spring break in Villefranche

LeCroc Betric Buree, Dordogne, France
Review Submitted: June 19, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
A wonderful sunny period enhanced the stay at Villa le Studio in March this year. We were delighted with the comprehensive arrangements in the apartment. Wonderful views from the balcony and living room of the bay with Cap Ferrat beyond. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. Plenty of hot water in the powerful shower in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and there was sufficient storage for our needs in cupboards and drawers. Walking down to the local shops took no time at all as the apartment is in a really convenient location to access all parts of the pretty town. We will return.
Owner's Response: We have refurbished this apartment this year and it is looking great with it's contemporary feel and wonderful views of the bay. With it's own parking space we believe it offers some lovely features and look forward to welcoming you soon! Warm regards, Mattie

Wonderful holiday!

We had a wonderful time in this small, yet very accommodating apartment. It was the perfect size for our family of 4. The kitchen was very well stocked. We loved the location and the view of the harbor was spectacular. We could easily walk to the old village or to the beach. Best is to have a car.
Owner's Response: Villa le Studio has been recently newly refurbished so we are delighted with the reviews coming in since the changes have been made. The location is great and although it is nice to have a car it is fine without one as the transport is great and only a few minutes away. I have stayed many times without a car. However, there is a parking space which can be tricky in Villefranche. See you soon, Mattie

Week in Villefranche

Croc Dordogne, France
Review Submitted: March 25, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
It's mid March. I have just returned from a week at Villa le Studio at Villefranche sur mer. Everything about the apartment was as I would have wished. A panoramic view over the harbour towards Cap Ferrat and a sunny balcony for breakfast and apertifs. There were very comfortable beds and living room furniture,in a clean and bright modern interior. The up to date kitchen, with the dishwasher, washing machine, built in hob and oven were like home. The shower was powerful, the blue tiled bathroom efficiently set up. We were also blessed with wonderful weather, the icing on the cake ! The location was also excellent. Perfect for getting down to the old town and harbour,on foot or in the carto reach the shops, bars and restaurants. Having a parking place right by the front door made things much easier too. I will be returning. Thank you.

Villa le Studio - A great holiday!

My husband and I and our 23 year old daughter, had a wonderful time at the apartment.
We hired a car ~ perhaps we didn’t need one on reflection, but it did give us the freedom to visit inland. Several times we travelled by bus ~ so easy as the bus stops were just steps away from the apartment, went to Monaco/Monte Carlo and a couple of times to Nice, liked the standard 1 euro bus fare rate. Enjoyed Nice immensely, strolling around the flower market and the old town, took the Nice bus tour which was very informative ~ though not normally something we’d do to be honest. Monaco well worth a visit too, recommend visiting the cathedral and taking the little train around Monte Carlo, but didn’t take up the offer to drive a Ferrari round the grand prix circuit!
Villefranche is the loveliest spot. Great just watching the world and the cruise liners go by from the waterfront bars, wandering around choosing places to have dinner/coffee/ice creams. Also enjoyed the ‘beach’ (an unexpected bonus as we didn’t realise there was one!) spotlessly clean, absolutely no radios allowed and patrolled by many lifeguards ~ very relaxing and we even found tree shaded benches to sit on!
The apartment itself is lovely and the view over the bay ~ early evenings with a glass of something, watching departing cruise liners and then the lights starting to twinkle around the bay was time well spent!
An enjoyable holiday, Villefranche exceeded our expectations ~ it’s got everything we’d imagined a South of France destination to have; unexpected squares in the old quarter, craft market (lovely jewellery), antiques market, tiny shops, alleys leading to the seafront... just wish we’d gone for longer!
Best wishes
Joan

Wunderschöner Ausblick

Glonner München
Review Submitted: February 8, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
