Couldn't have asked for more

Leyton Scott London, England
Review Submitted: October 26, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
The listing really doesn't do this place justice.

The apartment itself was fantastic and much bigger than we thought based on the photos. The location couldn't have been better either - there's a wide variety of shops and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk and the promenade is less than five minutes away on foot.

The buses between the old town and the airport were great (€4 for a 20 minute journey along the coast road to Gare Routiere, which is a short walk from the apartment) and the buses between Nice and the other towns were even better. We paid €2 for a return trip to Monaco!

I really couldn't have asked for more

A Real Gem!!!

LePeEvSe Uppsala, Sweden
Review Submitted: September 7, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We stayed in this charming apartment for eleven nights in July-August 2009 and we loved it! The apartment is spacious, comfortable and stylish and we immediately felt at home. It was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need.

The location was perfect for our needs, in the center of the charming and vibrant Old Town and with most of the attractions in Nice within walking distance. We had great restaurants right at the doorstep and just one minute to Cours Saleya and two minutes to the beach and Promenade des Anglais. The supermarket Monoprix was easily accessible within easy walking distance.

We visited Monaco, Eze Village, Villefranche and St. Paul de Vence by bus, lovely and inexpensive trips. The bus station Gare Routiere is within just a few minutes walk from the apartment.

The owners are very friendly and helpful. All correspondence was quick and informative.

This apartment is a real gem and staying here made us feel like locals more than tourists which we loved!

We would be happy to stay here again and we would highly recommend this apartment.

The Perfect Holiday Retreat in Old Nice!

Miss Jo-Jo Cambridge
Review Submitted: September 1, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
This is a brilliantly located apartment in Old Nice, a beautiful apartment full of traditional character situated in the bustling French back streets.
We took the Eurostar to Nice from Kings Cross, and with a 10 min cab ride to the apartment from the station, it was a straight forward journey.
The apartment itself is more than equipped, washing machine, dishwasher, a selection of books, DVD's, IPod docking station etc and a kitchen fully equipped, perfect for dinner party entertaining to a picnic basket for a day of sightseeing.
Every possible need has beeen thought of and the rooms are comfortable; clean with a practical lay out.
Pete and Pat the owners are extremely friendly and efficient and sent some great maps, local info and sightseeing suggestions before hand, along with lots of handy local hints and tips.
The beach is in walking distance, and also convenient access to train or bus routes for sightseeing further out of Nice. I would highly recommend a bus trip to Monaco for the day to see how the other half live!!!
Food is very good (though a little pricey) with a huge range of restaurants, bistros and pizzerias right on the doorstep of the apartment. There is a great 6 Euro pizza takeaway if you turn right out of the apartment on the left hand side, perfect for taking down to the beach with a couple of cold beers!
Overall, this for us has been an ideal place for a holiday, the culture, food, variety of places to see and things to do are of plenty and an apartment which can not be faulted, perfect for whatever type of holiday you may chose to have in Nice.

Our Family Holiday In Old Town Nice

Soapyess Stratford St Mary
Review Submitted: July 13, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Our family stay in Nice every year and we decided to go out and stay at the same time. The apartment was amazing - clean, modern, but with a real 'Old Town' feel and with everything you would want - a real home from home. With two young children it was perfect, we had lots of meals in as the accommodation had a lovely dining space, our family joined us, and fully equipped kitchen. The owner was so helpful and sent us lots of information about what to see and do. I would definitely re-visit this beautiful place and stay in same apartment.

Nice Apartment

Chris & Sue Ealing, London
Review Submitted: July 4, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
This is a comfortable, spacious apartment situated in the Old Town in the centre of Nice. It is close to shops, bars, restaurants and the main bus station. The buses provide an excellent way to the nearby resorts in both directions along the coast. The kitchen is large and part of the main living room which means that the cook is not left out of the predinner conversation. It is also well equipped and includes the necessities so that your holiday does not have to start with a major shopping expedition. There's ample seating and dining space as well as an English TV.

Our recommendations are trips along the coast especially to Villefranche and Antibes and Villa Kerylos is worth a visit and the train into the mountains (to Tende). For a good nearby restaurant we have had romantic dinners at Le Tire Bouchon. Also if you feel like a stroll along the Promenade Des Anglais, some distance away we had the best hot chocolate drink ever at Pinnocio's cafe!

We have visited Nice 7 times - the last 2 we have stayed here and are looking forward to our visit in 2010.

GREAT place to stay!!!

Saskman Sasktoon, Canada
Review Submitted: June 26, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
This apartment perfectly outfitted and located in the heart of old Nice. The owners were friendly and very accommodating with arranging payment and key pick-up and drop off (this was important since we were traveling from Canada). The neighborhood was beautiful and I highly recommend that you stay in old Nice when visiting.
The apartment was very clean and well outfitted with dishes and bedding to make your stay comfortable and convenient.
The owners generously offered their knowledge on attractions to visit, restaurants to eat at, and places to shop and they provided maps to locate each!

A great apartment for a small family

Review Submitted: December 25, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
We had a great stay in this charming apartment. The kitchen had everything we needed and more, the apartment had a very nice modern bathroom and a spacious livingroom. The owners were very helpful in every way, and gave us a lot of useful information on places to see and things to do in and around Nice. The location is great, even though staying in the old town in Nice means some noise in the evenings from the narrow streets below. But it's worth it! Our children had no trouble sleeping, neither did we.
Here's a short list of things we did during our one week stay: we bought flowers and vegetables at the Cours Saleya 2 minutes from the apartment, we visited the Russian Orthodox Church (beautiful!), we took the train to Monaco and the bus to the Cap Ferrat Zoo, we had picnics on the beach (too cold to go swimming in March!), we went shopping on the Avenue Jean Medecin, we bought lots of ice cream from a great ice cream place close to the apartment, delicious chocolate from a chocolaterie nearby, and lots more. For art lovers, we would like to recommend the Musée Chagall and the Musée des Beaux-Arts. This city has something for everyone, and this apartment is a great place to stay while exploring it!
