Perfect Andalucian Apartment!!

PJ and LG Vail, Colorado, USA
Review Submitted: April 12, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
We just returned from a 10 day stay thinking how lucky we were to have chosen this apartment. It is more beautiful than the pictures, has incredible views, is unbelievably well equipped in every aspect, has free and easy parking, has comfortable and enjoyable areas inside and out, and has a fantastic location. The village of Frigiliana is charming with many good and inexpensive restaurants within walking distance. And you are within easy reach of all the rest of Andalucia including Marbella, Seville, Rhonda, and Granada (the Alhambra is definitely worth a visit). The nearby town (you can see it from the apartment balcony) of Nerja is lovely and is big enough to have supermarkets, too many restaurants to count and everything you could need, but is small enough to explore on foot.

Polly and Boz can give you directions and information on wonderful "off the beaten path" places, as well as on the tourist attractions. They will help you with any problems and answer any questions you might have.

Andalucia is very special part of the world with so much to be enjoyed and savored, including food, wine and natural beauty, and this apartment makes doing that so easy. We will definitely return, and definitely stay longer the next time. Thanks to Boz and Polly for introducing us to Andalucia and all it has to offer.

It Does What it Says On The Can!

The apartment was as described in every particular. The location was excellent, the features were as listed, the apartment was clean and we were duly met and shown the property on arrival. We particularly liked the pretty comprehensive starter pack of supplies from bread and milk through ham and cheese to beer and wine. Frigiliana is a lovely village (although the loveliest bits are a fair walk away) with lots to see and do and plenty of bars and restaurants when you've done enough seeing and doing. The local villagers were friendly and helpful. We would happily recommend the property to a friend or relation.

Excellent 10 day holiday in Frigiliana!

Review Submitted: August 2, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Stayed 22/7 to 31/7/2009.
Have just returned from an excellent 10 day stay at Boz and Polly's apartment. Everything was straightforward once we landed at Malaga, good instructions to apartment which was about a 50 minute drive. Apartment itself in a wonderful location in the hills above Nerja. Well equipped kitchen and nicely furnished. Beach towels and portable sunbeds supplied for the beach which was a bonus. The nearest small town (Nerja) and beach are about a seven minute drive. There are various fairly large and reasonable supermarkets and Nerja beach has blue flag status and a lifeguard, showers etc.
The countryside surrounding the apartment is stunning into the countryside and towards the sea where you can see the lights of Nerja at night.
We would recommend a trip to Granada (about an hours drive) to everyone. We visiting the Alhambra Palace which was amazing and the Sierra Nevada mountains behind are truly spectacular.
Our thanks and best wishes to Boz and Polly.

Home from home (With sun !!)

Review Submitted: May 16, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
This apartment did indeed represent home from home for the two of us. I couldn't think of one single thing that would have made our two weeks any more enjoyable (apart from a third week) We knew that we wouldn't be disappointed as we had used the services of Boz andPolly last year and were aware of their attention to detail. The apartment is in such a peaceful location yet twenty minutes stroll will take you through the new village to the far end of the old village (providing you don't stop at any of the many bars or shops or restaurants) It's impossible!! No high rise, no all day English breakfast. Lovely walks in beautiful surroundings- just what the doctor ordered. The bus stop is very close to the apartment and the driver seems to stop as soon as you stand up. That makes a pleasant change. We always have a car but still like to use the local bus. Our aim is to one year, take the bus from the airport and manage without a car. (This may be a bit too grown up for the 63 year olds that we now are) The welcome pack was very welcome ,particularly the bottle of Cava that we enjoyed at the end of the holiday, playing cards on the roof terrace in the sun. This was our fith visit to Frigiliana since September 2006 but easily the best place at which we have stayed. .

Enjoy, Relaxing Spanish Village life of Frigiliana

Denise & Mike Southampton/Hampshire/England
Review Submitted: May 5, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
Apartment kept in perfect condition making a very comfortable stay.
All amenities to make a relaxing holiday.
Plenty of very scenic walks from the casual hiker to the hardcore! , just ask Boz and he will provide plenty of details.

About a 10 minute walk into main village center, plenty of Spanish Restaurants in easy walking distance of apartment.
Plenty of small local food shops for daily essentials. Supermarkets about 10 minutes away by car in Nerja.
Take coast road east to find plenty of small beaches and coves with spectacular views. Stop for launch at one of La Herradura's beach Restaurants.

Just over 1 hours drive to Granada, well worth a day trip, or if you visit during the winter months there is good skiing 2 hours away at the Sierra Nevada's.

An Andalucian gem

Review Submitted: March 5, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
From the day we made our first enquiry into renting Boz and Polly's appartment we were kept informed at each step and were warmly welcomed by Boz on arrival. We were not sure if we would be flying out to Spain at the beginning of February as England was covered in thick snow!! But we made it and enjoyed our month stay in this lovely appartment.
Think of waking up to a wonderful view of mountains and sea ,then enjoying a leisurely breakfast on the terrace with freshly squeezed orange juice made from the fruit in Boz's garden, sunsets from the roof terrace, fantastic!!
The appartment was spotlessly clean and linen was washed to a very high standard. We appreciated the excellent welcome pack and the home produced olive oil was amazing. In fact Boz and Polly went out of their way and invited us to their home where we enjoyed ham, cheese ,olives and bread before seeing where the olives were growing.
Frigiliana is a scenic village with welcoming locals, lots of restaurants and we recommend Las Chinas with a menu from 9 euros. The bakers which we visited most days just up the road from the appartment has wonderful freshly
baked bread and cakes. We recommend hiring a car for some of your stay to go and visit the lovely villages such as Comares, Alhama de Granada with hot springs ,Competa and Alcaucin.
We would certainly recommend Boz and Polly's appartment and hope to return in the future.

A Perfect Place to Stay

Gen M Northern Ireland
Review Submitted: December 21, 2008 Date of Stay: December 2008
What a wonderful place to stay. The apartment was very well furnished, spotless and comfortable and the views were breathtaking. The owners provided food and drink provisions for our arrival, (including bread, cheese, eggs, tea, coffee, beer etc) which was brilliant as we had arrived on a public holiday and all the shops were shut! The aprtment was also well equiped to make it a home from home, including items such as a hairdrier, iron, cool bag for picnics etc.

Frigiliana is a beautiful village with a friendly atmosphere and more of a Spanish feel then other Costa Del Sol destinations. A car is advised (and there is parking next to the apartment) in order to travel to Nerja, the nearest large town with a beach. It is only 5 - 10 minutes drive from the apartment (in fact you can see Nerja from the balcony).

All in all a wonderful place to stay and the owners were exceptionally helpful. Highly recommended.

Fantastic holiday

Review Submitted: November 19, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2008
We had a fantastic holiday in Frigliana. The apartment was lovely with everything you need for a perfect holiday a real home from home. The roof terrace was amazing with sun all day long and complete with a gas barbecue. Boz & Polly have thought of everything and could not be more helpful and welcoming. Frigliana is a beautiful little village there are lots of walks with a national park on the door step. Lots of pretty little villages in the surrounding area that can be visited and if shopping is your thing there is a large mall with Eroskis hypermarket only 15mins away in Velez-Malaga. There are plenty restuarnats and a few bars in the village if andNerja is only 5mins away by car or you can walk in along the dried up river bed. We had beautiful sunny weather for the whole 9 days of our stay. Would recommend a visit to the donkey sanctuary in Nerja - brilliant for children and adults. We definitely plan to return.
Thak you Boz and Polly for a wonderful holiday.

Arrived with my husband after dark. Boz met us at the apartment and showed us round. One of the best equipped properties we have stayed in, from sun loungers for the beach to umbrellas which both came in handy!
Welcome pack was indeed very welcome as we were able to rustle up a ham and cheese omelette washed down with a bottle of wine. Lovely. Woke up in the morning to beautiful weather and the most stunning views of the mountains and down to the sea. This property is in the best position in such a fantastic unspoilt village. We loved the Thursday market and the walks along the dried up river bed (before the rain).Sometimes it was difficult to tear ourselves away from the roof top terrace, which is just great. Really liked Nerja and the beaches too, only a 10 minute drive. There are so many things we didn't get chance to do, we will definitely return. Thanks Boz and Polly for a great week.
