This is a lovely flat!

My husband, my two young sons and I had a marvelous holiday here and I would reccommend this flat to anyone. It was very comfortable, sparkling clean, beautifully furnished, and the kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. Full of plants and sunshine! Feria Street had every kind of shop you could want, and the near-by Alameda was a brilliant place for all of us (leafy and green with no cars, so safe for the boys to run around in, and full of nice outside cafés for the parents to have a drink in). A few blocks from the historic city walls at the Macarena in one direction, and a pleasant amble down Feria and into the pedestrian shopping district leading to the Cathedral in the other. Excellent value for money.

A great place to stay in Seville!

Our family stayed for 5 days in Peter’s apartment and we really loved it! The apartment is clean, very quiet, spacious enough for 4 and as a great terrace. The neighborhood is very friendly and it is only a 15 minutes walk to the main tourist attractions (should you prefer, bus # C3 is around the corner and get you there in 5 minutes or a taxi is less than 5 euros away) . The greeter, Inma is very friendly. As for Seville, although we have been traveling for nearly a year with our children and have seen many wonderful cities, we know for sure we will return as 5 days are not enough to discover it! No doubt we will come back then to Peter’s place!

The appartment exceeded our expectations as it was furnished and equipped to a high standard, and really felt like a home. It was spotless on arrival and the agent was extremely helpful throughout our stay. We thought that the location was ideal as well, in a lively area, close enough to the centre to walk, and yet the appartment was fantastically quiet.

We liked Grenada better than Seville but this apartment was fine. The only thing that surprised us was that the beds were not already made when we arrived.

Seville is a very nice city and we thus enjoyed our stay. The apartment was average, not very clean, not very comfortable (especially the couch and the bed), though quiet and well equipped. Stores and bars are quite abundant in the area.

The ad is a bit misleading: the neighborhood is not central Seville, but the Macarena; it takes a little bit more than 15 minutes on foot to Santa Cruz; 4 people might find it cramped as there is only one shelf to put some of the clothes and no other closet space; in the second bathroom the shower enclosure is used to store the vacuum cleaner and some brooms; and it is definitely not suited for elderly or infirm, as the bedroom(s) are up a winding and narrow staircase. Families with young children might find the staircase also a little bit dangerous.

I imagine that 5 young travelers could find the place attractive and cool, but for a North American middle aged couple like us, the apartment was just OK.
Owner's Response: The historic center of Seville is divided into various neighbourhoods, such as Santa Cruz, La Macarena, El Arenal, Triana and El Centro. The cathedral is in Santa Cruz (as are all the Japanese tourgroups). Triana is the area across the river and The Plaza de Toros is in El Arenal. The shopping streets are in El Centro and the Alameda de Hercules is in La Macarena.
The apartment is in the neighbourhood of Feria street and the Alameda de Hercules, a.k.a. La Macarena, not only the oldest part of Seville, but also the liveliest and most authentic. From the apartment it's a nice 15-minute walk through winding and colourful streets to the cathedral.

The lady who wrote this review had some problem with the cleaning lady, who hardly speaks English. Hence the comment probably about the apartment not being clean enough.
Inma, the cleaning lady, works hard and is very nice as well. In the past she has taken people to see a doctor when needed and shown them around Seville on other occasions.
I asked her about this renter and according to her there were some misunderstandings that were the result of the language-barrier.

The stairs in the apartment are steep for some people, but not narrow or dangerous.
The bed is comfortable though not king-size. The couch is an IKEA-couch for three persons. Maybe that's not good enough for some people, but it is for the big majority of my renters.

I've had the apartment for five years and I still absolutely love it. I love how quiet it is, in such a hectic and often noisy city. I love the neighbourhood with all it's character, old-fashioned bars and nice restaurants and I love how everything Seville has to offer is within walking-distance.

We enjoyed our stay very much, the property was in excellent condition, although the quality of the bedding was a let down.
Other than that it felt just like being at home, comfortable, clean and with all the facilities that you'd need when on holidays. Excellent transport links and very close to fantastic local shops and the market for food.
Also lots of tapas and cafes nearby and the commercial centre of the city within a 15 minutes walk. I would recommend to my friends anytime.
