WOW!

Review Submitted: November 12, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We stayed at the villa 26-Oct - 2-Nov. What a fantastic place, the photos don't do justice. Everything we could have wanted was there for us. It was clean, well equipped & very easy to access Coral Bay. Amalia (the owner) was so lovely to us & couldn't do enough to help when she learned that a return flight ticket had been left in England!!! I don't know what else to say, it is impossible to describe the beauty of Villa Amalia & the wonderful views we had day & night. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxed get away with a large party then a stay at Amalia is a MUST. :-) Thank you Amalia for your FAB hospitality, we will return.

Ode to Amalia

Review Submitted: September 10, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
Months spent drooling over pictures
of Amalia on the web;
barely captured the essence of
such a wonderful des. res.

A villa so comfortable and spacious;
we lived in magnificient style,
spectacular sunsets, mountain views;
beautiful coast - mile upon mile.

Veranda breakfasts followed ping pong,
and oh that clear blue pool;
just what the doctor ordered
to keep us all cool!

60 'Mamma Mia' steps down
to a secluded jetty;
a truly magical place
we will never forgetty!

Heartfelt thanks to Amalia
for a fantastic treat;
such a special place
you'd find hard to beat.

Villa Amelia in the Spring

The holiday gang Hertfordshire
Review Submitted: April 29, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
We booked Villa Amelia for our daughters 18th birthday. We arrived at night so didn't see the beauty of it all until the morning. The outlook across to Coral Bay was beautiful, the sunsets on the horizon were amazing !. Every need was catered for in this wonderful villa - including the wine in Welcome Pack.! Coral Bay is an easy stroll of an evening - and it makes it easier if you dance on the way home xx
I would recommend this villa for everyone

The website is absolutely spot- on. If anything, the villa and amenities are even better than anticipated.
We would like to say don't come here - so we can keep this a secret forever! but it's just fabulous and Amalia is the perfect hostess. We have been to Cyprus before and had the holiday rep " in our face"- BUT - Amalia owns this villa, yet still called us beforehand and rang the doorbell to gain entry - which we all appreciated. XL went bust during our stay, affecting half our party, and Amalia organised alternative taxi transfers and other arrangements which took the stress away from us. We had a fabulous welcome pack of food & drink on our arrival and the most perfect 2 weeks holiday. Think we are exaggerating? Then see for yourselves - as we are are definitely not!! A car is definitely an advantage for sightseeing and food shopping (Peyia has the best supermarket) but Coral Bay, about 10 minutes walk, does have everything needed, if you can brave the heat of the walk!

Villa Amalia July 2008

Review Submitted: July 30, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
If you're considering renting Villa Amalia then my advice would be to not waste any time and just do it! You will not be disappointed, we've rented villas in different countries for many years now and this was by far the best. The pictures on the website are an accurate portrait of the villa and its surroundings
and the details of the facilities and accommodation are also spot on. The villa is cleaned and the towels changed twice a week and there were plenty of towels provided for all of us.

We were holidaying as two families with teenage children and there was plenty of space /bedrooms/bathrooms etc for all of us. The snooker table, darts and playstation 2 were very popular, particularly when the weather was a little too hot but the outright favourite facility was the table tennis table - perfectly positioned in the shade under the balcony. The swimming pool is a perfect size for games of volleyball, swimming a few lengths or just sitting in to cool off - it is also very clean and well maintained by the pool man. The steps adjacent to the pool lead down to a rocky area on the cliff edge where the more adventurous can swim in the sea (look out for the jetskiers though!) and any fishermen among you may even be able to catch supper. The uninterrupted views on all levels of the villa are spectacular, particularly the view from the roof top terrace. You can see right across Coral Bay and watch the boats as they come in and out of the bay during the day.

The main beach which offers all kinds of water sports (jet skis, banana boat, pedallos etc) as well as sunbeds is only a 10 minute walk from the villa and the prices for the activities are reasonable. The restaurants, bars and shops are only a 10-15 minute walk in the opposite direction of the beach - close enough to enjoy but far enough away not to disturb the peace of the villa. There are many different restaurants and bars to choose from, so you will find something to suit all tastes.

Amalia is a lovely hostess who is more than happy to recommend restaurants, give advice on how to get to the nearest supermarket (there is a large well stocked supermarket just a 10 minute drive away), recommend places of interest to visit and is always just a phone call away if you have any problems whilst in the villa. We would like to say thank you to Amalia for allowing us to stay in her beautiful villa and we would very much like to stay there again.

Villa Amalia - Coral Bay - 28 May - 4 June 2008

Fishboy & Nickles Liverpool, Merseyside, England
Review Submitted: June 5, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
All the details on the web page were very accurate. On arrival it exceeded all our expectations. It looked palatial from the outside with beautiful, fragrant flowers in bloom all around the doorway. We were pleased with the gated, secure drive in for our two cars and with the numbered keypad for access to the door key. We had been delayed for several hours and it was dark when we arrived. The villa was spotlessly clean and smelled fresh and welcoming when we walked in the door. The bedrooms, living room and kitchen were all well furnished and spacious. The accommodation over 3 floors suited us well as there were three families, including children of 8,4 and 10 months. With 3 daughters, it was amazing to have the use of so many bathrooms, especially the one adjacent to the large pool. The pool room was used on several nights as was the gym (briefly!!). The welcome pack was magnificent and included wine, fruit, butter, jam, bread, tea, coffee, water and lots, lots more. Mrs Amalia was delightful and so helpful when we saw her. She loved the children and they loved her back. Grandson Ryan actually wrote in the visitors book (without being asked) and said he wanted to go back soon. We actually asked about booking again for next year as we were so impressed. Also, as an example, the CD player was not working properly and within an hour Mrs A had bought us a brand new one. She had left us spare batteries and asked if we needed more - or anything else - we should just tell her. She gave us advice about the locality and places to see. The location was fantastic with 61 stairs to a private place and wonderful view. We took some brilliant photos down there. We could see over Coray Bay Beach and the sunset/sunrise was stunning. It was close enough to have a pleasant walk to. Although we had a car, it was possible to walk to the local amenities and we still haven't visited all the bars and shops. Our ages ranged from 50s, 40s,30s,20s and 'kids' (down to 10 months) and all had a fantastic time and wanted to stay longer. The pool was cleaned every few days and the cleaners did an excellent job. Balconies/veranda on every floor with large awnings outside the living room one which kept us cool during meals. Weather was hot (90s) every day but with a pleasant breeze, plenty of umbrellas and shaded terrace area with spectacular views over the Med. Disabled friendly. Been home one day and all the familty have rung to ask about returning May 09.

Simply Enchanting

uni prof London and Somerset, UK
Review Submitted: May 27, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
We spent an enchanting fortnight in villa Amalia May 7-21 2008. All in all the house, its location, the amenities, the service provided exceeded every expectation.

The house itself is large, perfectly maintained, spotlessly clean. It is perfectly designed to open out onto the Med and whether outdoors or indoors one is embraced by its vivid colours and exhilarating smells. A decent sized large swimming pool was a welcome change from the ponds that usually feature as such in other holiday rentals. In addition to the usual amenities expected, a games room and a gym meant that even the most active among us could find things to busy themselves with during 'siesta' time. One felt privileged and pampered simply living in such a delightful place. The bedroom accommodation is on three floors and is suitable both for giving teenagers a sense of freedom as well as for staff.

BUT it’s the location..... It is one of the dream locations for a holiday anywhere in the Med. Right on the sea, with steps down to a jetty, villa Amalia has the most stunning, uninterrupted and privileged views of Coral Bay. The house provides views to spectacular sunsets enjoyed from multiple terraces, rooms and gardens. We have never felt so at peace with the world as when sipping champagne coktails and watching the day retire to its golden bed.

Mrs Amalia, the owner (hence the name), is a charming lady who makes a point of pampering her guests, and she is a store of information about local life and services.

Whether one uses villa Amelia to just laze around enjoying sun and sea, or as a springboard for exploring the rest of the island, it is hard to find anything better or more luxurious on the island.
