After arriving with my family in Madeira for the second time - Jan was there to meet us and showed my family and I around his beautiful apartments. This apartment that my uncle and I stayed in was clean and well-maintained, with the most amazing scenery and views across the sea. There was plenty of crockery and utensils for a family of 4 and a washing machine which was a must!!! We all had the most wonderful holiday, and Jan was always on hand if we needed information about the island. We will all be definately seeing you again next year Jan, and many thanks once again for the use of your wonderful apartment

Great apartment

The apartment was comfortable,very clean, well equiped and spacious, with wonderful sea views / sunsets. You waken up to the sound of the waves on the beach.
Jan was there to meet us from the taxi he arranged to pick us up from the airport (reasonable and prompt). After he showed us to the apartment he gave us lots of info about the complex and sournding area. The reception is manned 24 hours with helpful staff.
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday this is for you, a bit out of Funchal, but Funchal town centre is easily accessible, just a short bus or taxi ride away, a courtesy bus runs from the hotel next door or walk about 50mins.
The pool side bar was not open when we were there, but there is a beach bar and a garage bar both less than 100 m away, both fun in a different way, or the hotel bar.
The Fish restaurant and the beach bar are both excellent value and serve good food.
It is worth paying 1 euro a day for the lift key that saves you walking up loads of steps to the main road.
Would we book again? YES PLEASE!!!

This is the best place in Madeira

First of all it is a wonderful hotel apartment withof plenty of space for 4 adults.
Everything we need is there and all is very clean. Also lovely furniture's.
We have stayed many places over the years and this place, we think, is the best. We specially loves the two balconies. The swimming pool area with the jacuzzi is fantastic and also the direct sea access to the beach is brillant..

We are almost fully booked out for the next 6 month, so do not leave it for too long. Fernando & Elvio says hallo from the "Garage Bar" they say you have to come back summer 2010 and we can all watch TV football Denmark or Portugal wind the Wold Cup.

Two balconies with outstanding views of the ocean and breathtaking sunsets! Large swimmingpool downstairs and Beachbar opened all day. Excellent (Fish-) Restaurant with reasonable prices only 50 mt. away ("Restaurante by the sea").
All in all a nice place to be, but certainly not a luxury apartment, because: The TV, a large flatscreen, has only 5 snowy channels and the Internet Connection did not exist, at least not while I was staying there. Had to go to the adjacent Hotel to sit in the Lobby Bar with my laptop!

The flat screen TV has now also DVD and a new cable connection with 40 international channels incl. also (RTL) in German.The Internet WI-FI connection for your lap-top is working on our hotel apartment balconies and swimming-pool area and in the reception free of charge. Maybe the BEST place on Madeira Island !!!

We have as a family been comming to Madeira Island
many times and stayed many places in Funchal, but I must say that this hotel apartment is the best place we have ever been to and it has everything we wanted and more. The hotel apartment is big and has beutifull furnitures and all facilities and we spend must of our time on the two large balconies overlooking the swimmingpool and the Ocean. We love the the jarcuzzy and the swimmingpool and also we spend a lot of time in the beach-bar. We will like hereby to recommend everybody this unique wonderful place, better you will not fine in Madeira. Thank you for a fantastic holiday ! Betty, UK
