Excellent holiday villa

Review Submitted: September 3, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We arrived at the property in late July/August 2009 and found the property to be in excellent condition.

The property was clean, comfortable, had a lot of hidden extras for example buckets and spade and bits for the beach. All bedrooms were very spacious, with air-conditioning and the kitchen facilities were excellent. We especially enjoyed the barbacues on the roof terrance once the sun had gone down! Sometimes a bit of sunbathing and reading books were great early in the morning before the sun was too intense.

The large communal pool is directly opposite the villa and was not too busy and kept very clean. Most people we met were lovely and friendly. A tip, wear flip flops when walking on the grass by the pool as wasps do hide in the grass and sting or alternatively follow the path!!

We found the area quiet but lovely, we would definitely recommend a car for your visit as the nearest shops and restaurants are quite a walk. When travelling by car the surrounding area has lots of supermarkets, takeaways, restaurants and beaches to explore.

We thoroughly had a fabulous restful time and would recommend it to everyone.

Excellent Property

The property is spotlessly clean and has every thing you could need for a holiday. I'd recommend a car as the area is quite hilly but one is not absolutely necessary.
The pool is fine.
For steak lovers the nearby restaurants of Bonnies, The Grill House and Ramons will provide excellent dining out.
All in all I'd recommend both the villa and the area.

An excellent fortnight

Review Submitted: July 1, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
This bungallo villa was perfect. Very well laid out, nicely decorated, and ideal for what we were after.
The pool is literally just across from the front gate, and is very well maintained. If you prefer the beach, then ther's La Marina beach 5 minutes drive away, or Guardamar beach, 10 minutes or so, both with shade & 2 beds for 10 Euros for the whole day if required.
The villa itself was full of every mod-con you need, with lots of useful information on places to visit on the Costa Blanca, with most places within just an hour or so's drive away.
The urbanisation itself is bigger and much better than we initially realised At first we thought it seemed a liitle isolated with not a lot going on. After a few wrong turns in the car, it soon became clear that La Marina Urbanisation was huge, with pockets of shops, pubs & restaurants all over the place. A recce on arrival is recommended so as to reap the best out of your stay.
All the pubs we went in were friendly and each has something going on each night (quizzes & karaoke). They tend to take it in turns for each evening of the week, so if you're a pub person every night, prior knowledge of whats on, when & where helps.
The restaurants on the whole were pretty good. The Patagonian Steakhouse was excellent & very reasonable. We don't recommend the chinese at all. If you want a really good chinese buffet, that is also very cheap, go to the big Wok Buffet in Guardamar, just off the 332, that was amazing food!
Shopping was excellent, as there is a Mercadona 5 minutes drive, which also has a Lidl & a British Iceland near by too.
The resident Brits whom we spoke to were all very friendly and helpful, explaining to us when & where various markets were being held, and what festivals were on (unfortunately we just missed these).
A trip to Torravieja is always recommended, especially on a Friday or Saturday evening, for the market, the thriving restaurants or the walk along the marina. I unfortunately lost my presciption glasses, but have no fear, there is a British staffed Specsavers in Torrevieja that were able to come to my rescue (point to note, don't walk into the sea with your glasses on, it can end up very expensive).
I would thoroughly recommend this property to anybody who likes to either relax or explore in the daytime, and on an evening have fun in the pubs, or have a relaxing game of cards with a glass of wine in the evening.

This was the perfect gettaway thankyou very much.

Holiday Villa

Elder-Moz Manchester
Review Submitted: September 1, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
This is an excellent villa, very clean and very well presented. The facilities within are second to none. Every creature comfort you possess at home is available for your use, from every kitchen utensil you could possibly wish to use to CDs, books, DVDs buckets and spades, cooler boxes and BBQ facilities. The roof top terrace was a particular favourite for us with outstanding views of the scenery and also overlooks the communal pool. The communal pool is only 10yards away and is clean and tidy. The location of the villa is ideal with a short 8min walk to all bars, shops and restaurants. The local beach is clean and ideal for children, although not within walking distance its only a 10minute bus or taxi ride away. We will be looking to rent this property again as it is perfect in regards to cleanliness and facilities provided.

Property 80521

ZK Herne Bay, Kent
Review Submitted: July 23, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2008
This villa is fantastic. We had a brilliant holiday, the perfect combination of sightseeing and sunbathing. On arrival the floor is shining and you can see the villa is pristine. Don't waste money like we did on local maps, dictionaries etc. as the villa is so well equipped you will find them there. Whether you need a garlic press or buckets and spades for the beach you will find them. Good security was a must for us as we have a 5 and 7 year old and thanks to the typical Spanish style bars and shutters on all windows it was brilliant and very reassuring. It also meant that the children could play and watch Sky indoors whilst we sunbathed on the roof terrace, meaning everyone was safe and happy! This villa had one of the best views compared to others as you overlook the communal pool with the mountains in the backgroud. We took the most ridiculous amount of photos of the beautiful sunsets everynight. Good local shops and amenities. We ate at a local restaurant El Matador, lovely food, brilliant service and good prices. If you have a car and want to explores there's lots to find, we went off into the mountains for the day finding St Jose's castle with beautiful views and into an amazing cave called Cuevas de Canelobre in Busot. We also caught a tram in Alicante to Villajoyosa which showed us fantastic coastal views the whole way. In Villajoyosa we visited a Valor chocolate factory where you can have a factory tour and tasting session for free! Santa Pola also has a vast array of beautiful shoe shops. The local representative was very friendly and their local knowledge was invaluable when we needed medical assistance. So whether you want to relax and do nothing or hire a car and explore this is villa that will allow you to do both! Thank you.
