GREAT TIME AT CASA SERENA

JAMBOJOHN EDINBURGH
Review Submitted: August 4, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
The three of us (my wife, 17yr old son and myself) all had an excellent 2-week family holiday in this villa (July 2009). I would recommend it to friends. Very clean, well-maintained, comfortable and spacious. Walking distance from many of the shops and bars. We hired a car for the 2 weeks, but it is not vital to have one as the local bus stops close to the villa which takes you to Arrecife and all over the island. Also close to the villa is "Last Minute Tours", which do very reasonable day trips to all the sights (Timanfaya attraction is a must). The owner and his family were very friendly and willing to help in any way they could, but stayed away and kindly let us get on with our holiday. Pool cleaned regularly by a very friendly guy who came twice a week. This was our 6th visit to Lanzarote, but our first time staying in a villa - I will certainly stay in a villa again. The only problem (minor) was that we were there during a heatwave (daytime temps 40+) - so trying to get to sleep at night proved to be very difficult as the villa was so hot (even with windows and doors open), so a few more portable fans in the bedrooms would have been a bonus. All in all - a first class holiday in a first class villa.

This was our first time at the Villa Casa Serena and it will not be our last,we found the quiet location and privacy of the Villa second to none. The Villa is well maintained and looked after. The private pool and all outside area's gave us total privacy to sunbathe and chill out, there are sun beds and two different sitting area's for alfresco dining. The Villa is well equipt for all your needs. We would like to thank Audrey and Len for pointing out the best restaurants from Indian, Chinese and Tapas bars which are only a few minutes walk away. The Highlander British Bar is the place for your full English Breakfast, so once again thanks to Audrey and Len. The Beach,Local Buses, Shops and Supermarket are within easy walking distance. We fully recommend Villa Casa Serena for the perfect chill out Holiday.

We had never went on holidays before without a travel agent and having booked flights and accomodation online we were apprehensive but after this experience we will certainly do it again. We have five young children under the age of 10, youngest being 3 and we all had such a lovely time. the villa had everything you could possibly need or want and with 5 kids the washing machine was great, we came home with clean clothes instead of days of washing, next time I would take less luggage. Plenty of hot water for showers in the evening, all cooking utensils and even toys for the pool. Everybody was able to sleep comfortably, two bigger kids were out in the back bedroom, which I did intially have some concerns but was reassured and they were very happy. Smaller kids do need strict supervision around the pool side for safety and as a parent you do worry about their safety, but we had a rule they were not allowed out into patio area unless one of us were with them and they had their swim jackets on, a rule they abided by and the dvd also kept them entertained whilst we made breakfast etc.
Shops, restaurants and beaches all within very convienent walking distances and all lovely, just a perfect holiday and one we certainly would wish to repeat.
As for Audrey and Len, we found them both helpful, honest trustworthy and informative, yet unintrusive, by phone, e-mail and in person.
Thanks Audrey and Len hope to see you next year!

Enjoyed our holiday to Costa Teguise with friends. Villa Casa Serena was spotless and very comfortable. Pool was nice and warm, and there was lots of different areas to chill out in. Villa is in a quiet location, only a few minutes walk away are plenty of good restaurants shops and bars. The local bus service to Puerto del Carmen Arrecife and the Sunday market in Teguise run every 10 min. I would like to thank Audrey and Len for all there help, pointing us in the right direction to the best resturants, and also keeping our luggage as we were on a late flight. We will be returning to the same villa in July 09 with family

Villa par excellance

enjoyable holidays Newcastle Upon Tyne
Review Submitted: April 20, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2008
This year will be our 3rd year at Casa Serena and we find the villa and it location just perfect. The villa is spotless, very well maintained and has furnishings of a high standard. The owners have everything covered from towels to toaster to satellite TV. The kitchen is of generous size and includes all the equipment we have at home. The lounge is very comfortable for quiet evenings either after a home cooked meal taken in the atrium or going to a very good choice of local restaurants.
The outside pool is a very enjoyable diversion from the midday sun (as is always the case parents need to properly supervise yound children). The loungers and outdoor furnishings are most welcome.
We find that Costa Teguise is an excellent family resort to either spend an entire holiday or to use as a base for travelling North to the caves of Jameos del Agua/Los Verdes and Mirador del Rio and to the South to Timanfaya and Playa Blanca.
All in all we can highly recommend Casa Serena.

Casa Serena is an ideal holiday villa, I have gone there faithfully every year since 1991. The villa itself is very clean,child-friendly, and comfortable. It's rare to find a real home from home. My son, who's now 9, has always loved his holidays there, I can never got him out of the pool. It's very well located, close to all the restaurants and amenities, I'd recommend it to all groups and ages.

Our family stayed in Casa Serena in May 2008 for 2 weeks, and we had a wonderful holiday, the villa is first class and caters for everything you need, it's position is ideal as it is close to all facilities, restaurants and it is generally a good base to visit the rest of the island. We will no doubt be back. Thank you Len and Audrey for all your help during our stay. Simon, Dionne and Patrick

We have stayed at Casa Serena on 3 occasions. That's 5 of us, 3 kids (ages 7, 10 &13) and 2 adults.
The Villa is very comfortable and clean, the owners friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
There's a BBQ, pool, roof terrace, utilities room, 3 bed rooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen/ dining room and lounge with TV etc. In fact everything that you require for an excellent Holiday, including a masses of self catering equipment.
The villa is set in a small residential block of quality properties. Very quiet but only 5 mins walk from beach and 10 mins to the resort centre.
Unfortunatelywe are unable to book for 2009, but can't wait for another trip.
Families with very young children should always be cautious and vigilant near pools, that's common sense!
Highly reccomended, try it, you won't be dissapointed!

We spent 5 nights during February 2009 in this villa. The area is great, very quiet. The pool and the equiment outside were nice. The sound system did not work in all rooms and the temperature of the decreased from day to day. There is plenty to see and to do around, so I would recommend this villa for exploring the north of Lanzarote. Do not miss the indian restaurant, it has excellent food!

Our stay in Casa Serena as always was exceptional - the villa is spotless, child friendly and ideally located within seven minutes walk from the beach. The owners could not have been more helpful and provided us with all the information and assistance we required. The villa has every facility including a fully fitted kitchen with all domestic appliances - a real home from home. It also has cable TV, audio in each room, roof top area to sun bathe which was accessed through a lovely atrium and a child friendly heated pool with lots of sun loungers and an out door eating area with BBQ. The pool and villa is maintained regularly to the highest standards. We felt completely safe and its located in a lovely quiet area. A great selection of supermarkets, retail shops and restaurants are within a five minute walk. This was our fifth year to stay in the villa and we are looking forward to our return visit in June '09. We would recommend this villa to all age groups who want a relaxing holiday in the sun.

Ann & Michael.
