2 Irish families

Review Submitted: September 29, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We were 2 irish families who spent 18 days at Villa Tranquila. We thought the villa looked good on the web, but we were not prepared for the reality. It was the best home we have ever rented over the last few years (USA, France & Spain). The website does not do it true justice, the views are stunning at all times of day.

The location was perfect for us as we wanted to do a lot of sightseeing. The proximity to Granada and the Sierra Nevada was fantastic and meant we did not spend long days in the car. The town of Salobrena gave us a true taste of Spain, such a contrast to the overcrowded resorts further west and we enjoyed the real Tapas, free with each drink in many of the tows bars.

I would recommend the villa and town to anyone who wants to savour the real Spain and live in luxurious surroundings.

A perfect place for a big family, a nice house with all facilities, very clean and weel-maintained.

Everything worked satisfactorily, and the little things which turned up Graham and his wife took care of with panache. My compliments to Graham for his quick action.

We can only recommend it to others

A wonderful holiday in Salobrena, Villa Tranquila

Review Submitted: July 8, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We spent a relaxing holiday in Salobrena: We found everything as described! The house and the pool were clean, the facilities were in best order, the view was great from all terraces. We felt very comfortable there. Salobrena is a nice town with a wonderful silent beach (in May/June). Especially the restaurants on the beach offer delicious seafood and we do recommend this villa as well as its surrounding to our friends. Also, there are a lot of possibilities to make sightseeing tours. The owner of the villa is pretty friendly and his advice was very helpful. All things were handled very uncomplicated. Our children enjoyed this holiday as much as we did!

Very comfortable and clean villa. Free internet access. Telephone line. Garden with free-to-pick oranges, lemons and grapefruits. Big veranda with lots of sun. Adequate parking space for four cars. Must use car for going to the beach, restaurants and shops. Easy to contact pleasant caretaker who responds quickly. Was there also last year and hope to return next year. Would recommend the villa to retired friends.

a lovely visit to Salobreña

The villa was "as advertised." Accommodations were clean; views from all the balconies were exquisite. The town of Salobreña is charming--with some excellent restaurants, lovely beach walks, and its very own castle. The owner was easy to deal with and responded promptly to email queries when I was making vacation arrangements. We will certainly recommend the villa to our friends.

We had in Septembre a fantastic holiday, the house offers plenty of space and privacy. There was enough material in the kitchen to prepare delicious meals, except for a garlic press, which was missing, but we have bought and left for the next guest. The house was not completely clean when we arrived and found that a little unfortunate. The cushion of the bank outside would be a new jacket and permit the blinds was not entirely complete, was also not a problem for us, but in the warm summer months that is a loss.
Furthermore, only praise for this magnificent villa.

Owner's Response: Customers arrived earlier than expected, as the villa was being cleaned. Cushion cover changed since.

Amazing value for money villa

Review Submitted: October 8, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
My family and I stayed at the Villa for a week to celebrate my brothers 60th birthday. What an amazing time we had! My husband and I have stayed in two other villas in Granada this villa was far more superior than them all. It was easy to find, clean with every possible comfort we could wish for. My youngest brother would have wished to have a bar of his own. This wish was granted the pool bar was stocked all week. My eldest brother craves seclusion, this was also granted. My eldest sister likes the privicy of a bathroom of her own - granted. My husband likes to walk and enjoys exploring the hills and shoreline- granted. My sister in law likes the shops - granted. My other sister in law likes to swim- granted. Myself the enjoyment of the beautiful views and the pleasure of well stocked gardens also the ability to pick fruit for our many exotic drinks supplied by my brother at the pool bar. The beautiful fragrance of jasmine which was located by the entrance was amazing. We all would recomend this villa to young and old and would have no hesitation to recommend to friends. We will return.

Luxury holiday in the sun

Our first stay in December in a family group was so good that we returned the following year. Weather there was good even in winter. The villa was spacious, well-equipped & clean and situated in a quiet area. Great views over the coast while having a BBQ on the terrace. The family-sized pool was put to good use and having a jacuzzi under the stars was memorable ! We enjoyed trips to the Nerja caves and Alhambra. Salobrena is a picturesque town and doesn't have the crowds found in Malaga.
Thoroughly recommended !
