Holiday 2009

Ronnie and Irene Nairn, north of Scotland
Review Submitted: September 13, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Would have no hesitation on recommending this apartment. The description of the apartment and area are very accurate. We were met at the apartment by Declan and Helen who took time to explain how everything worked and about the area. We had a comfortable stay in the apartment which was well equiped with everything you need including extras like the welcome pack, books, games etc. We hired a car for travelling further afield than Nice but used the trams, bus and the train all of which are within a few minutes of the apartment to get around NIce. Plenty of good restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Apartment is great value for money.

When booking the apartment nothing was too much trouble for Declan, he answered any questions we had promptly.

We really enjoyed Nice. The near Railstation is perfect to discover the Côte d'Azur.
A little bit loud if you sit on the balcony.

Perfect location in Nice

Review Submitted: August 8, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We stayed in this apartment in July 2009 and had a very enjoyable holiday. It is only a 5 min. walk from the train station and the shuttle bus to Nice airport which makes it very easy to travel along the Cote d'Azur. It is a bright and spacious apartment with a very homely feel. There is a very good selection of books and local information guides which we found very useful. The large balcony is ideal for outside dining morning and evening. The local shop 'Cocci market' is very convenient and offers good value and excellent service.
The beach is within walking distance as are the main shopping areas and restaurants. The apartment is also near the new tram line which is very good value at €3 per day!
The owner Declan provided excellent customer service and was very professional in dealing with all of our correspondence.
Marilia who met us on arrival was most helpful and friendly.
We would highly recommend this apartment for any visit to Nice or as a base for exploring the Cote d'Azur.

The owner provided excellent customer service promptly replying to all enquiries.
This apartment is easily accessed from the airport using the local bus service to the train station, it is then just a short walk along Ave Auber.
The property is well maintained, comfortable and is equipped for all your self catering needs.
The agent was welcoming and was available anytime if needed.
This is a perfect base for exploring the Cote D'zur by train.
The tourist road train in Monaco was particularly good value.
Would definitely recommend this apartment.

Recently spent a week in this apartment and will definitely return.

Excellent location and property is equipped with wireless internet, telephone, extensive TV channels, a wide range of books etc which meant that we were kept fully entertained during our stay.

Also took full advantage of the terrace, loved sitting out in the evenings after with a bottle of wine (or two!) and relaxing after each day's activities.

Owners were helpful and made every effort to ensure we had an enjoyable stay, providing us with tourist information, maps and local restaurant recommendations - many thanks!

The perfect break

Mum&daughter Dublin, Ireland
Review Submitted: February 24, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
Stayed here during Carnival week. The location was a perfect base, for Nice itself- we were a stone's throw from everywhere, and the whole Cote D'Azur. We even got to go skiing one day ! Amazing. The apartment had everything you could think of, sooooo comfortable and clean, was like home from home, would def go back. Liked that I didn't have to go buying salt/sugar etc either, that was even there in Welcome Basket provided by owner! Even rubber gloves in the kitchen for those of us particular about our hands! Great apartment, great location. Owner was very helpful when I was making my booking.

19 Ave Auber, Nice

Review Submitted: October 21, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
This property was ideally suited to our holiday in Nice where we found ourselves staying in the midst of the local community. We were 5 minutes' walk from the station, making access to other towns and areas very easy, and 10 minutes' stroll from the front. The facilities around us were excellent. The apartment was spotless, well-appointed and within easy reach of superb restaurants and bars. It was well-equipped and there were many helpful leaflets and maps for our information in the apartment which were very useful. The lift in the property was well-maintained and the entrance to the whole apartment block was regularly cleaned and secure. Our dealings with the owner were of a highly satisfactory standard and we would have no hesitation in recommending this property to friends and family. We ourselves would love to return as we found so much we would still like to do in Nice and its surrounding area. Top marks all round!

The apartment was easy to find. Very close to train which was excellent. Also close to town. The property was well maintained and kitchen well supplied if you wanted to cook in. There were just a couple of little items missing, eg no batteries in TV remote control, bulb out in bedside lamp, but these are only minor and easily rectified. I would have no hesitation in recommending this holiday apartment to my friends.

Celine, our rep replaced batteries and bulb when informed. We now have spare batteries and bulbs available for guests to insure no repeat problems.

Description accurate.Clean and well maintained.Very efficient customer service by owner and his agent in Nice.To be recommended.
WIFI never worked despite report to agent.
Very well positioned in city.
Baracuda restaurant in Rue Mayerber superb, but expensive.
Close enough to rail station to be convenient, but not too close, which is not desirable in Nice.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: Fair review. There are lots of restaurants close by to suit all tastes and budgets.. The Wifi was disconnected at the time. This had only recently been installed and there was a mix-up regarding billing! It has now been reconnected.

The perfect spot for your holiday in Nice

Review Submitted: April 9, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
Me and my 17yr old daughter stayed in this apartment in April 2008. Our initial enquiry was answered promptly and the property was exactly as described.

We arrived at Nice station on the bus from the airport (it only took around 30 mins) and were able to walk to the apartment which took around 5 mins or so. It was very easy to find and our first impressions were that it was a very smart and well maintained block of apartments. On arrival we were greeted by Celine who showed us round the apartment and explained where the shops etc were and also which sights were umissable.

The apartment was spotless with a beautiful bathroom and a lovely spacious bedroom and livingroom. The kitchen is compact with new appliances and there was all the equipment we needed. Also, Nice tap water is wonderful. It's very soft, just like the water in Sheffield so it's lovely for making tea or washing your hair.

The lovely light and airy bedroom had plenty of hanging space and was very comfortable. The bedding was fresh and crisp and the towels were white and fluffy.

The TV only picked up French channels but this was a blessing as it meant that my daughter wasn't glued to American soaps - she spent time reading and we listened to the radio which was very relaxing.

The area is very safe. On two evenings we walked from the cinema late at night back to the apartment and didn't feel at all nervous.

Nice is great for a short break. Where else could you see a magnificent Russian orthodox church, visit a jewish cemetery, walk around a marina, or sit in the sunshine in the old town eating crepes and ice-cream (in 98 flavours)?

The buses are cheap even if they don't always run according to the timetable and the 7-day saver Ligne d'Azure bus ticket is fantastic value at 15 euros as you can use it on the buses and the tram. Buy one as you leave the airport and you can use it to travel into Nice.

The Friday market in Ventimille is interesting .. only about 20 mins by train but it's in Italy, they speak Italian and it's much more provincial. The train runs along the coast so the views are spectacular. Fantastic bargains if you like handbags and stuff like that.

I would recommend this property (in fact I already have!) and would definitely stay here again. It was really nice.
