Good location/facilities

Spent one week here at the beginning of October. Great central location just off Cours Saleya and 1 minute to beach. Lots of restaurants, shops and markets in the area. Apartment is welling fitted out. Be aware that it is at the top of a building with no elevator so you will need to be able to manage the stairs. No problem with noise from the street. Would consider again.

CENTRALLY LOCATED APARTMENT IN NICE

Coc Bristol
Review Submitted: October 15, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
We spent 5 nights in the apartment in Nice. Information and directions provided by the owner were most helpful and we had no difficulty in picking up the key. The apartment is situated on the top floor and as such is probably not suitable for the elderly as there is no lift installed. Also hauling large quantites of baggage up the stairs could be a problem. However the apartment itself is spacious, clean and provides everything you could want to make your stay comfortable. It is perfectly located in the old part of Nice, close to restaurants, bars and only a short walk away from the promenade and beach. I would not hesitate to stay here on another occasion and would recommend it to friends and family.

Excellent located apartement

Very nice apartement in the lively old town. Three minutes to the beach and five minutes to the bus station, the best restaurant and pub we visited in our trip just around the corner. The apartement in itself is typically French and cosy, relatively newly renovated. On the negative side: the stairs, a bit humid and smelly bathroom and the air-condition. However, the location is so good that we would like to come back next time we are in Nice.

Apartment - Nice

Review Submitted: June 28, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
(+) Spacious, charming, well equipped (great kitchen!), TV, Internet, nice rooftop views, plenty of sleeping space, extremeley well located, near sea, restaurants & shops.

(-) Lots of steps to reach apartment, mezzanine sleeping area not usable in very hot weather.

Overall - a great apartment in a great location!

I spent a lovely time in this beautiful apartment with my husband and 2 girls. It is beautifully decorated, pretty and wonderfully located in the heart of the vieux Nice. The advantage is that it is on a quiet street which is a must in the city with all the restaurants and bars. We highly recommend it.

Quaint, cute, and clean!

I rented this apartment with another person for a conference in Nice in January 2009. Reserving the apartment was very easy, and the owner was very responsive to any questions we had.

The apartment is located in a *perfect* area in Vieux Nice, just steps away from the daily market and picturesque oceanfront. Restaurants, bars, and shopping are also within steps of the front door.

The only mishap we had was getting in to the apartment, but coordinating two people's arrivals from overseas may have complicated the matter a bit. I only had to wait a few hours to get in on the day I arrived. Be prepared for quite a hike up the stairs! I think I developed "buns of steel" while there for a week.

Once inside the apartment, you'll find two perfect little bedrooms and a nice clean bathroom, along with a sizeable living room with books and information/maps on the city of Nice. We started to feel like we actually lived there, as this apartment was so cozy and comfortable.

Thanks for a great stay!

Our family of two adults and two young boys stayed at this apartment in old Nice in January 2009. It was great value, the apartment was clean and modern and the people we dealt with were very friendly and always contactable. The apartment is in a great spot and within walking distance of the beach, the markets etc etc. You will however need to be fit and healthy to navigate the five or so levels of ancient stairs in the building so be warned and pack lightly. However if you are not going in and out all day long it is acceptable. The information pack from the owner/manager is great and very personal as they have eaten at all the recommended restaurants and of the ones we tried we were very happy with their information. On a warm day make sure you have a coffee on the beach as per their breakfast recommendation, we watched our kids run around and have fun as we sat in the sun. I would recommend this apartment for a fit and healthy young family or couple, who want to experience the real feeling of living in old Nice, this apartment really makes you feel like a local after a few days.

we have just returned from a very enjoyable stay in this property 22/12/08-29/12/08.we found the property clean, tidy and well equipped .situated in the center of old town nice we found ourselves only a 10 minute walk from all requirements i.e the beach, supermarkets, trams and train station.the appartment only had one downside which was the four flights of stairs we had to climb up and down each day,but once in the rooms looking out across the rooftops to the beach it was worth the climb.we stayed here with our 2 sons aged 14 and 17 who thoroughly enjoyed the city, especially the 20 minute train journey to monaco, and the views from up the hills overlooking the town.it was a joy to stay in this appartment ,and we would recommend it to all our fit friends.all you need in a holiday.thankyou to all involved for making this such a pleasant ,memorable holiday.

Stay in Sept 2008

We (3 friends) had a wonderful time in Nice, made all the better by our stay in such a lovely apartment. We found it to be very comfortable, clean and well-equipped and perfectly located for us and our needs! The apartment is right in the heart of the Old Town - surrounded by a wide choice of restaurants and bars and a stones throw from the beach.
One point to note, the lighter you can travel the better due to several flights of stairs to the flat! However, these only added to the character of the building, afforded lovely views and provided some well needed exercise!
We would definately look to stay in this apartment on our next visit to Nice!

Top location in Old Nice. Child friendly.

We thouroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment in Old Nice. Being at the top of the building, there were stairs to climb, but it was well worth it for the view and to be away from others as we had two children in tow. The kids saw the stairs as an adventure. The property was clean, comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated. The mezzanine was a big hit with our kids (under 8 years), and it would also be great for teenagers. Our dealings with the owner were excellent, and we were warmly welcomed to the apartment. The location is one of the big advantages of this apartment. It is in the heart of Vieux Nice, close to the Saleya Markets, the ocean and the interesting boutiques and galleries among the winding streets of the Old Town. There are many restaurants to choose from in the area, our favourite being La Ferme Saleya just opposite the apartment building, again very child friendly. The apartment is about a 30 minute walk from the train station and we don't recommend it with kids and luggage. The fit among you would have no problems, but other modes of transport are available and information about them were supplied by the owner. We would recommend this property to our friends and family, and wished we could have stayed longer.
