Ted's First Holiday

annajohnted Newcastle upon Tyne, UK
Review Submitted: March 30, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
We were looking for a last minute bargain somewhere warm from which we could walk or drive for days out with our 11 month old baby. This was the perfect spot.

The simple, well-equipped villa met all our needs during our week long stay and included a superb high chair and cot. Inside the accommodation was clean and well laid out with a basic kitchen, great little bath(as well as a shower) and TV/DVD/CD. The outside space provided plenty of sunbathing spots as well as welcome shade and a brilliant area for baby Ted to crawl, all among orange groves and a superb mountain backdrop. We ate every meal outdoors enjoying the bird song by day and the stars by night. The pool looked incredibly inviting but we soon realised that March is a little early in the year for the water to have warmed up and steered clear after one bone-chilling dip.

Despite it being a little chilly for days on the beach, we found plenty to do, from strolling into Pollenca with the buggy(15 mins) to driving further afield to Soller and Arta. We particularly enjoyed an early evening meal of tapas and Pa Amb Oli in Pollenca's main square, watching the world go by. Other highlights included the tram to Port Soller, Pollenca's Sunday market and the Cap de Formentor. We also enjoyed the local pastries, homemade freshly squeezed orange juice and fabulous olives(even the value range at the supermarket provided delicious olives and chorizo).

We feel really pleased to have found such a wonderful villa so close to the town but with a real country atmosphere. It met all our needs and we were even lucky with the weather. On top of all that, we received excellent customer service from the owner. We found Guillem to be very welcoming and helpful with great English. He provided us with a clear map to reach the villa and came mid-week to replenish the towels and clean. Fantastic!

We would recommend this property to friends and family without hesitation.

This is a lovely simple property as you can probably tell from the photos. The pool and outdoor area were definitely the highlight and would be perfect for famililies with children. We found the owner to be very nice and welcoming. The property is within walking distance of Pollensa town centre (about 20 minutes away) where there are lots of nice restaurants and coffee shops. Although the walk back in the dark can be tricky (we kept getting lost in the old streets of pollensa). We liked it so much we are already dreaming about when we can go again!

Our stay in February 2009

What a great location!
Our days started with fresh orange juice made from oranges coming out of the garden.
The environemnt was great with very nice views to the surrounding mountains. Although it was February, we could comfortably sit outside in the sun near the swimming pool. The distance to Pollensa is very acceptable (about 15 minutes walk).
Although the furnature and kitchen equipment is simple, we did not miss any basic things.
The owner gave excellent service, the propoerty was very clean and well maintained.
But be careful with putting the hot tea pot on the table in the living room, the (waxed?) table doesn't like this.

Thanks for this great experience,
Two (almost) married couples.

This property is fantastic. It's fairly compact, but the garden/orchard is huge, and the swimming pool superb. I was there in December and it was silent, though even in peak season it would still be peaceful as the nearest neighbours are about 75 metres away. A pleasant 10 minutes walk into Pollenca. The inside is, in fact, much nicer and brighter than it looks in the pictures. Local owners exceptionally pleasant (many thanks for giving me an umberella when I arrived in the rain). Fantastic views from the garden and one of the bedroom windows. I expect it's really dear in summer, but it would be worth it if you had that sort of money.

A Pollensa gem

Seajay Bangor Northern Ireland
Review Submitted: November 15, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
Pollensa is our idea of the perfect family holiday location. It's large enough to hold a cluster of enticing restaurants and a spectacular Sunday market, yet it still retains a Mallorquin air. The people are friendly, the scenery lush and within a few minutes you can be on the beach at Porto Pollensa underneath the pine trees.
We've stayed in the area quite a few times at various types of properties and have generally been pleased with them all. Last summer we decided to put all our experiences together to define the ideal villa - after all, we only seem to be able to get away once every two years, so our days in the sun are ultra precious.
Top of our list was location - far enough away from the town or busy roads to find peace and quiet but close enough to allow us to dander in of a morning for shopping, a relaxing lunch and a pleasant stroll home. This villa had distance spot on. Once off the main road, it was just a delight to wander the lanes back to the villa.
Next we wanted facilities. Med summers are hot and with two children in tow we knew that air conditioning was a must. Previously we had hired machines for villas but what attracted us to this little gem was the built in automatic units. A good night's sleep was guaranteed and that always makes mum, dad and children happy!
It's good fun shopping at the local market and then trying out your favourite Spanish cuisine at your villa - so a simple but functional kitchen was another requirement. But to be truthful, one of the joys of a holiday is not having to worry about the cooking and this villa's little kitchen was exactly what we needed. The barbeque area beside the pool was another must - our food was delicious - and the fact that the kitchen was close to the vital shady terrace was another bonus - wine could stay in the fridge until we needed topping up!
The bedrooms were clean and practical - as was the bathroom and little lounge. Who needs a lounge you might ask - but young teenagers do need to chill out of the pool and the sun sometimes!
And that pool...pristine and modern with it's own jacuzzi feature - we couldn't have asked for more. Surrounded by hills, greenery and fruit trees it was the sort of location that takes all those stresses, cares and worries and just washes them away. Relaxing around the pool in the evening the sparkling starry skies were an entertainment we never thought our children would enjoy so much.
Mush loved by its welcoming, careful owners and by us.
Perfect.

COUNTRY HOUSE POLLENCA WITH SUPER POOL

Bamps Cardiff
Review Submitted: November 14, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
My family enjoted a fortnight here in August and were very pleased with the choice. The Pool and external areas are all relatively new and whilst the internal furniture and furnishing is basic it is adequate and fully equipped.

The owner is very welcoming, helpful and approachable. I would not hesitate in recommending to anyone who wants peace and quiet but is still only a short car journey away from Peurto Pollenca town and beach!

This was the best location for a villa we have ever stayed at, peaceful and secluded. Really helpful local owners. It was the ultimate relaxing holiday but within easy driving distance of Pollenca and the beaches. We will return! Villa was clean, functional and well equipped.

Bezaubernd

Vielen Dank, hope to be back next year,
