Venice for 3 vacation

Wayne/June Illinois USA
Review Submitted: November 3, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
The apt. was clean and well equipped for either a couple or a couple with 1-2 small children. The sofabed was extremely uncomfortable for the 3rd person in our party, so she slept on the sofa each night which she said was more comfortable. Apt. was very convenient to everything. We enjoyed our apt. and our vacation. We would recommend it but not for more than 2 adults.

We were very content, the appartment was well-maintained, clean and very well located in the city center
The organisation was perfect, thanks to Nicoletta.

Lovely apartment

We stayed at this flat end of May 2009. I would agree with the description. We were three (two adults and our little girl) and it was very comfortable. Our daughter who is 3 and a half slept with us in our bed which was ample enough. We ate most of our dinners out but ate breakfast and lunch in the apartment which as well equiped for cooking. There was no dishwasher but we didn't mind. I tried the pullout bed but found that it was not very comfortable (thin mattress) so can't imagine anyone except maybe teenagers wanting to sleep on it. There were markets nearby that we got our milk, bread and fruit. Everything is nearby, you just had to get lost a few times to find your way. The restaurants in Cannereggio district were much nicer than the ones in the more touristy areas. But you really can't go wrong. We found a pizza place that was excellent near the apartment across the plaza and over a small bridge..sort of diagonal to the flat. I forget the name but there is a gelato kiosk right before it which was also very good. The owners were very nice and accommodating. They make themselves available for any questions you may have and provided someone to meet us to find the apartment whch would have been close to impossible if they hadn't. We would definitely stay there again. Hope this helps.

A wonderful week in venice

We found the appartment perfect for us( a 55yr+ couple) . It was just as described and we found it modern with excellent facilities, clean and well maintained. The location was very central and convenient to San Marco and Rialto and yet quiet and peaceful ,particularly at night. There is a supermarket nearby and a small convenience shop even closer. The kitchen is very functional with adequate utensils so it is easy to eat in if you wish or if not there are good restaurants nearby. The markets at Rialto are vibrant and we bought good fish and fruit and vegetables there .
We roamed far and wide and rarely got lost as the map provided was excellent. Having the apartment circled on the map and the route to San Zacharia ferry stop marked was very reassuring. We were provided with good information for the unit and the area. The owner was particularly helpful when our plans had to be changed due to a strike in France. Emails and phone messages were responded to promptly and communication was in English which was a great help for those with little Italian.
We were happy to simply walk the streets and soak up the colour of Venice, the shops, the food and wine and the people. We were pleased we went to the islands of Burano and Murano and they are well worth a day trip.
For travellers arriving at the airport the Aliguna ferry is easy as it goes to San Zacharia and it is good for luggage. In any event the owner will advise the best option and timing.
In all we had a wonderful stay in Venice and highly recommend this apartment. We hope to use it again in the future.

We had wonderful days in a very nice appartement near all important points of Venice. Only 5 minutes from the boat station San Zaccharia and from San Marco we started every day excursions through and around Venice.
The very nice owner met us at the boat station, so we reached our home for one week very easy. We will join this appartement again, when we return to Venice next time.

Very comfortable, clean modern and roomy 2 bed apartment with everything you need to make your holiday perfect. Nicolette met us in front of hotel Daniella after catching the water taxi from the airport and it was a 5min walk to the apartment. Restaurants and cafes, supermarket were all very convenient. We were very lucky with the weather and were able to explore Venice to our hearts content. There is a balcony but as with many of the apartments in the old part of the city there is no outlook to speak of but Venice is best enjoyed wandering about.

A perfect retreat in Venice

Review Submitted: January 5, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
We are a couple who stayed in Alice for 16 nights over Christmas and New Year and it was an excellent choice. The apartment is clean, modern, rather minimal but very warm and comfortable with lots of hot water, comfortable bed and plenty of storage. The situation, so close to San Marco means it is near just about anywhere you might want to walk to. The kitchen is certainly adequate but we did miss not having a toaster or microwave. As sterling had just plummeted we ate in more than we anticipated and found an excellent supermarket at Punto in nearby Calle San Lorenzo that had lots of interesting Christmas meats and treats - after Mass at San Marco we had boned duck and a beautiful pork joint covered in fruits and nuts. Possible activities we recommend are getting the boats to Torcello for a fish lunch at Villa 600, getting the train to Padua, Vicenza or Verona (very cheap and comfortable) and if staying for Christmas, go to all the free concerts in the churches. We also recommend getting a discounted travel pass online before you arrive from Hellovenezia that you can use for unlimited vaporetto trips. All our arrangements went perfectly, we were met at the vaporetto stop, the owner stopped by to check we were ok and we could leave late for our flight as no one was checking in the next day. I recommend this apartment thoroughly for the price, as if you can self cater it makes for a very comfortable and economic trip.

What a Wonderful Holiday!

Beautiful Venice Scotland
Review Submitted: October 28, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
The location is ideal for Grand Canal/St Marks Square. Nicoletta, the owner, made booking easy and met us at the vaporetto stop to ensure we reached our apartment without hitch. We stayed in Luni which is surrounded by a variety of restaurants and shops so eating either out or in of an evening was easy. The apartment is modern in feel and very clean. Beds are comfortable. We were never aware of any noise from other surrounding properties. The only minor drawback if we were being really 'picky' was the lounge which was always in the shade of a neighbouring building but I guess that can be said of many properties located down alleys in Venice! We would certainly return to this property.

Quaint and Private

Review Submitted: May 13, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2008
My wife and I recently stayed here in Venice and loved it! It was very clean, quiet, and private. A little gem hidden away from the tourist crowds. Yet, within minutes of all the main attractions that make Venice so unique.

This newly remodeled apartment has plenty of room with a beautiful bathroom and a kitchen that includes all the ammenities you will need. The decorations and furniture are also very nice, as well as new! We would definately recommend this place to anyone and will stay here again next time we are in Venice.
