Our Italian holiday

Salima London
Review Submitted: September 15, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
I coulldn't have wished for a better location to introduce my family to the Italian way of life. Our hosts were generous and always availabe to give advice on places to go, things to eat.
30 minutes outside of Napoli meant we had the opportunity to mingle with the locals and discover a bit more about that part of the world (and very importantly not pay tourists prices).
We were lucky to have a car which without it would have been a nightmare holiday. We were 30 minutes away from Pompei and all the beautiful towns of the Amalfi coast full of people so it was always nice to come back to the tranquil palace (fully air con too).
The rooms were spacious and tastefuly decorated and always clean. We felt at home and not in a hotel and that was crucial.
The children were incredibly welcomed and enjoyed the swimming pool, the cats and the beautiful orange trees that surrounded us.
Breakfast was included and always had a healthy choice.
I think we could have done with a bigger fridge to accomodate all the girls (three of them) needs but we managed.
My advice would be not to stay as long as we did (10 days) as the choice of restaurants (pizza and pasta) was running thin being the August month.
It is the ideal spot for a romantic getaway, surrounded by beauty and history. And we will never forget out hosts.
We would go back and I have already spoken to all my friends about catelcicala.

The perfect place to stay near Naples

Review Submitted: August 25, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We stayed here in May 2009. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful, offering suggestions of places to visit and even printed off Google maps for us. The rooms were delightful and charming, and the food was wonderful. The wine from the family's own vineyard was excellent too!
A car is essntial around here and this is the ideal place to base yourself.

A Splendid Welcoming 'Sanctuary'

Snodgrass Leicestershire, England
Review Submitted: May 18, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
Christine, Tim, Sue & Robin - We have just returned from a splendid week at the Relais CastelCicala. The individual suites are spacious, tastefully furnished, immaculately clean and provide the guest with every convenience possible. We swam in the pool, relaxed on the private sun terrace, enjoyed aperitifs under the shade of the ancient trees in the courtyard, and ate delicious traditional Italian cuisine. I would certainly recommend a holiday at Relais CastelCicala - a 'Sanctuary' for the weary traveller.

splendida...
