bit surprised it was over 3 floors and basement bedroom had no window but an extra shower room! Lots of stairs not suitable for young children, pool lovely clean and quiet wish we'd gone for 2 weeks we enjoyed the house it had everything and great location for all types of restaurants and you can still get a beer for a euro! Go watch Soundchaser good band worth the more expensive drinks for night, thanks to everyone.

Review Submitted: March 10, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
We stayed in this villa in March 2009 and we found it very spacious. The location was really good and the facilities inside the villa were adequate. The only downfall was the comfort or lack of. The sofas in the lounge were hard and had no cushions, there was no coffee table to put drinks on and the TV was not very good ( sound was awful). The outside space was fairly well equipped with 6 sunloungers but only two cushions and the barbeque needed a good clean. Being disabled I do value my comfortable seating and a few padded seat cushions would have made all the difference. Having said all this we did have a great holiday even though the weather was a bit iffy!!.

Ideal Villa - A Great Holiday

Aranalde Norfolk
Review Submitted: February 8, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
Our family of four (parents 65yrs+, and my wife and I, 30yrs) hired this for two weeks. Location was the best bit - harbour, shops, beach all within short working distance. Plentiful selection of places to eat and drink nearby, within 5 mins walk. Taxi rank oppposite - most useful, and always taxis available. Premises were very clean and very well equiped (Sky sports 1 & 2, Setanta, Eurosport and Arabice Showsprots for saturday PM football! - women not happy, as you can imagine! ) Terrace and Balcony both get the sun from an early hour and service staff were really helpful. Good sized, seperate, kitchen with a plethora of utensils. Beds were comfy and linen changed weekly. Towels changes every three days. Quiet at night, but not too far out of the action if that's what you want.
ONLY DRAWBACK - There needed to be a little Spanish man on the terrace to bring me a cool beer, or fan me with a big palm tree leaf. This was most disappointing. Please arrange for his presence next time!
Seriously, book it. You wont be disappointed!

Absolutely perfect villa

The ESSSS Family Hertfordshire, England
Review Submitted: October 29, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
I would totally recommend this villa to both families and couples. It is clean, spacious, modern and in an ideal location. Its close to all amenities; bars, restaurants, shops, taxis, and of course the beach. There is also a large water park just a short walk away. Although it is near everything you need, its also lovely and quiet with beautiful surroundings. I will certainly be returning at some stage in the near future.

Great Holiday in Fanabe

Review Submitted: October 6, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
We have been back a week now from staying for a week at this Villa on the Tegueste Complex.

After reading reveiews before we went we very worried about what we was going to. Upon arrival we were very surprised. The Villa is lovely. I think the whole place has just been refurbished and it is really nice. There is 3 nice size bedrooms each with a brand new ensuite bathroom which are very lovely I must add. As there was only 4 of us we did not use the 3rd room (which is the basement) but we still had a look what it is like. To be honest I have read that there is no windows and it is dark and gloomy but it is not. There is a window in there and it is very light and airy and to be honest how much time do you actually spend in your room!!
The kitchen was also very nice and well equiped as we had a few meals in and everything we needed was there for us to use. We did have one problem where the microwave broke on us and this was replaced the same day! The management services (on site) are very helpful if there is anything you need.
Its also right in the middle of Fanabe so you only have to walk outside the complex to be amongst all the shops and a short 5 min walk to the beach.
I would defiantely recommend staying here and will most definately be going back.

Avoid this property at all costs

Paul006 Glasgow
Review Submitted: September 2, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
This apartment is advertised as budget which should mean basic but clean. However this apartment is dirty, broken and soiled. Do not stay at this apartment as there are much better apartments in the Tegueste complex (which is excellent) and the surrounding area.

We do have photographs to support our issues but these cannot be loaded onto this review.

A summary of our issues are as follows:
Basement
Damp smell.
No ventillation / or opening window.
Runners on the stairs to the basement were loose and dangerous. (we tripped over the stairs several times when going to the safe)

Middle bedroom
Fist hole in the bedroom door.
The bedroom picture on the website depicts a different scene from that which we found. (There is no mirror and the white cane furniture is dirty, dusty and in the basement) The bedroom photograph is therefore totally misleading.

Middle bathroom
Strong smell of sewage / drains. (We bought several bottles of bleach over the fortnight to combat the smell from the drains)
Broken towelrail
Shower holder loose - unable to support shower head when switched on (fixed by managing agent when we complained)

Kitchen
Dirty washing in the washing machine. (Passed to agent)
Fire extinguisher not serviced since 2006. (Would it be any use if needed?)
Very poor water pressure which meant it took ages to fill the sink to wash dishes or to fill the kettle.
Rusty iron and therefore useless.

Top bedroom -
Bed throw torn.
The bed was like a hamock resulting in poor sleep for the duration of our holiday.
Matress protector stained and disgusting.
Matress badly stained and disgusting.
Sun shades badly torn. (Workers actually turned up to replace the shades during our holiday which was inconvenient. Eventually they left as they had the wrong fittings but only after removing the top bedroom shade leaving us with no canopy cover)
Shutter doors did not lock properly making the house (and our possessions) less secure.

Outside back patio
Sun shades badly torn per above.
Owner's Response: This villa was completely refurbished in early September 2008. New bathrooms were fitted throughout the property and the villa has been transformed from traditional Canarian style to modern and contemporary, with clean lines and a black and white Baroque theme throughout.

In relation to the issues detailed above:
1. The basement does have ventilation, as there is an opening window. However, since the renovation,a wall mounted fan has been fitted as well as a free standing fan.The stairs have been repaired during the refurbishment.
2. New doors have been fitted throughout and the bedroom has been re-designed with the addition of new furniture and fabrics. (See pictures.)
3. The smell that occurred was due to the wrong kind of waste trap being fitted. These also dry out with the temperature and subsequently, there is an occassional smell. Bleach will not cure this! This has been rectified with the installation of 3 new bathrooms being fitted. New bathroom accessories have been fitted throughout.
4. There were a few minor issues with the handling agent, which were due to a management handover. We have since spoke with them and any cleaning issues have been resolved. The water pressure is good at the property. All new taps and showers have been fitted therefore, they are limescale free! This can reduce the flow of water. Due to the high fluoride content, we do recommend that bottled water be used for drinks.
5. A new bed has been installed and all sunshades are fitted to the upper and ground floors. All patio doors close and lock.

All comments are taken seriously with us and subsequently, we have re-designed the villa and rectified any outstanding problems with the property. It is in excellent location and condition and is an ideal choice for families or couples. Please view the pictures and judge for yourself!

perfect location villa

Review Submitted: August 9, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
recently stayed in this villa with my family in may 08 although the villa is simply furnished it is clean and very much adequate for a family holiday,
the best part for us was the location to the beech , marina and shops on the doorstep.
the pool area was lovely, it was quit and safe for kids because it has no passing people only those staying on the complex themselfs.
had good communications with the booking all info given was correct and helpful.there is a management office a few doors up who will gladly take care of any problems and offer info if required.
iam considering booking this one again with the price being so cheap.
Jane.

Horrible villa

scarg Dewsbury
Review Submitted: July 30, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
I would not recommend this property as upon arrival the villa was not modernised and had lots of things wrong with it. We complained several times and some of things have been done.

1. Plugs sockets hanging off wall. (Fixed)
2. Smell from one of the ensuites. (Fixed)
3. Springless bed/dirty (now new bed)
4. Patio awning tattered and torn.
5. Furniture as old as the villa itself.
6. Barbecue - just about standing.
7. Bedroom downstairs, no daylight, just a fan circulating warm air.

The whole place is not worth what they are asking.

Had to keep tell the management about the pool being dirty and eventually they listened.
