Combine city break with beach holiday

escaped from norfolk King's Lynn, Norfolk, England
Review Submitted: August 25, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Lovely apartment, great location, very clean and well maintained, air con much relief in August. Felt really spacious even with family of 4 staying. Enjoyed al fresco meals on the terrace. Found everything we needed in apartment. Convenient for shops and metro (both supermarket & metro station stones throw from apartment), beach short walk away. Greeter George very helpful and explained everything we needed on arrival. We found tourist bus best way to see all of city, not just La Rambla/Pl Catalunya. Children loved day trip to Illa Fantasia Waterpark (bought tickets from touist information, free bus leaving twice a day). Would definitely recommend apartment to friends and would rent again, great value for money for August school holiday weeks.

Good Apartment for Exploring Barcelona

Review Submitted: July 2, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
Stayed at this property for four night in May.It was very clean, well equipped and as described in the advert. Apartment is ideally located across the road from the Metro. Local bars, banks and supermarkets are nearby. Nearby Poble Nou Rambla has some lovely restaurants. Apartment owner/management have left good local information about attractions, transport, etc. Good Customer service from Claire and George. Thanks for that. Would recommend the property to friends.

Great Flat!

Review Submitted: June 25, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Spacious, clean, well maintained, good beds, comfortable furniture, good television programming from the BBC as well as local Spanish channels. The kitchen is a dream, all appliances well maintained. Dishes, glassware, flatware and pots and pans are ample and of good quality.
Flat includes maps of Barcelona, excellent guide books on Spain in general and Barcelona in particular. Lots of brochures on what to do, where to go.
As described, the subway entrance is just steps away. The beach is a ten-minute walk. The entire area is safe. Good restaurants are all around, most especially on the Rambla del Poble Nou. Best time to eat is the noon meal (1:30 - 3:30). For best price, select from the "Menu del dia". Supermarkets and tiny food shops are everywhere, but the best is the large fresh food market about 3 blocks away, with irresistible cheeses, local sausages, meat, fish, poultry, fruits vegetables, etc. as well as freshly prepared food that can be heated later in the microwave.
A newly opened modern public library has magazines in English, Spanish and Catalan. Free internet access is available if one signs up for it.
We would return in a minute, and certainly plan on recommending it to friends.

Perfect place to stay in Barcelona

The apartment was exactly as decribed in the details. It was clean, well equipped, stylish and well maintained. The manager provided an excellent personal service and we have already recommended it to several friends. It was close to a beautiful beach and many lovely eating places. The area was out of the centre but was a buzzing and lively place. The metro was almost outside the front door so it couldn,t have been easier for sightseeing.

Great apartment! Modern, clean and very comfortable, in the heart of Poble Nou. Lots of good information in the apartment on what to do and George our meeter and greeter was on time and very, very helpful.
The location was perfect for a family. Walking distance to The Rambla de Poble nou which was lovely to sit in and have lunch, we took the metro to the city squares, market, cathedrals for the mornings and then walked to the beach in the afternoon.
Barcelona is a fun, vibrant and cultural city and great for walking and the metro system is very easy to use too. The kids loved it, we did too and the apartment was spacious enough for us all, and Sat TV helped to ease the kids into bed. Thanks for everything.
Hope to return again in the not too distant future.

poble nou is fab

We had a fab mini break at this apartment. 2 double bedrooms, aircon and Sat TV - UK, Bliss! Per night split between 4 it is great value for money. Thanks to George for being on time to let us in and fill us in on the local area, as we discovered, Poble Nou is a charming centrally-located residential neighbourhood five minutes from the sea near Vila Olimpica and Barcelona´s best beach Mar Bella. The pedestrianised Rambla de Poble Nou which is lined with cafes and trees, has a very local, friendly and villagey feel, and perfect for lunch. The Ramblas and the centre of town are just 10 minutes away by metro or head along the beach to reach Barceloneta and the old port. This is a lovely place from which to soak up the feeling of a local Catalan neighbourhood while being within easy reach of the city centre and the beach.
We loved it! Coming back soon.

A lovely place to stay in Barcelona, right near the beach yet we traveled into town in 15 mins with the metro literally across the street. The apartment was clean and very comfortable and the air con was a must in July. Our train didn't leave until 9pm and we appreciated the few extra hours given to us by George our meeter and greeter, who was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about Barcelona and Poble Nou. he was a massive help to us all round. Thanks for the ease of booking and the great check in. We will come back.
