Reviews of Property: Chiado central holiday rentals apartment

The apartment was great, it provided in everything we needed. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Lisbon. We enjoyed every minute of the wonderfull view at the cathedral, the castle and the monastary. The location is perfect. Fresh bread at the opposite of the street. Lots of nice restaurants. We loved to go out in Bairro Alto, Rua Diario Noticitas, a good wine bar, restaurants Ultimo Tango, Cochina Alentejana. We also liked the Indian-Italian restaurant at Largo do Carmo. From Rossio Station you can easily make a trip to Sintra, The Palace is beautifull but the park with its ancient trees is even more impressive. We would certainly recommend this apartment and hope to return one day.

I gave this place 4 (good) because of couple of small things: they only provided 4 of us with one pair of keys claiming that it takes very long time to make duplicates, since previous tenant lost them; they are missing some bulbs in the bathrooms; the owen was not working during our stay but they made attempt to fix it next day or so...
Other than that the place is clean, the view is great, they gave us a bottle of wine. I would stay there again. Recommended.

I strongly recommend this beautiful apartment. It is light and spacious, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and ideal e.g. for two couples traveling together to Lisbon as in our case.

Being on the 5th floor, it provides the most magnificent view of the city, all the way to the castle on the hill (illuminated at night) and to the cathedral. And I cannot imagine a more central position than Rua Garrett for getting around to the different areas of the city, near the Rossio Square and the Baixa-Chiado metro station.

Fado is of course a must when visiting Lisbon. We tried a couple of places, and will recommend Adega do Ribatejo (Rua Diario de Noticias in Bairro Alto). Good food, good fado singing (also by the cook!), and at reasonable prices compared to other, more “tourist-oriented” fado restaurants.

We will most probably return to this city and this apartment sometime in the future.

This apartment exceeded our expectations! Not only was the location absolutely spot on, but it was clean, well-maintained and had a gorgeous view of the city, sea and castle! Because it was so centrally-located, there was quite a bit of noise at night, but if you switched the fan on in the room, you couldn't hear it. Paulo (the owner) was VERY responsive to any questions that I had prior to our stay. He was very helpful! I would highly recommend this place for anyone who comes to Lisbon and wants to be able to walk to just about anything!
