We stayed at this villa in late Feb 08 and is without doubt the best we have ever stayed in for quality and position. All the equiptment was new and very clean.

If you decide to book the villa I am sure you will have a great time, we did.

Fabulous property in excellent location

North West Girlies Widnes, Cheshire
Review Submitted: November 11, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We arrived at this villa in November during thunderstorms and floods but the property had everything to make us feel warm and welcome. It is superbly decorated throughout and has plenty of room both indoors and out. Furnishings are modern but comfortable. The little extra touches provided by the owners, eg welcome pack, beach towels, toiletries etc were particularly thoughtful. The property is well maintained and spotlessly clean. It is close to the beach and is within strolling disctance of lots of bars, restaurants and shops. Coral Bay is well placed for exploring the island either by car or by the frequent buses less than 5 minutes walk away. We were a group of 4 on a "girlie" holiday but the accommodation would also be suitable for families.
We would certainly recommend this villa and will hopefully visit again soon.

This was our second visit to Paphos, our first being approximately twelve years ago. Although the area has changed considerably, Paphos itself has lost none of its delightful charm, even the weather exceeded our expectations and varied between 30 and 35 degrees.
This was our first experience of a villa holiday, and found Katherine and Mike’s villa to be of a very high standard. Coral Retreat is in a prime location and ideally suited for both couples and families with children. We found no shortage of amenities with everything within reasonable walking distance.
We also found, of equal importance, that Coral Retreat is maintained by a team of expats who are friendly, helpful and informative and deal with any issues promptly and efficiently.
The information pack with hints and tips provided by Katherine prior to our holiday were particularly useful as she obviously has extensive knowledge of Coral Bay and the surrounding areas.
Thanks to Kath and Mike we had a wonderful holiday, they have a villa to be proud of!

A great find!

My husband and I and our 5 year old son visited Coral Bay late August 09. It was the first time we've hired a villa in Cyprus and based on our stay at Coral Retreat, will not be going back to hotel holidays. I was really pleased with my choice when we arrived and I'd recommend it to my friends.

Coral Retreat is a bright and modern villa with ample open plan living space downstairs and three good sized rooms upstairs so we had ample space to spread out even when my friend and her family visited, it felt large enough to house us all comfortably.

All the rooms are spotlessly clean and stylishly decorated. Pristine white sheets and plenty of lovely fluffy cream towels. If you get chilly with the air con there are bed covers in most rooms. The pool was superb - sunny in the morning till the mid afternoon and then shady by about 5pm - which believe me you are grateful for.

When you arrive there will be a welcome pack of essential items such as bread milk and butter to list a few. This of course means when you get in from that long day of traveling you can make your self a lovely cup of tea, relax on the comfy leather sofa and make yourself at home (that's what I did anyway, I think the boys just jumped straight into the pool!)

Coral Retreat is maintained by a great team of expats - they are really friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. They have a good knowledge of the area and can give you helpful advice and recommendations. They cleaned the pool twice a week and this, they say, helps prevent problems such as ear infections - very important when you have small children.

The location is also a bonus. Coral Mews is a quiet residential area - just far enough away from the main strip for the noise not to be bothersome but only 5 mins walk away from it all when you need it. The villa is so quiet during the day - perfect for families with children of all ages.

All in all a great holiday!

Great location and fabulous pool

Review Submitted: August 9, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
This was our fourth trip to Cyprus but our first holiday at this Villa.
Clean, modern and bright. Well furnished with all the facilities you could need.
The pool was a huge hit with us and we used it every day.
The location is excellent with restaurants a short walk away and an internet cafe at the end of the mews.
The restaurants and large supermarkets of Paphos are a 10 minute car drive away.
An ideal villa for couples or families who want excellent facilities, clean and modern furniture and their own pool.
We have rented many times all over the world and this was one of the very nicest that we have visited. We would certainly use it again when we re-visit. The owners were very helpful and friendly and the management company were also excellent.

SUPERB

Well what can I say – but what a fabulous Villa Coral Retreat is we have just returned home after a 2 week stay from July 21st – August 4th 2009.
The Villa is very well kept and the garden area is very spacious with ample room for the kids to play. The pool was a god send as temperature averaged 38 and even hit 44 on 2 of the days we were there, so a dip in the pool was essential !!

The Villas location was spot on - 2 minute stroll and you were on the main strip of Coral Bay with an abundance of Restaurants, Supermarkets and Souvenir shops.
We would recommend Seriani Restaurant, The Elephant Bar and Restaurant, Samisen (Japanese Teppanyaki) and Rio Grande to name but a few. One other well worth a visit but a little further away is Jade Palace, Corallia (Chinese Restaurant).

Katherine and Mike arranged for us to be picked up from the airport which was very helpful, we then arranged with the taxis firm to collect us from the Villa on the day of our departure.

Although not essential we hired a car from Nestor car hire, turn right at the end of the road, 30 Euros per day and well worth it as it allowed us to explore more of Cyprus ie Paphos, Limasol, Lara Beach, Coral Bay Beach and the Bird Park to name a few - all worth a visit.

Coral Bay Beach offers a variety of water sport and can be very busy where Lara Beach was very quiet and relaxing.

We would highly recommend Villa Coral Retreat to anyone who is thinking of holidaying in Cyprus and will definitely be looking to stay there again.

Thanks to Katherine and Mike for giving us the opportunity to stay in their beautiful villa.

Excellent!

Wow - what a great place!! The villa was absolutely fantastic; exactly as described, very clean, fabulous location, spacious, well equipped and just perfect for our 2.5 week holiday to Cyprus. We got married in Peyia Town Hall whilst there and Katherine (the owner) could not have been more helpful, with her local knowledge and great ideas she proved more useful than the wedding planner!! We stayed at the villa with four adults and one (small) child and there was more than enough space. The pool/garden area is very big - perfect for little ones to play and wander around, and the gazebo in the garden meant endless long lunches on the patio making great use of the barbeque - but with the shade needed, and it proved a perfect setting for our (small) reception for which we hired private caterers to cook for us at the villa!!

We hired a car for some of the time, mainly to get us to the wedding! and for the supermarket trips but you do not need to have a car as everything is within walking distance. Katherine and Mike arranged our transport from the airport which was very helpful and then we hired the car locally for the time we needed it.

Coral Bay itself has some lovely restaurants - find King Soloman's for a traditional meze - we thought they were wonderful! and the Japensese (our favourite) was absolutely delicious, between us we went three times! There was a great little childrens amusement area nearby which was really sweet and our son loved it (great for those early evening walks before bedtime!

It was the perfect holiday/wedding/honeymoon and made all the more perfect by having such a lovely villa to base ourselves from. I would definately recommend this to everyone I know and would not hesitate in going back (and will hopefully get the opportunity to do so!).

Just what we were after

Donna, James & Elliott Cambridge, UK
Review Submitted: May 11, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
Coral Retreat was exactly what we were after for our first holiday abroad with our 20 month old son and we had a fantastic time. Unfortunately the swimming pool was a little too chilly to venture into (April) but we enjoyed spending time by the pool, eating our family meals together (cooked on the barbie) under the gazeebo in the evening. The villa is in a great location and only a short drive from Paphos. As we arrived during Cypriot Easter weekend (a different weekend to in the UK), we were very thankful for the welcome pack, as a number of the larger supermarkets were closed. The property was very clean and tidy and is obviously looked after. We would recommend it to friends and family. Thanks to Katherine and Mike for giving us the opportunity to stay in their beautiful villa and for being so helpful both before, during and after the holiday.

We had a tremendous time at Coral Retreat - it had all the facilities you need and was very child friendly. The pool and outside area are very generous in size as well so you don't have to leave if that way inclined!

Make sure you drive North towards Lara Beach to get away from the crowds and visit the Tombs of the Kings.
