Our Perfect October Holiday

Gill, Norman and Oliver Fareham, Hants - but currently living in Madrid
Review Submitted: October 24, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
A perfect place to relax and also sightsee. Very comfortable and clean apartment, great beach, we couldn't get our son out of the sea on the bodyboard borrowed from the apartment. Great location for visiting Tarifa, Morroco, Gibraltar, Jerez (fabulous Flamenco, astounding Andalucian Horse show and Sandeman Bodiga), Sevilla, Cadiz (wonderful), etc, etc. We're so pleased we spent two weeks in this lovely apartment as we were also able to totally relax, reading the books, watching the available DVDs and enjoying the local wine kindly left for us by Julie. Thank you sooo much, we are returning home totally chilled with lots of photos and happy memories. See you again soon when we will definitely visit Gaspars Restaurant for another delicious meal.

Perfect time of year to visit - no one else around, sunny weather in mid 20s C and sea still warm enough to swim without wet suits. It felt like we practically had the 10km+ beach to ourselves!

The apartment is really well appointed and terrace overlooks the complex's garden with views to sea - and wonderful sunsets.

We mainly self-catered (which is easy with fully equipped kitchen & small supermarkets and fresh produce market only 2 km away in Zahara) but if you want to eat out every night, you will need to travel to Zahara - as most shops & decent restaurants in Atanterra were closed.

A great place to slow down and chillout for a week!

Not just a holiday let ......

Pete and Margaret Hampshire, England
Review Submitted: October 12, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
...... more like a proper home. We know Zahara from past stays in hotels, but fancied a change and, as part of a month's tour of Spain, we opted for rental. 1133 sounded just what we wanted, and we were certainly not disappointed. In fact, we were DELIGHTED. The accommodation is excellent, the furnishings and equipment well beyond normal 'holiday let' expectations, and the whole property has clearly been lovingly maintained by it's owners. A most pleasurable fortnight.

Hello Julie and Steve,
As you know we have been coming to Zahara for 5 years or more and it is very special to us.So natural, with wonderful people, many who we have got to know quite well..
Your appartment made this stay an absolute pleasure, so well equipped, comfortable and with personal touches that made it almost home from home. Your welcome was tremendous and I'm only too sorry we didn't manage to meet up for that drink.... next time!!
Many thanks and take care,
Chris and Gill.

Trip to Zahara

Review Submitted: August 12, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Hello Julie
We are back in Holland after a three days trip back. I hope we left the apartment in a good condition. Any how I wrote a message in the guestbook. Our stay in Zahara was very pleasant, we enjoyed our vacation and for sure we like to come back once. From there we visit many highlights and especially our trip from Tarifa to Tanger was one of the most interesting. Further on we visited El Puerto de Santa Maria (corrida), Gibraltar and Sevilla. Kids were enthousistic. Your apartment was well furnished. The boys saw the movies “a fist full of dollars, the gladiator, all of them in English without any problem. From the apartment we really made the beach walking to Zahara three times, walking along the beach and had diner in Rincon the Leon.

Dear Julie ,we did enjoyed our stay, if there are any complaints about the condition in which we left this little palace let me know. I hope we may come back next year, but then for some longer period. Two weeks was not enough. We just got habitantes and then we must leave.

Next week I am back in my office and I will sent you some pictures , really interesting. Don’t tell the whole world, keep it secret,
with love from a sunny GOUDA,
Frank, Nicole, Stephan and Thomas

When Julie sail fully equiped she meant it - it was home from home could have arrived with a small holdall!!! Felt like home. We were the only english people around and that was the highlight of Zahara. Pool was fab and the beach a bonus.....especially the sundowners at the beachbar which laid carpet and cushions on the sand at 6pm...............just perfect!.....Thank you Julie and Steve xx

Fantastic atic in Zahara

Ana & familia Madrid, Spain
Review Submitted: July 20, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We have just returned from spending 2 weeks in this great apartment in Zahara and we miss it everyday, especially its huge beautiful terrace, with views to the ocean, to the countryside and to the sky. My children did not want to return home...

We usually rent apartments in the Cadiz area to spend our summer vacation, and this has been one of the best ones we have been to.

The house was very clean upon arrival, including a very nice welcome pacakge (food and beverage). It is fully equiped and furnished with care, including many things to feel at home (music, movies, etc).

Even though we carried our own beach equipment in the car, the house had everything needed for the beach: chairs, parasol, toys, kite, etc. And it also included a drier, very useful for colder weather or humid nights.

The area is worth a trip and the weather was excellent. In any case, we do recommend you Julie & Steve's apartemnet, no doubt.

A Week in Zahara

360Nut Cambridge, UK
Review Submitted: March 29, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
This apartment is possibly one of the few that can be classed as a home from home. From first walking in to the apartment the cleanliness and the level of equipment and furnishings makes you very welcome. This is enhanced by the views from the terraces and the bedroom windows, which are extremely large. This apartment has everything that you could possibly need to enable you to have an enjoyable stay in an outstanding region of Spain. The area is quiet out of the main holiday season, however we found this to be too our advantage needing to wind down from the stresses and strains of the UK. There are plenty of places to visit along the Costa de la Luz, however a car is a necessity. If you need a quick Brit fix then a day trip to Gibraltar will provide you with everything British, but with sunshine. The restaurants in Zahara provide a good to excellent level of food and they have some of the freshest seafoods that we have recently eaten. The owners have spent a great deal of time and effort in providing information on the village of Zahara and the surrounding areas. All in all highly recommended.

Owner's Response: Thanks Clive & Debs, and the panoramics you sent have been great. Hope to see you again very soon and thanks so much for leaving the apartment so clean and tidy really appreciated it.

We have stayed in both of Julie and Steves apartments in Zahara and as usual wasnt disappointed. The sea views from this Penthouse are a treat and the terraces are huge plenty of room to relax in the sun.
Beach, Pool and Gardens all only a 2 minute walk so no need to pile in the car
Apartment well equipped everything you need plus lots of extras to make the trip a real treat.
All in all another fantastic holiday and well worth every penny
Thank you
