, quite and spacious. It is located, as mentionned, in quite area of Mellieha, with other villas all around. Just one point : the appartment has 3 wide bedrooms, but the lounge is rather a hallway as it has 6 doors and no windows. The facilities are simple but in good condition, nothing's missing. The appartment also have a large covered balcony with a table, lots of lemon trees around. The pool is ok and the bedding is comfortable. Not very far by foot from Mellieha downtown, so no real need to have a car. Highly recommended.

My family stayed in the villa April 2009. Arrived in the dark after being stuck in a traffic jam and was pleasantly surprised. Had young children with us who loved running round exploring (obviously need to be watched near pool area and steps), the whole villa had a wonderful feel to it, very quiet and pleasant at night and lovely in the morning sunrise.
The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, even when we locked ourselves out!
The villa itself was lovely and clean and homely, the upstairs part was especially large.
Santa Maria estate is a good base for exploring the rest of Malta with a bus stop at the top of the road.
Would recommend for anyone, especially large groups as you can have your own space but also plenty of room for get-togethers such as barbecues.

Review Submitted: July 10, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
I didn't expect the villa to be as nice as it was! Roomy, clean and much nicer than expected - loved it! With 2 of us middle aged, 4 teens and a 9-yr-old there was something for all of us. Could have wished for the beach to be closer but the area around the beach wasn't as nice as where this is located so in the end we were happy to be where we were. Like others have said: the bus was quick and cheap, we just ended up being too lazy to hop on it as much as we maybe could or should have. The nearest restaurant - Cross Keys we went to 4 times! Bar and music on bottom floor, delicious pizzas one up and a bit more upmarket at the top, we tried it all. When we had trouble paying with our card we were offered to come bk and pay next day so that we wouldn't be left without cash! But we scraped it and were then offered a lift to cashpoint to see whether card would work there (it did) Amazingly friendly attitude all around. We fell in love with Malta, the people, Ringway, the view, but NOT the crazy traffic - scary, my one and only complaint of Malta. Thanks Antoinette for a lovely holiday :-)

Ringway Villa, Mellieha, Malta. property 76650

Review Submitted: July 9, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We all enjoyed staying at The Ringway Villa (Apartments) in Mellieha, Malta. 20th to 27th June 2009

Being met, by a very jovial mini bus driver, who was awaiting our arrival, at the airport.
Taking us directly to our accommodation.

A very warm and friendly welcome at the Villa by the Owner and her helpers, with complementary drinks,
and a welcome pack of starter groceries.

The apartments were clean & tidy, with all the necessities, the description was spot on.
Being as we had the two apartments that interconnect
on the first floor, there were two kitchens, both with Fridge, Microwave, Cooker, Toasters, Coffee makers, Kettles,
TV's, Radio-CD players & a good selection of pots and pans, cutlery crockery and glassware.

Air Conditioning is available if required, also fans are located in every bedroom, the bedrooms being spacious, were equipped with chest of drawers, wardrobes, (with an ample supply of hangers), bedside tables and lamps, mirrors, iron, ironing board, hairdryer etc.

Bathrooms, having three between the two apartments, having showers & baths in all. Also washing machines in both apartments.

The Decking and Pool area was well equipped with sun relaxers and seating, with a barbecue to one side.

Further travel arrangements made prior to our travel, which were amended on arrival, were carried out without problem.
Our return transfer to the airport was also prompt as alike the other transfer.

We were not disappointed with the villa & views, along with the closeness of all other facilities, Bakers, Butchers, Supermarket along with a selection of restaurants and shops, all being of a good standard.
We would certainly recommend this Villa, along with its good customer service, as provided by the owner.

Our compliments to Antoinette for a very well equipped Villa.

Regards

Latest of many stays

Graeme & Denise Oxfordshire
Review Submitted: November 23, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
Our September stay was the latest of many stays over 16 years. This year we stayed in the bottom flat but have previously taken the whole villa when the children were small. The villa is ideally located only a few minutes walk from a supermarket and only a little further to other shops, restaurants and bars. The bus service is very good and very cheap, you are only a short bus journey away from the Gozo ferry terminal and one of the only sandy beaches on Malta. The villa is set high up overlooking Santa Maria Estate, the views are wonderful. The villa is very well equiped with everything you might need, you can even do the washing before you return home. Antionette and Charlie are always on hand if you need them. They always make you feel welcome, nothing is too nuch trouble. We consider them good friends. The villa is always very clean as is the wonderful pool and deck area.
The sun deck gets the sun all day and has plenty of loungers and umbrellas. If you are staying in Mellieha you must visit one of the best restaurants on Malta the Fruit de Mer, but make sure you go there hungry as the food is fab.
