We had a great time, the villa was all we could have asked for . Its in a great complex with easy access to the beach and town centre.
I felt the food on site a bit expensive but there are loads of bars and restruants very close by with a vast range of choice. We hired a car for two days to visit the islands attractions, booking was easy and plenty of infomation was given to us before we even got there.I would recommed this villa to anyone of my friends with confidence. A trip to fire mountain and a ride on the camels is a must a fantastic day out.

fantastic villa and complex

myself,my husband and 4 girls had a fabulous 2week holiday at simon and juliets villa.our 2nd time at the complex and loved it.the villa is clean and fresh, with loads of cupboard space for your clothes and cases.
the kitchen has everything you need for a self catering holiday with a full size fridge freezer.oven and hob and a microwave and dishwasher.the t.v has some sky channels but 1 channel shows back to back up to date films which is great if you fancy a night in or if you have kids.you can collect a list of the daily films from the reception.
the sands beach resort is in a prime location with being right at the sea and close to all shops and pubs.
the sands has daily day time and evening activities ,including kids club, french bowls, scjolen and quizzes, which my kids and myself took part in and enjoyed.there is also an internet cafe or a gym onsite for those who do not like the kids stuff.the onsite supermarket is well stocked and on a par compared to other supermarkets on the island its quite reasonable.
the night time entertainment starts around 8 with the mini disco first then followed by an act ,such as tributes to tom jones, michael buble and the temptations.theres also dancing and snake charmers and the bird of prey show.p.s the bar is a bit expensive .if going out i reccommend cactus jacks.los zocos, the highlander.legends.for food go to el patio ,the boulevard, and again catus jacks do good food.
if you fancy a trip into puerto del carmen, the bus leaves from outside the los zocos apartments.on the hour ,then every 20mins after.the journey is around 40mins and costs only 2.5 euros each .
,i took the bus (leaves from los zocos on the hr /then 20mins for 1 euro each) to valtara where there is a giant supermarket called the hiperdino.i spent 190 euros (for 2 adults 4 kids) on my food and drink and that lasted my 2 weeks, you can get local beer for only 19c a can.and the fresh chicken breasts are lovely.so for those of you who want to do nothing and just chill out by the pool with a beer ,get to hiperdino and stock up the villa kitchen it really is a home from home.see you next year juliet!

everything you could want from a holiday

hen week nottingham
Review Submitted: October 9, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
i booked the villa for 5 friends on a hen week and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. After being in the villa for about 10 minutes we were all sitting relaxing on the terrace, discussing when we are going to come back again and all our family that we are going to bring with us next time. The resort is lovely and clean and straight away we all felt relaxed and at home.
The entertainment staff put on some sort of activity every evening except for a thursday as thats there night off.
we watched a performance of starlight express one night and it was amazing as they were all skating round us as we watched them. there is also karaoke in the evening.
the entertainment staff also put on activities during the day for the kids and adults. we did rifle shooting, water polo and had a great day doing an adult treasure hunt. I found the bottle of alcohol !
the pools are lovely and clean and we spent a lot of the week chilling by the pool in between doing the activities.
everyone there is really friendly.
we will all be coming back again soon and juliet and simon who own the villa are brilliant as they genuinely want you to have a great holiday and you couldnt ask for 2 better people to rent a holiday villa from.
thanks for a fantastic holiday x

We went to this villa 11Sept 2008, the owners were very understanding, as we wemt when all the flight problems were going on. The villa was an accurate desciption and we were sent more information than any other holiday we have booked before, also haveing the name and phone number of the cleaner was peice of mind, even though we had no need to phone her. We found the villa in a lovely clean condition with lots of extras like, books sun cream toys for the pool, a real home from home. The complex was spottlesly clean with very friendly staff and so many different areas to relax in. We will definitly go again, thanks

Villa Del Sol May08

Review Submitted: July 10, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
We have just returned from your villa in Sands Beach Resort, Lanzarote and the only word we can use to describe our holiday is FANTASTIC. Your villa and the resort had everything a family could want in a holiday. It's the first holiday that we have been able to relax and unwind with the home comforts of your villa which isn't easy having a 5 year old and a 2 year old. The weather was great, sunny and windy but not too hot for the kids although the swimming pools were cold - haha...
Your villa was excellent - the kids spent most the time watching films which meant Nigel and I could take advantage of the sun and the sangria and it also gave us the opportunity to stay in some evening and cook with having the oven facility which you don't normally get in hotels/apartments and it meant we didn't have the hassle of trying to get the kids showered and changed.

The resort complex was excellent - your villa is so well placed for everything, the beach, the mai tai pool and bar, the restaurant and obviously the pool - in fact you never have to venture far for anything apart from bread and sangria from the supermarket, hence the reason for putting a few pounds on.....

A fantastic Apartment A great holiday. April 2008

Review Submitted: May 18, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2008
We stayed at the villa in April 2008, it was very windy, but lovely, the apartment was clean, and well maintained with lots of space. The complex was excellent, the staff very friendly and the facilities were very good.
This area of Lanzarote we have visited a lot and feel very at home here, and feel it is very safe for all. Great places to visit or just laze by the pools/beach. Fantastic places to eat, try the Glass House for a carvery or the Slow Boat Chinese round the corner. This is the first time we have booked through a private owner, and found it an easy pleasant transaction that ran smoothly. We will be re-visiting again.

my husband and i and 4 children stayed at the sands in dec/jan it was wonderful.it was very festive indeed with the decorations and tree and xmas songs .the villa is of a high standard as is the complex.it is fresh ,clean and bright,it has everything you need for a self catering holiday with plenty of utensils and kitchen appliances.the maid service is very good bringing you clean towels and linen.there was plenty to do in and around the villas including..a choice of pools,1 at the bar with a waterfall in it,a private beach and a lagoon, kids club, mini disco,a gym.the food was great with good choice for the kids.the night time entertainment was good too with dj matty, max and pete the snake charmers and ledge the male vocalist and many more there was something different every night to suit everyones taste.if you go out for the evening i recommend cactus jacks bar and lanis restaurant.im looking forward to going back later on this year.

Fab all round family holiday!

The villa felt like home from home, it had everything that we possibly could have needed and more for an enjoyable stay.
The staff at the complex were all very friendly from the reception staff to those at the bar. The views out to sea from the villa were beautiful. My son loved the private beach around the lagoon which was an ideal place for him to play and swim safely.
We found lots of really nice places to eat out around the resort.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward for a chance to return.

Excellent Family Fun

Happy lady stoke on trent
Review Submitted: January 2, 2008 Date of Stay: December 2007
My family had a fantastic holiday in this beautiful villa. We went just before christmas, which was a great break starting the festive season early but in glorious sunshine, so had a tan christmas day. There were decorations everywhere though so the kids could still get excited about santa.
The complex is very family orientated with many things to choose from, such as the many pools, the kids club or its own private beach which the kids loved. It even had a pool by the bar so me and my husband were able to relax with a drink whilst the kids swam beside us.
The food was good value for money and cooked really well but there was also loads of places to eat in the town, again at good prices which having two kids was important for us.
It was cheap for a taxi from the airport and when we arrived the villa was really clean and tidy having everything we needed to be able to cater for ourselfs. It also had it's own little veranda to be enable us to sit in the evenings once the children had worn themselves out at the mini disco and had a good run around. There were lots of children there who they made friends with, which was great for my son as he is 8 and does not like playing with his 3yr old sister all the time.
The staff were great and really friendly giving the kids sweets all the time and ice creams that were far to big.
They also had a happy hour on the bar where drinks were two for one which kept the husband happy.
Whilst we were there we found a fab taxi driver who took us around all the sights and the volcano which was very interesting, he was great fun telling us the local history so even the kids enjoyed it.
Would defiantly recommend this villa and resort whether you have children or you just want a quiet break, there is something for everyone. Will be telling all my friends about it.
